aunty ur recipe is so awesome that with out cooking it we enjoyed it very much. but it would be even better if u have added butter.................... at least half a table espoon of butter
Hello Aunty, very good receipe... but since its a butte paneer masala, why no butter in receipe???? are we suppose to use at the time of garnishing ??? reply plz....
hi manjulaunty.........thanx for ur recipe.......was really helpfull.....will be serving ur recipe for ommorow dinner for guests....looking forward for more recipes from you...
corn starch is to thicken the gravy.... but if u add flour directly it will lump. So dissolve in water first... just a little so its not lumpy... then add small amounts and also note as it cools it will thicken more as well. Hope this helps :)
erm this looks delicious. I thought it was paneer makhani, as many restraunts in the uk serve a similar dish called that. I think that is because the term makhani is used whenever butter is used.
Hallo Aunty , I Love your all recipes,Though i have some Query
plz tell me which brand of yogurt U used for this recipe ? If u use homemade yogurt , how u prepared it?N another one is where i will get cornstarch. Your all recipes are very easy .Thank you N Take care.
I just finished making and eating this dish... it was delicious. I didn't take out the seeds of the green chili, though so it was damn spicy. Oh well, lesson learned for next time...
Hello, Your recipes are great. Why is it that none of your recipes include onion? Is it for religious reasons or is onion not called for in these recipes?
One could include onion, you can fry it and grind it with the tomato to maintain the smooth consistency or if you like a grainier consistency fry them and then add the tomato paste.I'm sure the restaurants surely add onion.
U r a lifesaver of all the indian youngsters away from home in US...love how u make everything look so easy..u remind me so much of my mother..will u pls add how to make mirchi pakodas/stuffed capsicum..thanks in advance..keep posting..

hi manjula aunty!!!i have been watching all your videos............they are really mouth watering!!but here in this recipe...i can't find the butter to be added to "butter paneer masala".....just wamted to know..whether mistakenly you have skipped it.....or we don't have to add it at all??
I haven't been able to find Paneer at the regular grocery. I guess I'll need to try an international store. Possibly might try w/ Feta cheese (heavy culture milk taste) if i can't find paneer.
Manjulaji, for this recipe do you seed the tomatoes before making the tomato puree?
Also, once you add the yoghurt, do you lower the heat to medium? I continued cooking on medium high heat, and the yoghurt split a little. Also, I wasn't left with much gravy at the end. The end-result was very delicious though!
I dont seed the tomatoes, and I do lower the heat after addinf the yogurt add the salt towards the end that helps so yogurt does not split. I am hoping you have add the corn starch for thickning the gravy.
Many thanks for posting this delicious recipe. I tried it with naan today and it was great. My family enjoyed it. Once again, thanks a lot for this great recipe.

Besides being completely vegetarian, you also never use onions or garlic in your recipes.I always thought onions were compulsory in some dishes but thank you for teaching us that it isn't necessarily so.

instead of frying the paneer in oil, try this:-
1. marinate raw paneer in a mixture of yogurt, green chili, garlic, ginger and salt for 3 hours (this is for flavor and softness
2. Now grill the pieces of paneer instead of frying
3. let me know what you think of the flavor

Hi Mrs. Manjila, how r u doing?
1) How many cups of milk have u used to do the paneer u made for this recipe?
2) The paneer looks kinda solid in this video, doesn't it? How did u manage to make it this way?
3)can I use Halloumi cheese instead of Paneer?
I think that Halloumi's taste kinda resembles paneer's.
