If I wanted to be paparazzi ... Sony A55 + 70-400G lens or Minolta 600mm/f4 (thats loads of reach, you can even use TC with that .. it has effectively 900mm on APS-C like A55). Advantage of A55 is.. yes, it has 10 FPS too. And very good high ISO. Though thanks to lens, it wont be much cheaper than Nikon gear.
