I think technology is the most responsible thing about this. Now its easy to make songs so every artist doing it with the easy way. Most of the songs we hear today is bunch of sounds created with machines, even the vocals. But it makes the songs soulless and uninspired.

Hey T-Pain, thanks for making auto-tune so popular that everyone is using it. Auto-tune sucks! The vocals are very annoying and horrible (mainly from DJ Khaled) and the beats suck. Things need to change for the better.

Oh, and there was *SOME* good music in the 2000's. But when it comes to artists like Miley Cyrus, Jonas Brothers, Akon, T-Pain, Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy etc. it's garbage. But everyone has their own opinion though.

And another thing, beats today all sound the same almost, they all have that same techno melody. Music beats today doesn't have it's own identity.

For example when you hear Michael Jackson's Billie Jean song or Madonna's Music song, soon as the beat drops you are gonna recognize that song. But not with today's songs. They are all AUTO TUNE AND TECHNO CRAP. The only music that is good today is, MARIAH CAREY, MADONNA, JANET JACKSON and a couple of others just to name a few.

The problem with music right now is the beats. If you guys notice the beats today are not memorable, it all sounds thrown together. And rappers today don't rap like they use to. If you listen to Jay-Z's old music it sounds way better than is music today. Now days rappers rap too cocky, you can tell by their voices, they rap with a cocky accent and it just comes off as if they are not trying. And singers today use auto tune like crazy.

So will music today be nostalgic ten years from now? NO!

Rap and hip-hop take the lead, and dance-techno and R&B also get airplay. but it's not a genre thing, it's that these styles seemed already uninspired... like cheap versions of each... it's not just a matter of oppinion, it's almost a fact... Jay-z sucks, rihanna sucks, kanye west sucks, miley cyrus sucks, jonas brothers suck huge balls, justin timberlake also sucks big time...
