global warming is real and it is manmade..there have been small heating periods that are natural but global warming is our fault and if we don't do something about it there will be a mass chaos. The ice caps are melting at a fast rate and that will rise ocean levels. Ocean levels so high will probably cover the entire state of california and other places in the world. you are really ignorant to think that we don't have an impact on our planet.
So...Being the ignoramus that you are, you are unaware that the planet underwent massive heating to get out of the ice age, when half the planet was covered in ice? Or did you just happen to skip that in history class? The earth has ALWAYS warmed and cooled. It's called a cycle.
Carbon dioxide gas traps solar heat in the atmosphere As more carbon dioxide is added to the atmosphere, solar heat has more trouble getting out. The result is that, if everything else stayed unchanged, the average temperature of the atmosphere would increase. Since the early 1800s, when people began burning large amounts of coal and oil, the amount of carbon dioxide in the earth's atmosphere has increased by nearly 30%, and average global temperature appears to have risen between 1° and 2°F.
...You have got to be joking... The temperature to melt ice on over half the planet would have had to have risen much higher than a degree or two. This is just hysteria.
And you didn't address any of the cycles this planet has undergone...
(And thank you for being able to have an actual intellectual conversation.)
one or two degrees doesn't seem like a lot but obviously its doing much damage. Many of the polar ice caps are melting because of this and there is something we should do. This is our fault we should take responsibility for our mess. If we don't fix things not only are we going to suffer but all the other animals around the world will too. Not to mention all the health risks of breathing in that crap.
I take it you're unaware that the Greenland ice cap stayed intact when the planet was 9 degrees hotter than it is now? And that was supposedly 18,000 years ago.
Your first sentence has a logical fallacy in thinking that the Republican party has a definite set of principles. They don't anymore. They haven't for years.
As far as changing nature, do you really think that the earth is so helpless it's going to die just because we drive cars? Really? Elaborate for me.
Hey CA, how you doing? I think a couple atom bombs would "change nature." The Bible says that Christ will hasten his return "or else all flesh would be destroyed." don't know if that might mean nuclear warfare or not. But basically I agree with you that global warming is a politically created issue!

it's obviously melting now, they have pictures indicating that it is taking place and we need to take action now before its too late

Then by all means do whatever you feel is necessary. But leave the rest of us alone. Not all of us are as gullible as some.

when the smartest scientists in the world believe that global warming is real and will have a impact on us, i would too.

If you vote mostly Republican you are a republican.
At least you are on it, when it comes to the latest news about Ethanol but dead wrong on us being able to change nature.

Well, there is a passage in the bible that is likened to that of a nuclear holocaust. Take that as you will
