  • The ending?

    Already?

  • They should have removed the US Soundtrack in the XBLA/PSN Released of Sonic CD.

  • @conradojavier Nah. I personally think its fine as it is. Some of the US tracks were actually pretty good. Plus, it starts as the Japanese tracks, so you have to go out of your way to pick the US ones. otherwise, you never once have to hear them.

  • @conradojavier why??? with both soundtracks everybody wins.

  • I forgot that sonic games were about platforming, can someone point me to the direction of a soundtrack that's not all "MEXICAN SOMBRERO TIME ARIBA"

  • woo! YAAAAY!

  • This game had fantastic music, at least, the Japanese and European version did.

  • if you imagine yourself playing OutRun, you'll think that fits just perfectly!!!

  • the 1 dislike is metal sonic for not being in the level

  • @truckie132 I agree with you, Yuja Naka had a vision and Naofumi Hayata did a great job in expressing this vision, but Spencer Nilson destroyed it in the USA version with his slow uninspiring music that can put anyone to sleep.

  • I think that the US version fits more, because it feels more like a vacation on an island. This is good, though.

  • I'm lucky I got the JP version! I LOVE THIS MUSIC!

  • Kinda absurd and not digging the vocal background noise. Not a bad track but I think the U.S. version fits the stage more.

  • @AndrewCP2k8

I have to disagree, AS a SOUNDTrack The U.S Is better, but for the game the Japanese Fits more for the one reason...

The Past Music...You see Every song is a deriviation of the Past song, because of it, It's Literally sounds like the songs are Literally going through the change with the time, Which for the GAME makes the Japanese one better. Vocals be damned, as they are ALWAYS prevalent in Sega Games (Streets of Rage 2 and Sonic 3 Had it and people love those OST so much)

  • YAY

  • I swear this Japanese version is exactly the same as the European version. But that's awesome! :D Yay for Europe and Japan!

  • @Xludo73GoEco

Haha......the European and Australian release just used the Japanese music as-is. So I found it funny when you said, "I swear this Japanese version is exactly the same as the European version."

Having said that, I agree, you guys lucked out. Actually, I envy Europeans the most because they got BOTH musical scores at different points--the Sonic CD Sega CD and PC releases both had the Japanese music, but the European Gamecube re-release had the American music. So you guys got both!

  • @TheShockMaster

Haha, mate. We're the lucky bastards.

  • @TheShockMaster I've still got a gamecube but it's a dodgy one and is monochromatic. I'm 100% sure I ended up getting an overseas GameCube. It turned out to be an american one and my TV's not NTSC compatible so It comes out black and white. A monochromatic gamecube will not do very well for my eyesight. :(

  • Soundtrack fanboyism? Oh dear.....

I personally use an ISO file and edit the music with tracks I like from both versions. Problem fixed. Some themes from the U.S. version is good, and same goes for the European/Japanese version.

  • US Version's music fucking sucks, this version >>>>>>>>> US.

  • @fuckooo

No. Both are good for what they are.

  • @fuckooo

i diafree completely they are equals

  • This actually is the US version

  • @Shadownnico no this is not the us version IDIOT,us version music sucks and japanese version music ROCKS

  • @jeffpolol That answers one question but makes 9000 more!

  • this = sonic's theme if he was in mvc3

  • Sounds like mario party

  • I don't know why but it appears my replay but broke ... :(

    NO !

  • It's funny, if you pull off the "I'm outta here!" thing, those little brats will shout "YAAAAAAAAAY!" right when Sonic jumps! F*ckers...

  • Nothing like starting a game with music that makes you think "F*** YEA! LETS GO!"

  • this is the way sonic should always have his music. i Luv this song!!

  • Am I the only one who feels ripped off here?!?! I like the music for the US version of Sonic CD, I really do! But why does the JP version sounds so much cooler?!?!

  • Hang on a sec! This is same music from the american Palm Tree Panic (PAST) only a different version!! lol

  • @RazorSlik From my understanding, the Past music for all levels, both US and JP versions, are the exact same. The music for the Present, Good, and Bad Futures in the JP version just seems to compliment the past music.

  • ah fair do's

  • @RazorSlik All regions share the Past music

  • @2010gaje No they dont.

  • @R33Racer uh yes they do the JAP and ERU have the same Soundtrack but the US has a different soundtrack but the PCM songs which are for the Past timeline are all the same between all 3 regions

  • @2010gaje Your saying all the past zones have the same music?

  • @R33Racer No They have their own themes but its the same themes for all versions despite the US version having a different soundtrack.

The US version's music composer wasn't allowed access to the game's internal files which held the Past themes.

He was only allowed to edit the MP3s that are on the Root of the game disc.

  • @2010gaje Oh right, wow that is odd.

  • Congratulations, here's your brand new CAR!

  • That's the good future.

  • Comment removed

  • Is there a link to said remix anywhere?

  • Comment removed

  • @troysson81 If you want a remix, search "Sonic Mega Collection Plus Ending Credits"

  • ahhhh its likeee music to a wicked party wooooo! much love for the jap/eu sonic cd soundtrack!

  • so good

  • Japanese/Euro Sonic CD is what Sonic CD was meant to be, much like Mario the Lost levels being the real Mario Bros 2.

  • To be honest, even though the lost levels is the actual sequel to the first SMB, I find SMB2(Doki Doki panic in japan) a better sequel even if it's a redesign of a non-Mario game. I find the lost levels a bit too similar to the first one.

  • Really?

Miyamoto has said he despised Mario Bros. 2, and if there was a remake, it'd be of the Doki Doki Panic version.

So if we go by your logic, Sonic CD's American version is the true version. I agree with that logic. ;)

  • ehhh i like the pc version of the song better

  • at some pooint in the song, it kind of reminds me of the gusty garden galaxy music from super mario galaxy.

