My son was frank breech and I had him vaginally. ceseareans carry the same risks as vaginal births and additional ones as well because it is major surgery. Do your own research. You doctor only knows what he/she was taught. There is no reason to have an episiotomy either. Read the thinking womans guide to a better birth.
travely82 - your size makes no difference in ability to give birth vaginally. the risks of a scheduled cesarean are much greater than a vaginal breech birth.
Umm, breeches are not terribly more dangerous than a vertex birth, and sometimes it's just what the baby needs to do. Before getting a c-section for a breech, do more research on the matter, don't just blindly follow a doctor's orders.
