My dad was stationed there in 1974 or 75, I'm not sure of the exact dates. He has a mystery illness. symptoms resemble a stroke, but all the doctors he has seen did tests and ruled out a stroke. Anybody else have mystery symptoms? I'd like to find out more about this. I'd say, as the grown son of a Marine who was affected, the Government owes all these people, big time. They will pay, one way or another, even if I have to risk prison or death. some things we just shouldn't let slide.
My beloved Corps has amnesia. I will try to bring them out of it.
Some how when I was stationed there and in a self propelled artillery battalion, we were provided a degreasing solvent to clean the artillery. It was called dry cleaning solvent. It came in olive drab 55 gallon drums. Not something you would buy at your local K-Mart.
How did that stuff get on the base? How much of it was ordered? How was it disposed of?
Hopefully that will help my beloved Corps to remember.
i'd rather spend money on bottled water as NC water in general tastes terrible to me! I grew up in Colorado Springs and the water is so good!!!! Nothing can replace the awesome crisp clear taste of CO water.
The video states that the affected families were notified by the year 2000. My wife was stationed on Camp Lejeune and gave birth to her son there during the years of highest contamination. She was not notified until 2008. She has been suffering from neurological symptoms for the last 2 years.

Well the government does notify residents of municipalities if/when flouride is to be added.
I wish the USMC notified me that I was drinking their toxic waste - TCE/PCE, Benzene, Vinyl Chlorides, etc.
