There were 5 or 6 cars, one (this one) is stuffed with all the goodies like NOS and a nice interior, the rest are just mock ups for stunts and driving shots, so the roof of this one wasn't thrown off, it was only used for the closeups and interior shots.
Besides that, i wonder how many copies of those were made?? Well paul walker has one (and the 2 fast 2 furious skyline), this guy has one, the director has one. They couldnt of made more then 12 because the car didnt get severly damaged or appear for more then 45min in The Fast and The Furious....
@TheMajorHawke This car was from Craig Lieberman who was a technical advisor for the movie. Its original color was actualy yellow with a different body kitt... interrior stayed the same. But then some people wanted to change the exterior... even Craig didn't liked it. This one has gray decals.. and the Supras used in the movie had black decals. So this suup was not in the movie... Skyline R34 wich showed in 2F2F was Craigs car too.

is it just me but is the tacho's needle superimposed in post production? Why go to the effort, if its missing for some reason so be it, bit distracting seeing the needle bouncing around though.
I don't know how you'd think that, its a fluorescent needle and a low quality camera, so its quite visible.
Its set at its redline, as soon as the car drives away you see the driver resetting the tach, after that you see an in car shot where the car is running idle and the tach is at idling speed.
@MrSkyl1ne Ah yes, i see now, even the bright orange buttons on the steering wheel are lagging/ghosting alot. So just a compression artifact or something. Didn't think someone would go to the trouble of motion tracking footage just to add a needle :)
I grew up with American Muscle Cars, Mustangs, GN's etc. So this isnt a biased comment against imports. I love the Supras, Evo's, etc. but why do guys in the import scene take such a beautiful car like the Supra and put all of those hideous and stupid decals on it?? @DavidGerd To answer your question, at the time, that was the trend, but now its all changed, my mate has a 1996 mits FTO (i don't think the states import these) and to look at it, its beautiful, no decals, just some manufacturer stickers on the rear window, so its just how the times have changed, well over the water in england they have lol, i don't know what its like over in the states. should you want a pic of this car gimmie a shout, i'll show you how we modify in the uk

toyoda supra 5 k .....to fully modify .... 150K+ for the parts and labour .....speeding ticket depending on where you are ....100$ is it really worth it unless you gonna do what a machine like that would be ment for(pure auto racing at that point) not really it would be exactlly as that one is a show car

It is modified as well with everything except the Nitrous system.. It still has approximately 800HP.. no joke.. it was dynoed... It was one of the fastest cars I have been in and I believe he said it goes 0-60 in either 2.6 or 3.6.. I cant remember.. I want to say 2.6..

A stock supra will set you back 3 grand, I'm not the most knowledgeable person about car mods but to modify a supra (full body kit, wheels/tyres, suspension, brakes, and interior/engine detailing) probably around 10-15 grand for a good upgrade - you dont want to make an already sweet looking car look worse!
I live in glasgow scotland and i found one on auto-trader 10 miles from where i stay! They are actually rather common in the uk but I dont know where youre from but youre probably not away from one at the moment

It has 500+ hp, coming from a nicely tuned engine, it has race grade suspension, nitrous oxide injection, and an under 5 sec 0-60 time.
And even for a car that's not used very often it runs like a charm, only problem atm is that the alternator is broken so it had to be started with an external battery. Its funny how people bitch on stuff that they can't afford, but deep in their harts they want it realy bad.
Most cars in F&F are bought from people, not made for the film.

i know what they do with the cars afterwords, and this is 1 out of 5 supra's for the movie, and this is the only one that's been fully modded, inside and out, the owner of this car also owns some other stunt cars, and full spec cars from the movie.
Most cars have a fully equipped version, and some stunt versions.
But what i try to say is that only a few of the cars were designed and prepped for the movie, but most cars in the movie are borrowed or bought from regular owners.
I happen to own a GT Limited Supra RHD. They are very fast cars indeed, but they are nowhere near as fast as everyone thinks they are. Unless a company builds one just for race and it not street legal. VERY VERY HEAVY CARS. Mine comes in at 3579 lbs. I have the 7MGTE model which is known for headgasket failures..... thank you Toyota for that one. Would rather have a much lighter car with an RB25det in it.
i think your one of only few supra owners that prefers a Nissan engine over the 2JZ-GTE :p

And if the headgasket fails there lots of aftermarket options made from stronger materials, or is the problem in the design of the cylinderhead or engineblock?

