I find it funny that both California senators, as well as most of the representatives, were against Prop 8, and yet it still passed. If they had been the ones to vote on it, it wouldn't have gone through. Oh well. Hopefully Obama will do something about it on a full-scale federal level.
I didn't call in sick but I think gay people have every right to call it as they see them. Reading these comments I just had to laugh. There are more gay people that arent haridressers, actors and such. I'm sure if I called in my patients would miss me. I am a cancer doctor. So I do think a day without this gay would be missed. Prop 8 is wrong. you should never right into law discrimination.
If I worked for an employer that allowed for someone to call in gay, and the employer let it slide.....You can bet the very next day I would be calling in straight.
Hey if there was MORE DAYS WITHOUT A FAG perhaps MORE people would get FIRED for NOT showing up. This would equel MORE jobs for the economy. So this day without a fag may NOT be a bad thing. SOME OF YOU ARE RIGHT WHEN YOU SAY EVERYDAY SHOULD BE A DAY WITHOUT A FAG...LOL

Trust me, we don't enjoy living on the same planet as you fucktards at all, either. Fuck you all.
Yeah, you'd better hate on the gays for being more successful than you. Or was it the Jews? Or the Asians? Or the blacks or latinos? See, maybe your life doesn't suck because there's some minority group ruining it for you, maybe it just sucks because YOU'RE A LOSER!

The whole gay issue is BS, nobody cares, it's a diversion to conflicting about race, hmm need to argue, make it about gays, sure ,whatever, anyway, why can't gay ppl get married? What is the logic behind banning them from marriage, because marriage is for procreation? then Couples that need IVF to conceive should be only allowed "civil unions" by the anti-gays own logic.
marriage is an institution created by the state to encourage the formation of families and reproduction. it is specifically for the continuity of nations. the destruction of the nuclear family in this country means declining native birthrates and increases in immigration - inevitable downfall of any nation. the rise in homosexual activity is another side effect of a nation at the verge of collapse. mohammed is right - the muslims will defeat us if not by sheer numbers.
the spread of deviance and perversion by these people is the greatest threat to the family that any nation has ever faced. even famine does not deter birthrates as africa is every indication. a few families not having children is no big deal but a nationwide epidemic like this means doom for america. if you enjoy living in america, then you will oppose gay marriage and the gay lifestyle until your dying breath if you want this country to exist in the future.

Yeah, whenever oppressed people begin to stand up and fight for their rights, these sorts of bigoted troglodytes crawl out of their holes in the ground to spout their irrational, pathetic hate.
However, the American populace is on the right side; most surveys show that the majority of the country supports gay marriage or unions being legalized. We just need to get on the streets and make demands heard!
wow, inept....I would love to see a troglodyte, but I would pay to see a bigoted one. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean you need to slander them for it. I thought you guys were all about tolerance.
Tolerance is not something I extend to bigots, sorry.
I didn't know "us guys" were known for tolerance, because I don't even know I was grouped together with some apparently tolerance minded "guys" that you associate me with.
Gays demand tolerance and acceptance, but you don't afford that to others. If you prefer that I "group" you together with "gals", I can do that too.
The point is advocates for gay rights stand on the old soap box preaching how hated they are and how much they suffer, but when someone disagrees with you, you become the intolerant individuals you claim to be fighting against. You obviously have no idea what a bigot is. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't make them a bigot.
I think you're missing the point entirely. Bigots aren't just people who disagree with you over some abstract concept; its people who hate you or believe you to be something less than human simply because of something that you are.
And have you not read many of the comments here?!? If you can't admit there's a hell of a lot of anti-gay bigotry going on, then you must have your eyes closed.
Inept, on the definition of bigotry, I agree with you. I hope you will note that not all of us do that however. I find it sad that people can't discuss the issues without bringing heated emotion into it. It is definitely a hot button topic.
Please reference "most surveys" that you spoke of so that I can see them as well. If the majority of the country supported you, why have 33 states amended their constitutions to define marriage as a man and a woman only????

