When researching the false doctrines of the Mormon church, why stop there? Research the bible and it's origins, it also borrows from past religions. Granted the bible is as old as it is claimed to be, but the religions and superstitions it borrows from are even older.

I would add Galatians 1 6-8. 6 I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— 7 which is really no gospel at all. I tried to read the letter replied to you but the words are too blurry. I'm assuming the bishop was not receptive to the things you said. Good heavens, my former stepmother forbade me to even talk about God to him and tore my half brother out of my life. I haven't seen my brother since 2000 and when I dared to contact him via myspace only hours before his 18th birthday (for goodness sake, it was 4pm the day before) he replied to me saying not to contact him! Guess all I can do is pray for him.

He may have had other interpersonal problems with members, but this is not unique to any particular church or even any organization. Proverbs 30:5,6 declares that every word of God is pure, & that if we add to it we will be found a liar. @AdAequitas If you think you always existed perhaps you want to take that up with God, He declared that He Created everything Genesis 1:1 Isaiah 44:24. If you think there is more than one God you should do the same Isaiah 43:10 44:6,8 and the rest of the Bible make it very clear there is only one God, and that God does not know of any others. You may want to look at 1 Corinthians 1:17-31 and question why your church thinks the preaching of the cross is foolishness. Also C 2 Thessalonians 2:8-12.

@AdAequitas Romans 11:6 teaches that if we could be saved by works, our salvation would have nothing to do with grace, and if we are saved by grace it has nothing to do with works we have done, or can do. 1 Corinthians 1:18 declares that the preaching of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing (on their way to hell) for those who are saved it is the power of God. Guiltlessness is what gets a person into heaven, not good works. Good works do nothing to remove sin.

@bujin21 The most compelling evidence I have seen is NHM inscribed on a rock 1000s of miles away, that Mormons want to claim as proof for the BOM. Evidence should not even be hard to find for the BOM, if it happened, there should be millions of archaeological evidences that could prove certain claims made in it. Instead there is zero archaeological evidence that definitely points to anything in the BOM, or its claims about the Americas. Entire cities should be possible to find if they were real.

Yeah, after sending this letter in, my bishop and two counsellors came to my house to make sure I sent the letter. I told him I had, and that I meant what I had said in the letter. They turned and walked away. A few weeks later, I saw the bishop at WalMart, I kind of waved at him and said hi, because I had nothing against him at all. He walked by me, as though I was not even there, and just totally ignored me. My Jesus says I am to love even my enemies. Though Mormons are not my enemies.

Wisdom, is a proper use of knowledge. Knowledge is what we learn through study, examination, questioning, and looking for evidence. 3+2=5 this is something that we can know, as knowledge. If someone offers you a 5 dollar hamburger for 7 dollars, you would be wise to turn the offer down, based on your knowledge that it is only worth 5. I see no contradiction. We study, and learn facts, and knowledge, if we do not know how to properly use the knowledge that we have, we can pray for wisdom.

If a person is lost, they are under the wrath of God John 3:36, at the same time though, God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked. Jesus died so that sinners who are under the wrath of God, can be made right. I desire Mormons to get saved, if they are following Mormon doctrine though, they will not be saved. I have nothing against the people, my problem is with lies that they are believing that will cause them great harm, if they do not accept the truth.