Agreed its not as fast as its made out to be in the movies but I'd love to see how much money was spent on that thing. I could probably guess about £10,000 on body alone thats before turbo's engine upgrades ect so yup can imagine it cuts to £20,000+ given what Im going through with my Toyota Trimming alone costs £1,500 Nitros costs £1,500 plus, forged pistons turbo upgrades

notl being a hater, but coming from an insane fast and furious fan, its not the real supra from the movie scenes, the one in the scenes, the autometer tach was tilted way to the side, almost upsidedown

Craig Lieberman (In the movie he's starting the races at Race Wars) is actualy the first owner.
When he pimped the supra. It was actualy yellow !
( when hitting "yellow Supra" at google pictures.. its the one with "overboost" sign in it. You can reconize the interior: blue stearing wheel and Monster Tacho )
Makers of the movie wanted to make him orange and full with decals.
And then Craig sold it to a belgium guy "Nic Keirsmaekers" and then i thought it sold to a Dutch guy from Paradigit.

toyoda supra 5 k .....to fully modify .... 150K+ for the parts and labour .....speeding ticket depending on where you are ....100$ is it really worth it unless you gonna do what a machine like that would be ment for(pure auto racing at that point) not really it would be exactlly as that one is a show car

2. Craig Lieberman's supra is the one in this video( it was signed by Paul walker and Rob Cohen and etc.)

It is modified as well with everything except the Nitrous system.. It still has approximately 800HP.. no joke.. it was dynoed... It was one of the fastest cars I have been in and I believe he said it goes 0-60 in either 2.6 or 3.6.. I cant remember.. I want to say 2.6..

A stock supra will set you back 3 grand, I'm not the most knowledgeable person about car mods but to modify a supra (full body kit, wheels/tyres, suspension, brakes, and interior/engine detailing) probably around 10-15 grand for a good upgrade - you dont want to make an already sweet looking car look worse!

yeah, and I'm Santa.
It has 500+ hp, coming from a nicely tuned engine, it has race grade suspension, nitrous oxide injection, and an under 5 sec 0-60 time.
And even for a car that's not used very often it runs like a charm, only problem atm is that the alternator is broken so it had to be started with an external battery. Its funny how people bitch on stuff that they can't afford, but deep in their harts they want it realy bad.
Most cars in F&F are bought from people, not made for the film.

i know what they do with the cars afterwords, and this is 1 out of 5 supra's for the movie, and this is the only one that's been fully modded, inside and out, the owner of this car also owns some other stunt cars, and full spec cars from the movie.
Most cars have a fully equipped version, and some stunt versions.
But what i try to say is that only a few of the cars were designed and prepped for the movie, but most cars in the movie are borrowed or bought from regular owners.

I happen to own a GT Limited Supra RHD. They are very fast cars indeed, but they are nowhere near as fast as everyone thinks they are. Unless a company builds one just for race and it not street legal. VERY VERY HEAVY CARS. Mine comes in at 3579 lbs. I have the 7MGTE model which is known for headgasket failures..... thank you Toyota for that one. Would rather have a much lighter car with an RB25det in it.

And if the headgasket fails there lots of aftermarket options made from stronger materials, or is the problem in the design of the cylinderhead or engineblock?

what a beautiful car great choice in music its just reflecting what a beautiful work of art this car is. Agreed its not as fast as its made out to be in the movies but I'd love to see how much money was spent on that thing. I could probably guess about £10,000 on body alone thats before turbo's engine upgrades ect so yup can imagine it cuts to £20,000+ given what Im going through with my Toyota Trimming alone costs £1,500 Nitros costs £1,500 plus, forged pistons turbo upgrades