LOL great! Instead of day without a gay, I propose a lifetime without a gay. Or better yet, I propose instead of calling in gay, let's call in white. Let's see what happens to the world economy when 230 million Americans suddenly decide that they aren't going to work to support minorities any longer. Votors new that gays already have the rights of marriage under California law, so since they had little facts about the gay side of the issue, they choose to vote against it. What the gay community fails to realise is that it was not the money that won Prop 8, it was the message, or lack theirof, that people made decisions on.

The problem is that gays thought they would win on principle. Hey I'm gay, it's my right. What they didn't do is put effort into addressing some of the concerns that people had on the issue. While the yes campaign cme out with various facts(and believe me, I did the research to find out if there was any truth to them, there is No supporters just denied the claims, their commercials focused on mocking yes instead of giving facts.
You call in unexcused (gay)....You will at minimum get a written warning and suspension without pay, and if your already on thin ice, this stunt WILL cost you your job. That is my companies stance. Taking your frustration out on your employer will have no effect but to more fully bias people against you. Think before you act. Radislav has it more right than people think.
I agree with you a 100 percent. We are NOT in a good economy for a person to toy around with there job like this. I'm afraid it might backfire on a few people. All for a "Day Without a Gay".
The economic crisis makes gay marriage all the more crucial to win, not less. With the financial and economic benefits that marriages entitles couples, that could seriously ease the burden of many millions of gays across the country.
LOL.....ha ha ha ha. Are you saying that all Obama has to do is legalize gay marriage and our country will be pulled from the clutches of recession????
How could we have been so blind as to not see this as the maverick economic relief package. Quick....get it to congress.
The automakers are sure going to be relieved.
Heck, let's legalize drugs too, and that will help the economy.....LOLOLOL
I never said that at all. Nice strawman. The economic crisis is something we're going to be for a while.
What I'm saying is because the economy is in such a bad shape, it makes equalizing marriage laws nationwide that much more important, so as to provide gay couples with the financial benefits entitled to married people. Because they deserve and will need them.
what I continue to have difficulty with Inept is this:
What financial benefits are you not entitled to? Prop 8 would afford gays nothing that they don't already have, and federal benefits like Social Security is unaffected by prop 8. As far as I know only federal tax and Social security benefits are exclusive to gays, and I would happily join you in obtaining these benefits, but not by changing the definition of marriage.
For example, in a civil union, if a biological parent dies, his/her partner often would have to front money to adopt the child because custody laws are generally very vague or non-existent in civil unions.
There are plenty of similar problems surrounding inheritance and healthcare benefits.
Sounds like the issue lies with your child custody laws then, not marriage. The only problems that I am aware of are Federal benefits. In the state of California, you have it pretty good regarding laws. Nationwide is another story.
Sadly some of the people whom I know voted yes on 8. for them it's fine if i exist in their world but only to a point. i make a good audience, a good ear, a good member of the supporting cast. They thrust pictures and stories of their own happy families at me, but they, without compunction, voted against me, my rights, my happiness, my equality.
What a crock. With statements like " my rights, my happiness, my equality." You make it sound like life just can't go on because you can't have the state government recognize your union as "marriage", like happiness hinges on that one term. You have the same rights to marriage that every other american has. You can't marry a cousin, a sister, 3 women, a dog, or someone of the same sex. No rights were violated, a definition was clarified,....period.
lol-I wouldn't say bigots, but my dad was a Lutheran Minister. It was a long, beautiful journey for my whole family but we now all see my sexuality as a true gift from God because we learned so much about Love through it all.
Sodom and Gomorrah had NOTHING to do with homosexuality. People like you have distorted it to support hatred for centuries. It was about inhospitality to strangers which is something you probably do not want to face. I most certainly Do have a wonderful relationship with our loving God and your ascertion tha He is anything but that is blasphemous.
Das meintet garnix...verstehste nicht der Bibel? Romans 1:27-38 - "Darum hat sie auch Gott dahingegeben in schändliche Lüste: denn ihre Weiber haben verwandelt den natürlichen Brauch in den unnatürlichen;
Happiness DOES hinge on things like hospital visitation rights, adoption, retirement security. Happiness also hinges on things like not getting beat up or killed because some nut-job thinks it's okay to do this to a gay person because of all the mindless rhetoric coming from the pro prop 8 side.
Can you tell me how me marrying a man negatively impacts your life?
It's funny you mention bigamy, since it's the Mormon church that spent $20 million fighting for Prop 8.
And if you're playing the homosexuality-doesn't-exist-in-nature card, amoebas reproduce asexually. That would be an argument for human cloning. Do you support that? (btw, homosexuality DOES exist in other animals).
Homosexuality does exist in nature. There are many show's on it on the Discovery Channel. I'm sure they can be looked up on Utube as well. Good comment!!
This isn't just a moral battle, so people can feel abstract happiness by winning the right to marriage (though it is that as well).
This is a battle for concrete financial benefits that heterosexual couples have over homosexuals purely on the basis of sexual orientation. That's discrimination, much like the legalized separate and unequal status that blacks experienced (and many would argue still do) in the last century.
Please tell me inept, what financial benefits are you unable to obtain through a civil union? Please answer carefully. I will give you a hint. Only Social Security and Federal Benefits are unobtainable at this point, which would have been unaffected anyway with Prop 8.
The truth is, sexual orientation is a choice which is why it is not recognized by the EEOC as a "protected right". Comparing yourself with the blacks is the same stale argument, but it's apples to oranges pal.
I'll tell you a right we don't have. I didn't have the right to be with my dying lover. The family made sure of that. He was sick for a month before he died and I was not allowed one visitation. At the end he wanted me not them and yes they did have the right to deny me and him of our togetherness.
Sounds like you should have gotten that civil partnership paperwork in jryan. California Family Code provides for that. If you have a DP, then you should have enforced it.
I find it funny that both California senators, as well as most of the representatives, were against Prop 8, and yet it still passed. If they had been the ones to vote on it, it wouldn't have gone through. Oh well. Hopefully Obama will do something about it on a full-scale federal level.

