  • can i have some reliable recources to this video (websites)

  • @TheDarkMastermindz I REALLY NEED THE RECOUSES FOR A PROJECT PLEASE PUT THE BIBLIOGRAPHY IN THE DESCRIPTION

  • Without the images and having read the wiki article I wouldn't have been able to understand you

  • The first emperor of China was not a kind person. He was mean. I don't like him.

  • I feel amazed that he was murdered 3 times but not success, because he is quick and have the strategies to set several places to rest at night. :) While I saw US president Andrew Jackson was also murdered by a mad man , but that guy fired 2 times shots by approaching him, but , they are all invalid. How fun is this. :) These just show, they are great people only. And they all killed the murders instead, so , be careful when you try to do sth like this. :)

  • Such Emperor will actuall excute his own parents. :) if they doing wrong things. :)

  • This is really helpful for my assignment. You answered all my questions. It's a bit fast, but I can understand it.

  • the shen religion is dharmic !

  • the shen religion and the dharmic religion should unite and become westerners like the europeans .

  • Qin Shi Huang didn't really do much - he was just along for the ride while others did the work. There was only 6 kingdoms left, so if he didn't conquer the states someone else would've - he wasn't anyone special.

His kingdom fell apart after his death, which shows how much of a failure he was. East Asia re-fractured into multiple states again and Liu Bang had to reconquer everything. Liu Bang of the Han Dynasty is the true founder of a unified Sinitic Empire that actually lasted centuries.

  • @Intranetusa Liu Bang actually mixed centralized government with several vassal kingdom within his empire,,, it is emperor wu who created true unified Han empire,, ironically, emperor wu often compare with qin shi huang for their similarity,, Qin Dynasty is long generation process from Duke Xiao, King Huiwen, King Wu, King Zhaoxiang, King Xiaowen, King Zhuangxiang and then Qin Shi Huang himself,,, but if he was a moron how he capable finished the grand project unification??

  • He is part of the reason why China exists today. The man was a tyrant, but he also left a legacy that would outlive every negative slur that was threw against him by confucianists and the Han Dynasty that seceded him. Even the people who rose against his dynasty would eventually adopt his system of rule. Better to have Qin Shi Huang reign as Tyrant for 25 yrs so that a country like China can reign for over 2000.

  • @Lordofthenipplerings thats true... people call him a tyrant... i call him a hero. empires arent made by bullshit peacetalks and negotiations. its made by war and great conquerors, tyrant or not. deal with it you fucking pacifists

  • @wengkeat5

He is no hero and doesn't deserve credit for China's existence. His ancestors were the ones who created the Qin army. The Legalists were the ones who created the efficient bureaucracy. The Confucianists and Taoists were the ones responsible for scholars and intellectuals. His generals were the ones who conquered the states. Qin Shi Huang didn't really do much - he was just along for the ride while others did the work.

If he didn't do it someone else would have - he wasn't special.

  • @Intranetusa who??? most king except for him only know about party and womanizing,,, like to hear slanderous talk and didn't trust talented people,, Shi Huang know how to use many talented like Li Si, Wei Liao, Zheng Guo, Wang He, Wang Jian, Meng Qi, Meng Tian, Meng Yi without look their past and background as lowly birth,,, confucian only know past and nothing about future,, taoist?? wu wei = do nothing,, yeah right,, no wonder chu became so corrupt despite much potential to defeat Qin

  • @Lordofthenipplerings under a tyrant rule for less than 15 years is nothing compared to suffering Spring and Autumn Period and Warring States era that last for exactly 800 years after Zhou ruler lost their authority toward their vassal,,, many merit and beneficial things happened during Qin era like standarization weight and measure, chinese character, coin and financial, ritual, building road to distant place, irrigation canal for transport and farm.

  • Comment removed

  • also Shi Huang didn't compromize with foreign barbarians as he sent General Meng Tian to drive them out middle kingdom,,, those things helped stabilization chinese society and reinforce sense of unity,,, compared him to many successor emperor who do nothing but talk and womanizing clearly nonsense

  • @Lordofthenipplerings No, the reason that the Middle Kingdom exist today is because of the First Dynasty... the Xia Dynasty... Because of Yu the Great... While I give credit for Qin Shi Huang for reuniting the country, he was not the first to do so... He united the people by force... Yu the Great united the people (the tribes) by work, leadership, working among the people to build a Nation... I want to see the day that people will return to calling "China", the "Middle Kingdom"...

  • @badgerbucky582 Unfortunately, we dont have any sense of organized and comprehensible writing from the Xia dynasty. So it would be considered neolithic. Shang would be China's first official civilized dynasty while the Chou and Qin further expanded on that. Qin Shi Huang got rid of the local feudatories and replaced them with personally appointed civil and military officials. Which would lead the way to Imperial China, the civil service examinations and how China would operate for the next 2000.

  • @Lordofthenipplerings I agree but the way that he ruled the empire is what caused his dynasty to be one of the shortest reigning Chinese dynasties...

