He does not sound like a tough grizzled old soldier but some kind of dandified Nancy boy, who spends wars at home and he is indubitably no sea-dog but the sort of pasty landlubber I have always despised. I'll warrant the most exciting thing that has happened to this limpid prawn in a whole year, was the day when he forgot to put sugar in his porridge!

@GreatGrumbledook actually this 'limpid prawn' has spent this year travelling around Europe collecting honorary degrees and awards for his achievements to crowds of avid supporters, he's written a book and had an Institute of Sociology created in his honour. He's been the lead speaker at the 'Rethinking Global Society Conference'.Just today he returns from Spain where he was given the Prince of Asturias award by the royal family for his contribution to Sociology. Pretty exciting. What about you?
