  • i love the way you say "Let's go" at the beginning introduction :)

    it's so sexy :D

  • 我是德国人住在西安,我很想去福州! oh yeah, are there many foreigners living in Fuzhou?

  • @strgaltdelete I filmed this video a couple of years ago when I didn't see any other foreigners in the city, but I'd imagine there are some there now. I think all of the major cities in China, including second- and third-tier cities have foreigners living there.

  • 我是德国人住在西安,我很想去福州!

  • I missed Fuzhou

  • those graphics on the side sure are annoying

  • Wishing you Joy & Peace in the New Year,

    Amituofo !

    好想福州的小吃;锅边糊、拌面、扁肉燕、炒白果、鱼丸、卤货...

    愿家乡的人们平安、吉祥!

    阿弥陀佛...

  • @ranfeng9 Thanks! Happy New Year 兔 you, too!

  • Nice video! How much there could be taxi hire for a day ?

  • @aroundjapan Thanks! I think I payed 300 or 400 RMB for the day there. That was almost 2 years ago, though. So maybe it would be closer to 400 now.

  • Great! I was searching for my hometown video made in English so that I could share with my foreign friends. I went to all the places exclude the mud bath and fresh-eating fish bath, must have a try next time I am home. Btw, you visited the Fuzhou City, there is other suburb places like Changle, Fuqing, Lianjiang, Yongtai etc. have many interesting temples or tourist destinations to visit.

My friend says that you should visit to mumbai next time too

  • @rochelleraj I'm glad you found my video. I love Fuzhou so much. Next time I will try to spend some time out in the outlying towns. I spent a long time in Zhangzhou filming a 30-min travel feature on TuLou (not posted on the Internet), and I've been to Xiamen 3 times.

  • If you have chance to visit LianJiang, you should visit my town, Guantou (琯头镇).

LianJiang county breaks down 14 towns. The village I grow up is called Shan Dou (山兜)

  • @wangwi9009 Thanks for the comments! Next time I go to Fuzhou, I will spend some time in the outer towns.

  • @sdweathers I should make a video of my hometown when I go visit sometimes in the future

  • Hey Steven, I like all of your videos, but I like this one the most because Fuzhou is my hometown. Have you been to LianJiang, its a county northeast of the city? Lianjiang the place I lived until the age of 11.

  • @wangwi9009 Thanks! I really love Fuzhou because it has it's own character among the cities of Fujian. I haven't been to LianJiang, but it will be on my list next time I go.

  • 谢谢!很有意思~

  • @yukiikyuta 不客气。:)

  • So Fuzhou seems like an interesting city. Would it be wise to visit for a week or two if it was my first trip to China? I know somebody who lives there.

  • @TheVinster I always recommend that people visit cities in which they have friends. Traveling alongside locals is the best way. I stayed 6 days the first time I went, but I took a few day-trips to other cities around, so a week may be too long unless you want to visit with your friend. Enjoy your trip!

  • Ah interesting you were in 蜗居.

  • @Phlegethon 就是我

  • Thanks!

I like this place very much !

    Hot spring...温泉。

    Amituofo...

    阿弥陀佛。。。

  • sexy...

  • I love my hometown Fuzhou!

  • I love your hometown too. I wish so much that I could go back to Fuzhou right now. But I need to get a university degree so I can get a work visa there. :-( Means I still have more than 2 and a half years to go...

  • perfect job! so cute in mud bath and fish bath

  • Thanks for posting that! I may see you in Shanghai this year if all goes as planned!

  • Cool! Keep in touch.

  • about that spa resort i think it's not good as u said,i have been there for around 4 times, but the service is not really good, and the place is lil bit dirty to call it high class spa resort lol..they need to clean and repair lots of stuff, and i feel interesting in that church,i have been in fuzhou for 3 years and go to lots of church in fuzhou, but never heard bout that church,i wish i can visit that church in sunday, btw nice video ^^ thx for share...GBU

  • Thanks for the comments. I was just at the spa resort again about 2 weeks ago, and they have renovated it very well. Regarding the service, I've found that making videos is a great way to get good service! ;) The church was cool.

  • Nice job on this and your other videos Steven, looking forward to your film from Xiamen.

  • Thx! I'm in the editing studio this week.

  • Wow! So cool. Love the mud bath (so would my boys). But the flesh-eating fish thing? Crazy! Is it supposed to be therapeutic?

I really enjoyed the footage of the church, too. 20,000 people each Sunday? WOW.

  • The flesh-eating fish is meant to be good for the skin. Apparently the fish eat the dead skin. I was only one in the pool that day, and the fish were hungry.

Regarding the church, I made sure I heard her correctly: 20,000 and not 2000. The woman said they have 6 services every Sunday with about 4000 people at each one.

  • great video! have you been to Xiamen?

  • Thanks! I will spend Spring Festival in Xiamen next week. It's on my list for filming!
