  • so id probably keep likes w likes the reason y i suggested doing it this way is bc what if u wanted 2 go somewhere but didnt wantto carry the huge palette well they could pick n choose which ones u need also i have another use for this method as wel when ur down sizing 4m the main pallette to the travel palette and u could pick out which ever e/s u wanted n heres the neat part since we numbered them then we can mix them up like you like the gold in the metalic line n the yellow from the bright

  • thats a great ide but instesd of putting the paper and magnetic all over the bac i think it might work better if you depotted the shadows one set aT Atime then on the bac of the pan write matching numbers on each e/s of the duo then i would cut the magnets int half a circle thats the rt size then onthe magnet w a sharpie that would show silver gold work best then id pop them in the palette and then youd do the rest also copsider the fact that they come in three categorey crystal metalic n bright

  • SO does the large size of the palette fit Ulta Shadows?

  • @carlypate Yes. I have 4 Ulta palettes as well.

  • @ALLmEYEne oh okay! Thank you so much :) I am going to buy one soon because the Ulta eyeshadow packaging broke on most of mine, the lids fell off within 2 weeks, but I love the products so much!

  • Great vid...I will def have to try this!

  • Girl I tried this and everything came out wonderful. Thank you so much for the info!

  • Would have been a better tutorial if it was live. Thanks for sharing though.

  • very cool

  • omg that is a good idea because i ahve soo much makeup and i always havea ahard time trying to find one of my specific hip palettes that would help soo much putting them all in one case....but at the same time some days i just need to bring one along and wouldnt have space for the whole case for what im doin also i like the mirror on the hip palette so i dont think i would do this unlesss i had doublded up on each eyeshadow palettes...

  • i'm gonna try this when i get some more duos

  • Thanks for sharing, that looks lovely.

I am thinking to make one too. Before to make it, I do have a couple question. Are the pan shadows stick to the Palette stably? Do you need to put something underneath to secure it? Thanks~

  • No the shadows don't fit securly. But if you use a magnetic sheet it will help. I had this now and travel with the palette and I've had no issues with the shadows falling out.

  • Thanks for the reply.

Where can I buy the magnetic sheet ?

  • You can find them at a Michael's, Hobby Lobby or any type craft store. They are $2 or $3. Hope that helps.

  • love this, best I have seen so far. thanks for doing this. take care.

  • I love this idea i have just about all of HIPS Duo collection like 26 out of 32 lol you just gave me a idea thanks for sharing gota go place my order now lol.......

  • i love the hip line tooooo!!!

  • me too. I depotted/paletted mine as well a little differently but it works for now until I find something else.

  • I depoted some awhile back just to try it out. Because i just dont see depotting them. But your way is the Best by far I have seen. There in a real Palette. Thanks for sharing

  • Thanks. Glad you stopped by to check out the vid. I had so many of these that it just got ridiculous and I wanted a more protective casing for them.

  • So true, I had the DVD case method..it was good only for a short while. I dropped the case and went an hour past crazy! Some of the duos shattered or cracked. This is easier, cleaner, looks 10x better!

  • I know mines was a mess. I just keep them potted now, but I may try this method it made better since this way

  • Stop by and let me know how I did. I hope this is right?

  • Girl you did you thing on the palettes. I love the bling you put on the outside.

  • FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!! and you make it seem so simple but judging from the outcome..its well worth it.

  • I'm can't even lie...it took some time to get this done. It took a little over 2 hours to depot 24 HIP duos, decorate the outside of the pallete, and label.

It was definitely worth it. I can grab 1 slim palette instead of 12 chunky-cased duos.

  • Thanks a lot. I love this idea!!! Merry Christmas, Diva.

  • very creative good stuff. I understand about the bulk. I depotted mine too but it doesn't look as good as yours...mind if I copy? LOL!

  • wow this is an awesome idea im starting to pick up a few more then what i have room for so this is an idea to try!!!

  • Thanks. Depotting all those little chunky HIP cases was the best thing I've done. It cleared up so much space for me. And its so much easier to locate a shadow.

  • I got the large well palettes.

  • i love this video. i have many hip eyeshadow duos and i always wanted to depot them but not in emty dvd cases. this is a great idea.

  • Thanks...after I got started I couldn't stop. The only thing about depotting the HIP duos is that L'Oreal uses sooo much glue its disgusting. You'll have to have something to wipe the excess glue on.

But other than that I'm really statisified with the outcome.

  • Awesome video and great ideal!!!

    Thanks for sharing!!

  • Thanks. I actually got the from another YouTuber...boylre. My first attempt at covering my 120 Pro Palette didn't go so well. But the finished look is pretty easy.

  • I love the video, i need to depot my eyeshadows, but where did you get the palette?

  • japonesque . com

  • Awesome, where did you find the palette?

  • Great Idea!!!!!

  • OMG!

    I have 9 of these!

    I wanna depot them but i'm scared..lol.

where did u get the palette from?

  • that was a good investment! whered u get the palletes? cuz it is a hassle in the mornings 4 me 2
