I'm at like 65,000 miles on it now, and I may just buy another VW again, or try and Audi! I do like the BMW's, but they are so common with the rich pricks in my city of Phoenix. I'd take a low mileage e46 330i or e46 m3 though! :)

So i THINK the 3.5 with twins on her is gonna fucking smoke the passat with 300. even cars with 400 hp get slowed down from awd so 300 is a mistake in acceleration.

For the 23k that you pay in the USA, we in the uk can only get a basic 3 door 1.4 model with no alloy wheels, no alarm. If you want 5 doors with the same spec and no electric windows in the rear that comes in at 23,120 dollars. If we in the UK where getting a 2 litre GTI for the price you get it I would agree its good value for money.

I say the new 2010 Mustang ain't so bad, and I haven't heard about reliability problems with that V8. Supposedly in two years it will get the EcoBoost twin turbo V6. Anyway, a GTI and a Mustang shouldn't be compared.

'jocky102', you have NO IDEA what you are talking about. You must be about 12 years old! We're talking VW, not Audi. VW's have been stagnant in the HP/torque department for years now, while the competition has 50-60 more HP (Subaru, Cobalt SS, etc.). The 2010 GTI has gotten SLOWER! The '03 24V VR6 and '337' GTI's hit 60 in 6.5 and 5.9 seconds, respectively!

Guess what Sophiegromit they do its called Audi, all the S3 rs4 etcetc, its not all about hp, lets face it the American have big 7liter cars with 400hp or so, we have 2 liter (evo fq400) with the same power. hp is not the most important thing, its how it is delivered and its handling when on a track, and the gti or r32 power is more than enough to make it a name (STOCK) on a track

I drove the GTi 2nd gen, the GTi 1.8 turbo 1999, the last GTi, 2006, before this one... all CRAPPY CARS... Supermarket rubbish for the supermarket-minded people (not for you, I presume, you surely drive from Wal-Mart to your scottish chateau, right?).

the DSG is a double clutch gearbox which means= it will shift faster than you could ever do with a manual. It is considered one of the best gearboxes in the world.

There will be a R2.0T model, 2L turbocharged with 270 hp. The same engine as in Scirocco Studie R.

I just read an article today, and I found out that the Euro version is indeed 210 hp, and they have many features in their cars that we won't get in NA. Hopefully, that means our car will be way cheaper. ( I still can't believe bi-xenon don't come standard anymore...)
