This is actually a 'good' crash. The car is continuing forward, dissipating energy by loss of car parts. Sure, the driver is getting tossed around like a 10 cent whore, but this is much safer than hitting a wall at 150+ mph head on and coming to an abrupt stop. That would kill the driver.

This is not the worst crash I have seen for sudden stops but it is one of the most spectacular I have seen and is definitely 'the crash with the largest amount of coolant spraying out'.

For sure this is not the worst crash. Rate of speed wasn't too high, the spectacular tumbles you saw simply dissipated momentum. It's high speed crashes like the Mercedes-Benz Le Mans flights of 1999 that are scary, especially the Peter Dumbreck flip that sent him into the trees. Elliot Sadler's Pocono crash in 2010 at Pocono was a purely hard impact. Mike Rockenfeller at Le Mans this year was terrible to. The Vegas indy crash is a million worse then this. Hellish to watch, many airborne

Not actually too bad. He didn't hit anything head on, he didn't slam the roof down and he didn't slam into anything sideways. From that speed it's about the best that could have happened in fact. He'll be a bit dizzy and shaken up, but nothing too bad or permanent.

'Most spectacular' does not equal 'worst'. It';s the ones where there's a simple head on impact and the car stops very very suddenly that are likely to kill or seriously hurt someone. In this crash the car is actually dispersing its energy very slowly, despite how dangerous it looks with all the barrel rolls. Not enjoyable for the driver but he wasn't at as much risk as it looks.

This always makes me mad when I see cars run off only to hit huge bumps or holes. Those shouldn't be there. Yes you race on the track, but people get pushed off, or tires go down, things happen. So the ground should be smooth for safety reasons. It has even happened in the highest forum of motor racing F1. Timo Glock Crash Australian comes to mind.
