Shit, I uploaded this video 3 years ago. Around then I called Microsoft and they wanted £70 to fix it. So I decided to do this technique and it worked for like 3 months before it got the RROD. Lucky at the time Microsoft fixed/replaced my xbox 360 for free. And I still use this xbox today. Baiscally you get a 3 warranty for rrod and 1 year warranty for anything else. So if you have this problem and you still have the 3 year warranty fuck your xbox this way and get them to replace it for free.

@rockxable i had the same problem you know were the av cable connect to the xbox the should be a switch with tv and hdtv its most likely on hdtv or tv if you have an hdtv switch it back to hdtv or tv and it should be fixed

The towel Trick WORKS for no video!!! I just did it. I over heated it for about 30 min, then put console in freezer for aprox 15 min, Plugged it back in, and BAM i had video + audio! I also did a display reset by holding Y button and right trigger. THANK YOU!

Just so ya'll know, Yeah it is the GPU but it's also the motherboard it's self it'll flex underneath the heat from playing so much and the x-clamps cause the bending of the board which results in blue screen of death. You have to resoder the chips underneath of the heat syncs and re-apply thermal compound. I did this and mine lasted another month. But that was cause i had to use the x-clamps and the board bent again >.> Fuck you microsoft.

the gpu itself won't overheat the heat couses the motherboard to bend and after a lot of times bending and going flat again couse the gpu connections break and with the towel trick you get it just touching each other until it heated up 2 times and cooled down you got the same problem

Yeah, I found that out. EVERYONE I FOUND A CHEAP FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM!

First of all don't do the towel trick, it melts other key components in your console and eventually will make it worse and irreparable. Just look up on ebay "xbox 360 no video" and you should see a lot of things for around 35$, I did this and it worked very smoothely plus it's much cheaper than microsoft, and it came back sooner than it would with them also!