  • I don't know why, but I prefer this music more than Green Hill Zone (but I prefer more Sunset Hill Zone)

  • Amazing music. At the climax it makes me want to just fucking run and go mental. Heh.

ALL IS WELL IN THE WORLD.

  • Present A carnival is being held and everyone is celebrating

Bad Future Robotnik crashes the party and all is sad

Good Future Robotnik is thwarted and everyone celebrates more

  • What're they celebrating in the first place? XD

But I agree, the JAP version puts a deliciously festive twist on an otherwise straightforward tropical paradise.

  • the PAL/Japanese version is the best

  • I have the Japanese version! It's fun!

  • YEAH!! *APPLUASE*

  • whenever i hear this song i wonder why the american version has a different soundtrack, this was fine

some of the songs on the american one were not as good, such as this one

  • I remember when this track was played in Sonic Adventure, when the 2k holiday event download was activated: touching the 2k Ring would play it for the entire level you're at xD .

Can it get better than having this track play on the Emerald Coast stage xD ?

  • Hmm...its kinda the past, a bit spruced up, with an optimistic tone thrown in

  • No, actually, it's the Present music in the JAP/EUR version. Wow, I could barely remember the past version myself, and yet everyone else can remember it so crystal clear they think of that immediately on these versions!

  • Ha well I grew up with the American version so it just comes naturally to me lol.

  • Same here, but the Past song never stuck out to me. I only really remembered the Present and Bad Future (I was too horrible to get a Good Future when I was a kid) until recently.

  • Ya, it never quite got across, I never got a good future either, haha so you dont have to feel bad lol

  • I got it eventually, though!

  • Says the user who has five channel comments talking about the user being a dicksucker.

  • Sorry, did you even look at them, or are you just trying to deny the fact you have these comments?

  • Um ok then...no you are mistaken sir...I'm sorry but then this isnt your music. Not mine either. I love it as Sonic music but not really something to listen to. If you hate it dont bother saying you do, everyone likes stuff from goth to meditation remember 0.o

  • I guess you need some attention for posting stupid bad comments huh ?

  • This is true Sonic music, people.

  • I want an MP3

  • a good song for the summer

  • the japenese ver is more modern hiphop style, the us ver is more 80's.

the japenese is crazy and awsome, fits sonic perfictly, while the us... meh sort of catchy but bland, serious and tasteless... not sonicy

    japenese is better

  • sonic will always be in my childhood memories! sonic rox!!!! ^^

  • "yeahh" XD

  • sonic cd japan music version kicks ass

  • your mom sucks ass!!! (spookylanguage7)

  • so does yours and i think i left my stuff at ur house

  • ekkkkkkkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!! I LUV THIS SONG! JUST IMAGINE IF SONIC WAS DANCING THIS SONG!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing song

  • I hope the get the Sega CD on the Wii VC just so I can play this...WAAAH!! X(

  • With both soundtracks!

US and CA needs to get the JP soundtrack.

  • the japanese version is much better

sonic cd is one of the best classics sonic games

  • the jp and na versions of this song are both good.

  • but not americas bad future for it aswell as good future

in japanese all the palmtree songs rocked

  • i think that all of the palmtree panic music fits in one way or another except the good future us.

  • yeah its too uncheery for a good thing its still all the mayans are still chanting theyre creepy song in the bg in us it dosent fit good at all

  • Whee! Oprah!

  • EVERYONE IN THE AUDIENCE GETS A CHAOS EMERALD OF THEIR VERY OWN! or time stone. whatever they are calling them in this game. =3

  • YAY! *applause* lol, I love the cheering in the palmtree panic tracks =D

  • Whoever does that "WHOO! YAY!" voice really needs to die. Other than that, the song is fun to listen to!

  • hey u are u stupid?

  • ...Yes.

  • Comment removed

  • pie =3

  • i like it in the bad future because theyre not cheering anymore cause of the destruction theyre SCARIN ya

  • actually, sonicthejackrabbit, amy wasn't even captured yet.

  • shit i accidently sold my only copy of sonic cd(japanese).. i want it back.

  • thank god for roms

  • i agree with scratch799. it ruins the music somewhat.

  • actually, i think the "WHOO" kinda fits, the "YAY" is acceptable, but the "*APPLAUSE*" ruins a lot of things.

  • I don't see why people quarrel over what soundtrack is better. It's just plain stupid. These people should just respect both soundtracks because I think both soundtracks are wonderful and unique in their own way.

  • I love both soundtraks. Even thouh I have the American version I still love the Japanese version better! Yeah! RAISIN!

  • I sure love tacos

  • Thumbs up to you, squishyoprahtacohair!

  • the present music can actually be a good future music

  • just more cheeryer (alittle happier)

  • and what gives you the right to name those who like this music as fags? Both tracks used are excellent, it just so happens a lot more of us like the Japanese versions

  • you must suck at sonic that you never get good future in the american version then it would make sense why we like jap better

  • This soundtrack sounds like a cross of Green Hill Zone and Emerald Hill Zone.

  • Perfect music, gets you all geared up for the rest of the game with this awesome track ^^

  • This music sounds better than the American one! Japanese are always better!^^

  • No, they're both good in their own way.

  • Umm...I guess you're right!^^

  • This music is awesome!!! Best I've heard in a long time.

  • I've been looking for this forever. Thank you!

  • Can you post the good future for palmtree panic? I haven't seen it so sorry if its already up.

  • Hedgehogdude18 Can you Post Palmtree Panic America Version of Sonic CD

  • The present and good future music is similar in the jap game.

  • I like the Future mix better because of the Piano solo. :)