  • @badgerbucky582 He wasnt well liked. Most historians described him as a tyrant. But he left a legacy. China was no longer a confederation of kingdoms ruled under a single dynasty. He centralized the empire, and every dynasty after him would try to emulate that.

  • @Lordofthenipplerings I agree that government officials should be selected based on merit and exams... which Qin Shi Huang did started... It better than what is happening in the United States, today... Our President Obama might have great ideas but he does not have the experience and political skills on the world stage to lead this country of the United States... Nor the governor of Wisconsin, Scott Walker... I live in Madison, WI... Walker did not even graduate from COLLEGE...

  • @badgerbucky582 Xia dynasty merely legendary folk,,,

  • Thanks to Qin Shi Huang..... Japan was created..... Any arguments pls refer to the story or history of creation of Ancient Japan

  • @ultramarine930 He was a good for nothing evil demonic fat ass who enslaved poor men into making mud walls and brutally killed thousands for no reason he killed by Wei Yu an assassin but he was never mentioned nobody knows who that fat asshole died but i believe he was assassinated

  • @GundamFan360

are you mentally retarded or just seriously uneducated?

first of all, almost every king or emperor in the world are fat,and the "mud wall" is what kept china safe from the nomadic tribes of the north, and he brutally killed thousands of people so he can secure his power, and every great emperor did that, like genghis khan, julius caesar, hilter

and why would anyone care how he died?he was old anyways and what he wanted to do was already done, get back to school kid

  • @ulongkoror shut up i know more then you his rules are still being practiced in china today he has made a big impact on chinese society to this day. He was extremely evil and deserved to be killed

  • @GundamFan360 your the one who should be killed. you fucking moron

  • @ulongkoror agreed

  • Comment removed

  • qin shi huang wasnt his real name qin shi huang means emperor of qin but i dont remember his real name

  • @RichieRich1489 wikipedia.

  • @RichieRich1489 Ying Zheng,,, Ying is the name of clan and Zheng is personal name

  • That Name of ''Uang'' is still used with the Luang and Zhuang of the Tai Kadai Language speaking people ''uang'' today is use mostly in Laos and Parts of Thailand and parts of Yunnan Province.

  • Simple the Greatest malitary hero... like Alexander the Great, Napoleon, Inca Pachacutec, Mao Tse Tung, David Ben Gurion...

  • @titiqaqa1

Mao was not a good general, he was a political mass murderer. As for David Ben Gurion... he was just a lump of pig shit.

  • @AndreHiltre If Mao wouldnt got the power Japan would still be in China

  • @Lilycha100 Bollocks the decalaration of war by Russia on Japan in August 1945 would have seen them in China. The Kwantung Army evaporated in the face of three Soviet Fronts and there was no way the Japanese forces could have stopped them. The Soviets had even begun taking Japanese islands

  • @Philodiogenes Dude japan would still be in China so shut up -.-

  • @Lilycha100 Complete cobblers. The Russians were making mincemeat of the Japanese and the american blockade of the sea of japan meant there would be no way for japan to run a war in china. They had lost where it mattered and faced invasion by the Soviets or Yanks. With their homeland gone how would they still be in China? The armies that were there came home after the surrender anyway.

  • @titiqaqa1 actually Shi Huang never personally led his army,,, but he is excellent administrator and has skill to use talented people,, many his close and loyal servant not born in Qin and many of them also low birth not nobility but Shi Huang only want their talents not background,,, he is exemplary modern leader in many sense who has farsighted view about his people

  • The secret Qin history is lost because Ying Zheng is the descendant of Lu. The myth China is unified is joke. China always exist since time Yellow Emperor. The Chinese writing system is 4800 year old. Ying Zheng try destroy the history to justify his rule. The Qin Army is part past army Chou, Shang, Xia and Yellow Emperor. This is direct from Qin ancestor.

  • @tomabc2003 actually i think Lu Buwei section of history already fabricated in order put name Ying Zheng under bad light,, we can't believe 100% what sima qian writing back then because Han needed legitimation for their rebellion toward Qin,, if china already unified why the exist so many kingdom during Xia (if exist), Shang and Zhou, I won't call it united but only confederation of state also excavation ancient tomb prove different chinese character back then,, if Yellow Emperor indeed exist

  • first the only thing i was thinking was TAKE A BREATH.

  • Did you know Huangdi was an alien who gave the compass, the language and the great wall.

  • Nice video. How did you find your music? What program did you use?

Also: How did you get the animation in your film?

hit me up and maybe watch my movies, tell me what you think....

  • he died of eating mercury pills lol

  • If I was Chinese I would be so proud because of this amazing history =D

  • Awsome video. Needs a soundtrack or list

  • Is this a school project?? Bad audio.

  • Not really bad audio but bad inflection in reading. Could have put more emotion into reading it.

  • The most important factor of a presentation is tempo. If you go too fast you loose the audience, if you go too slow, you bore them. It's difficult to master it, but try and talk at the same paste as one thinks and it'l be great!

