  • easily one of the best rock song ever.

  • perfection

  • I play skyrim to this song

  • Holy mother

  • Very well done editing. Part 1:10 to 1:21 is a gradual increase in volume and intensity of the piece. In music we call this a CRESCENDO. Besides the fact that TULL is AWESOME the way in which this was edited was perfect for effect. Cheers! thanks for sharing.

  • What can I say? Lord of the Rings and Jethro Tull!!!! AMAZING!

  • YES

  • Brilliant. Thank you.

I confess to wondering why scenes from Rohan weren't used to go with some of the lyrics. They would seem most appropriate.

  • Brilliant. Thank you.

  • Man Just got me the shivers when the Rohan showed up at the end lol

  • This is great, and its sad to see the hit count.

But us here understand and we thank you!

  • No other word but AWESOME!

  • My son loves this video, great mixture of Tull and LOTR!

  • The book says the black horses of the Nine Black Riders were from Rohan -- sometimes as tribute to keep Sauron away, sometimes just stolen. King Theoden should have been glad to help Gandalf. But he was under Saruman's influence. In the final analysis, Shadowfax didn't BELONG to anyone. The mearas, the intelligent horses, chose their riders, not the other way around.

  • Rawdealist, I'm reading LOTR for the second time, and Peter Jackson took many liberties. It would take five movies to include everything Tolkein described, but there are changes in who speaks a line of dialogue that, I think, change the heart of the scene. Yes, many of the Men and those of other races could not see Gandalf's grand purpose and quibbled over local matters. There's a great lesson there.

  • Good job man, awesome stuff.

  • THE MOVIE MENTIONED NOTHING OF SHADOWFAX THE KING OF HORSES AND THE GRUDGE HELD BE THE ROWEN KING TOWARDS GANDOLF FOR RIDING AWAY WITH HIM IN A PAST EVENT....

  • Pretty much how I envisiged this album would look if a film was made of it .. outstanding :)

  • Brilliant fushion....xx

  • Cool idea nicely done!

  • Amazing. Thanks...

  • Masterful editing! You should win an award. A PROFESSIONAL award. Guaranteed chills every time. Hi, LibertyTreeradio. Non illegitimi carborundum. You are not alone. Far from it. "How does one face such reckless evil?" "Ride out and meet it!"

  • This is beyond tight. It's been a while since I've watched it. Now that it's Autumn, I'm definitely in a Tull mood nowadays.

  • I... cannot describe how happy this just made me.

You have fused two of my all-time favorite things.

    Thank you... so much.

  • @TheWildMagic

Thank you to all the Tull fans and sons who have come to appreciate the otherwordliness that is Ian Andersen.

I have dreamed of adding video's to Tull's music, and it's so inspiring to see other people get "it". Beautiful symbiosis of music and art. I hope for many more interpretation's of Ian's songs in the future, as his arrangments didn't always sell the song [especially in the USA]....Wow

  • Absolutely wonderful!!

  • what movie is this?

  • LOTR = lord of the rings bro

  • oh thanks

  • Epic.

  • who gives a rats ass...hyphenated.

  • They say that Robin Hood himself gathered his merry men to form this very band...

  • Very well put together. The way the tempering of the sword matched the beat made it look like a real music clip.

If you did this video yourself, excellent work!

  • wholelotta, we steer from those like you. we gravitate away from the seahags.

  • Name-calling is really uncalled-for.

  • Hot DAMN this video is epic. Very good job choosing the clips to fit the song.

  • Where can men like that be found NOW?

    Love it!

  • Don't know but if you find them, call me immediately please

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, CSXer. Shut up.

  • Where now the horse and the rider?Where is the horn that was blowing?

Where is the helm and the hauberk,

And the bright hair flowing? ...

    They have passed like rain on the mountain, like a wind in the meadow;

The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into Shadow.

  • The Wanderer or the Seafarer, or Tolkein recalling his Anglo-Saxon epics?

  • "Two Towers", The Battle of Helm's Deep, Theoden recounting the days of old, and thinking on how times have changed.

Also, me recounting on the same.

  • Neat

  • that is so awsome.

  • Very nice video. Thank you. They REALLY should've hired Ian Anderson to be involved in the scoring of LOTR....if not all, at least some of it.

  • Agree!

  • I think Rare And Precious Chain would fit well too

    Well done....Gandalf....

  • this fits in incredibly well.

  • No, one of the others is "Life's a Long Song" and the other was likely going to be "Songs From the Wood"... but I might replace the latter with Joe Satriani's "Summer Song."