what? they were bigots and you turned out gay :)

lol-I wouldn't say bigots, but my dad was a Lutheran Minister. It was a long, beautiful journey for my whole family but we now all see my sexuality as a true gift from God because we learned so much about Love through it all.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Gay is not a gift from God.
Genesis 19: the story of Sodom & Gomorrah
1 Cor 6:9
Lev 20:13
Rom 1:26-27
Deuteronomy 23:17
I don't know from which Bible you and your family read from, but you must use a lot of white out while reading it.
I understand that I may be throwing pearls at swine, but you mentioned religion and i had to warn that gay and God are not possible.
I hope you find your way back.

Let's say u r right about sod and Gomo for argument sake, what about the rest of the verses?
The Bible is used for reproof and correction, and I did nothing to say that God is not love
I have never supported hate towards gays.
I love it when gays have to go back to saying ,"you hate" Is that the best argument you have?
With Lutheran's accepting gay bishops, I can see where you are coming from.
There are qualifications for bishop and being gay is not one of them, unless you are using whiteout.

Homosexuality wasn't mentioned in the Bible until 1942.

Das meintet garnix...verstehste nicht der Bibel? Romans 1:27-38 - "Darum hat sie auch Gott dahingegeben in schändliche Lüste: denn ihre Weiber haben verwandelt den natürlichen Brauch in den unnatürlichen;

Happiness DOES hinge on things like hospital visitation rights, adoption, retirement security. Happiness also hinges on things like not getting beat up or killed because some nut-job thinks it's okay to do this to a gay person because of all the mindless rhetoric coming from the pro prop 8 side.
Marrying a dog? C'mon, lets debate like grownups.

Man Marrying MAN, How about lets be Sane.

Tell me about it, They should allow woman marrying 2 or more men or vice versa. At least we see that in nature. LOL
bosoko 3 years ago

IneptTroopr 3 years ago
