Yeah, it wasn't a devil sign. I actually just watched a clip where he talks about the "I love you" sign he gives. It is because of a deaf girl who loves the show, so he did it for her.

I always thought of Richard Dawson as a master of "cool". And I always liked that about him.

I have never seen this side of him before. And I must say, that I have more respect for him than ever!

Wonderful man !!! People in Hollywood from that era got a bit of a bad rap at times but when you see and hear this story it kind of makes you feel like its all good again. What a good guy.

Thank you for posting this most touching tribute from Mr. Dawson. It's no secret that Richard Dawson had his issues on and off the stage. However, seeing this is a strong reminder to everyone that even though people have problems, many times there are experiences that can calm even the most toughest of people and they can show that they are caring people.

I have to agree Richard is such an awesome human being, I love him so, he had such a warm heart from everything I have seen him in I am a huge fan I have always wished him happyness and love throughout his whole life, he seemed real. Lot's of people thought he was a real sleaze ball because all his kissing women on the lips, but what a great and caring man. And not ashamed to show his emotions. He has cried on the show many times!