  • sound likes this is a project for school or something

  • 2:43 - Qing dynasty's currency, but not Qin. Prolly used during Puyi was in his throne.

  • But same shape.

  • And the coin is inscripted "Xuantong Tsuuhou."

It is definitely not during the era of Qin.

  • holy cow! where did you get the video clips?

  • Wow cool did u make this? i need to do this for school hwk XD i wont copy =.=

  • Singapore music From Pirates of the Carrbiean At worlds end

  • Do you research!! The first emperor of China sent 3000 young boys and girls to Japan to look for nostrum for himself to live forever. There was no civilization in Japan at that time. These boys and girls brough Chinese civilization to Japan, that is why japanese culture is so similar with Chinese. But the first Emperor himself was 100% chinese.

  • thats right the anceint japanese branched out from Qin's China. So could it be QSHdi was a "cousin" to Japanese? you know Qin was a state nation before it conquered china. QSHdi's last name was嬴, and was it a coincidence Japan was called 東嬴. Come to think of it, both Qin and Japan were similar they fact both are very militarized, emphasize on advanced military at their time, and both had iron willed rulers, ruthless military leaders.

all these could ring a bell?

  • You should say QSHdi was the ancestor of japanese instead of "counsin". Also, many regulartions set by him were applied for thousands years even nowadays. He might be ruthless at his time, but the ruthlessness we talk about today was not the case as 2200 years ago. At that time, without a firm leader, and a ruthless army, works wound be done.

  • i would never agree to all that bullshit. Alexander united a fractured Greece, Genghiskhan united Mongol tribes, and went on to build and expand their empires. What's the difference? they gave an empire their ppl thought their never dreamed to se. their. Sure, it was not easy but they loved doing it. But in China they hated it. Why? both Alexander and Gengiskhan motivated their people, their soldiers. But QSHdi enslaved them.

  • Alexander's people asked for leaders like just like him, and what he did was exactly what people had hoped for, exactly what their envisioned it to be.

Pharoph kings of egypt enslaved his men to build tombs, QSHdi enslaved his conquered his subjects to his projects. He burned their cultures to their ground, having no shit respect for them. In the end these two empires lived short and failed miserably.

He was the epic conquerer in china, but he was the epic fail ruler of china

  • What?? At 221 BC japanese were uncivilizated! Qin Shi Huang Di was a patriot chinese.

  • Good doco but yo have a blocked nose girl.

  • But you forgot the coolest part about this dude.... How he forced convicts to go to the front lines of battle and kill themselves in front of the enemy soldiers and mortify them, while his soldiers attacked from the back...

  • NICE

  • Sometimes too much information is not very good for a short presentation like this. You used way too much information, the result is utter confusion.

  • I would not use the word "Emperor" but the word Huang Di to describe the head of the Chinese Imperial System. Qin Shi Huang is the first Huang Di.

The word Emperor is ambiguous. The symbolic ruler of the Zhou Dynasty is called "Tian Zi", he is technically an "Emperor", but he is not because of the limited and misleading naming system the Sinologists set.

Side Note: Ying Zhen (Qin Shi Huang)is also a "Tian Zi" but he also bears the title "Huang Di" as well.

  • In the Chinese context, if you unify the land and establish peace, who cares how many lives you take? You will be immortalised in history!

I have seen a documentary on Zhu Di, the third Ming Emperor. The Chinese view him as one of the great rulers in Imperial China, yet the British documentary labelled him as a despot.

Some sort of value judgement here eh?

Side Note: Qin Shi Huang offended the Confucians, thus he is recorded in Chinese history as a tyrant.

  • offended or mass murdered?

  • This is obviously not professionally done (to the previous comments left by others).

This is probably for a school project or something (I'm assuming), good job :)

I can't claim that Qin Shi Huang was a good ruler, but the nation he forged and unified as well as the social and economic reforms he enacted during his rule has stood for over 2,000 years. That's good in my book :P

  • Zhou and Shange were Kings, not emperors.

the other mentioned are more myth than history as there is no recording.

  • the only thing shi huang di did not know or probably knew, is that there were more emperors before him. The Xia, Shang, Zhou, Eastern Zhou, Western Zhou, Huang Di ( Yellow Emperor), Fuxi, Shennong, and lastly the 3 sovereigns & 5 Emperors.

  • Agree.

  • The first three is Huang,The last five names you mentioned are Di.

Qin Shi Huang think that he is greater than all 8 of them combined thus he named himself "Huang Di" by fusing the title "Huang" and "Di"

Qin Shi Huang knew this earlier than you :)

  • these were Kings not Emperors, and the "3 soverigns & 5 Emperors" is just legend

  • its great helps alot

  • Very interesting.

  • This is much help for my Ancient China Essay! THANKYOU!

  • half this shit is off wikipedia anyway... clearly stock footage

  • haha! I got A-! WOOO!
