  • Simply brilliant!

  • It's "Lillian". "Liliam" is not a name anywhere in the world.

  • @rdangelo Thanks for setting me right for what is obviously not a typing error by the visually impaired channel proprietor but an unwise and doomed attempt to impose an invented name on this musical piece. BTW it's 'Lilian' with one L.

  • @frogandpeach1 the number of l's is not important, because it sounds the same either way. Oh, you're welcome.

  • @rdangelo I suppose that depends on whether you're reading or listening.

  • It doesn'y get much better than this, folks.

One of the finest motion picture scores ever and a soundtrack to a film I will forever cherish.

  • formidable! thanks!

  • Rest in peace Dudley, you were great, I miss ya

  • This is great and very evocative of how fab the 60's were for some people! I listen to "cornfield "all of the time , too. Hope someone uploads it one day!

  • The late great Kenny Clare on drums.

  • @rumpali1

    Or is it Art Morgan?

  • @clondraboy It is definitely Kenny Clare.

  • @rumpali1 Wot! No Crew-Cut?

  • Great version, thanks for uploading! Spine-tingling.

  • Wow! Simply incredible! Although Bedazzled was not exactly one of my favorite movies overall an excellent movie, I've tried feverishly to find the soundtrack from Bedazzled with no success! Would it not have been lovely to see Dudley Moore perform with Antonio Carlos Jobim! Wow! Thank you again for this wonderful video! :)

  • califgirl101 - I have the vinyl LPs from Bedazzled and Thirty is a Dangerous Age Cynthia. Try looking around for them. The music is incredible.

  • just love it-many thanks-what talent-so missed

  • The original Bedazzled is one of my favorite movies of all time. One of those films you were always happy to catch by accident on late night tv.

    *raspberry*

  • Wow. This is great. I mean really great.

It's almost a shame he wrote this in 1967, a few years too late to be a pop hit as rock was so dominant at the time.

  • Wonderful, just wonderful.

  • Aah, Dudley in a Bossa Nova vibe. I love this score. So evocative of all those optimistic, romantic sixties films. It conjures up a carefree, escapist , sophisticated world of sports cars, beautiful women, cocktails, casinos and tropical beaches. What a multi-talented genius Dud was, so sadly missed.

  • I totally agree! Love the nostalgia Dud's great songs evoke! Brilliant jazz musician, composer, actor and comedian!!

  • @magicksam Perfectly expressed. There's something timelessly cool about this era and the music in it.

  • Another Fantastic work of Art.

composed for the cult film Bedazzled and a much better film than the remake.

this film was filled with this sort of rich Jazz sound that 60s films were made of. It's what made being in the 60s was all about and made it feel really modern and almost futuristic at the time.

Imagine being in Dudley's shoes and able to put a fantasy together in the form of Raquel Welch and then to add feeling to it with your own composition, believe me it works well.

  • Bedazzled is such an underrated film! One of my favourites. Always has been.

  • @Moviemania001 Good post my friend!

  • Haha, I thought that punching thing was the back end of a horse at first glance.

I love the tune at 2:05. And I used to have a photo of 2:17 on my cabinet not long ago.

Aw, the end is so cute.
