  • I've been all over this country and I can honestly say I've never seen a more beautiful state than the one I was born and raised in. I have lived in Kentucky all my life (26yrs), attended UK (like there was any other option) and wouldn't have it any other way. Tennessee has those stupid Vols (but at least it's pretty), Alabama is flat as a pancake (at least what I've seen of it), Ohio is god-awful rude, Indiana, well, my Pa-Paw always said birds fly upside down over Indiana cuz there ain't noth

  • Devide KY in half from the from the horizontal area across and that devides the country from the city accents. And yes! We ALL whear shoes!

  • Really guys whats wrong with Kentucky! Its part of America too! Everyone saying "ive lived there and it sucked!" are lying! They probably dont even know where KY is! I live in Kentucky and only about 50% still have a country accent. Most of you dont even know where and what a "hill-billy" is! We dont pick on your states! Why do you pick on ours?

  • Wish I had been born in Kentucky .

  • I LOVED this video!!! I moved to NC 12 years ago today..but MISS MY OLE KENTUCKY HOME everyday!!! I was so happy to see so many of the places that I grew up near, or had visited. Thanks for an AWESOME view of our GREAT BLUEGRASS STATE...MY OLE KENTUCKY HOME!!! SO PROUD TO SAY THAT I AM A NATIVE!!!!!!!

  • Great video until all the UK Bullshit.

  • @MrTobytat2 ok first off uk is practically apart of us kentuckians (eccept for cardinal fans) so shat up youre probably just mad b/c our basketball team has won more games than yours.

  • AT 00:46 THAT USED TO BE MY CABIN!

  • born and raised in kentucky and never leavin my ever lovin holler. yes im hick yes i talk country yes i love 2 walk barefoot yes im hillbilly i CAN drive dirtbikes and fourweelers i can hunt and bait my own hook yall jus dont no wat ur missin kentucky is a very purty place they aint nothin like it in the fall im proud 2 b from martin county they aint alot people but buddy its my home and i aint never leavin u cant get this country girl outa the holler! <3

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, I was born and rasied in SE KY. I am currently on my way to college at UofL. The Cards and The UofK Cats hate each other to death, Today is their Football game. Even though We Kentuckians may hate each other because of our teams, When i go there every year, I see both cardinals and wildcats linked together swaying when we sing My Old Kentucky home, this brings tears to my eyes. I may be a Hick but goddamn it Im a Kentuckian and im proud to be 1!!

  • Not a native, but a UK grad and this always reminds me of why I came to Kentucky.

  • I've been all other this nation and have seen many of it's beautiful places. To me there is no place more jaw dropping than KY in the fall.

  • @RCTPatriot75 Try New Hampshire, it is rated #1 in the world for its foliage, by far the most beautiful state in the USA,

  • wrong fucking lyrics

  • @3:25 that is absolutely beautiful. Does anyone know where that view is from?

  • @hom859 Kingdom Come State Park in southeastern Ky

  • I can see the darkies picking cotton off in the distance, while the master of the house sits on the porch sipping lemonade. The good old days.

  • I am a redneck, I am a hick, i am a Hillbilly and im proud. Im a KENTUCKIAN and im proud of who and what i am

  • @jbwell24 Well, I am not a hick, I came to Kentucky because of its beauty and I bleed Kentucky blue, but I will be dammed if Kentucky remains an undereducated state.

  • @dro3838 So we can all become elitist ivy leaguers, like all those brilliant people in the Obama administration? They really gave academia a bad name. There are different intelligences, but any intelligence recognizes freedom when they see it.

  • Respond to this video... I am proud to have attended the University of Kentucky, but I expect my state to stand up and demonstrate a commitment to education

  • @jbwell24 nothing wrong with that, i live in Eastern Massachusetts with a bunch of rich stuck up, ignorant motherfuckers!

  • we are stationed in germany because my husband is in the army, hearing this song makes me so homesick. been to all kinds of places, but i wouldnt wanna live anywhere else- cannot wait to visit home

  • Just gorgeous!

  • 12 generations of Kentuckian in my blood, I get chills when I hear this played like this. United we Stand, Divided we Fall.

  • The Sun shines bright on my old Kentucky home, tis summer the people are gay

  • Hi.. Im from Singapore... I have travelled extensively throughout the US... Kentucky is the best place on earth! Truly the land of milk and honey... Where the grass is green... the skies blue and the ppl warm. AND the prettiest gals to add to that.. Go Kentucky! We love you and god bless kentuckians who were lucky to grow up in that blessed state!

  • I'm proud to be a Kentuckian. A Kentuckian that fits none of the common stereotypes against us. I may not be athletic or brave like my brothers, but my will, intellect, and proper grammar are just a few things that prove that we're not all rednecks. Rednecks can exist anywhere!

  • go kentucky born and raise on this soil and will never leave it eather

  • this day is a Kentucky to be a union usa

  • KENTUCKY FRIED CHICKEN WAIT FOR ME!!

  • i love kentucky and i am proud to live here!!! i just hate it though when people from other states like california call us all hicks and hillbillys! us kentuckians are not all like that! im not!!!

  • @RosesareAllie In all fairness, we stereotype them as plastic and stuck up. I think nearly every state has its "Stereotype". But it DOES seem we get picked on the most lol. Oh well, they just don't know what they're missing.

  • @OohcoolProductions yeah a while back some jerk commented on my channel saying that kentucky sucked omfg that made me soo made D:

  • I have watched the Derby since I was really a little kid. It is my favorite sports event cause it is over in 2 minutes. Next year Iam going! Nobody plays it better than UK. It truely is the most exciting 2 minutes in sports!

  • Why is it almost everyone from everywhere in the state of Kentucky hates Louisville? I noticed there were no pictures of Louisville anywhere in this montage. Are you forgetting the MAIN reason the rest of the world knows Kentucky exists is the Kentucky Derby? It is not called the Louisville Derby for a reason...suck it up people, Louisville is as much a part of Kentucky as Lexington, Hazard, Paducah, Bowling Green, and Monkeys Paw!

  • @riverexplorer your forgeting Frankfort and Covington

  • Im peed off... Ive waited 25 + years for a triple crown and uncle mo was gonna do it.... what a joke

  • Just wanted to say though that the scenery of Kentucky is absolutely gorgeous! I love the video for those things....the places I can remember hanging out as a child, the places I take my own children to now. Kentucky is beautiful and peaceful. I am very proud to be from Kentucky! Thanks for sharing the video

  • Video is great! I love the song and the scenery...but I do have one issue, University of Kentucky is NOT the only college with a sporting team in the state of Kentucky. What about Morehead (they made it to the playoffs), what about Bellarmine (who won their championship), what about Louisville Cardinals (just as popular as UK Wildcats), what about WKU??? I just feel like if we don't show ALL the sports that Kentucky has to offer, we shouldn't show any. Just my opinion!

  • @Maryreb617 ... because people just tend to be UK fans, they are better (usually) than louisville and, if youre from kentucky you can be a fan of the university of KENTUCKY, me being from lexington, it would be hard to be a Louisville fan because Im not from there. And not to mention they are rivals... That is why people take sides.

  • I would love to live in quaint Kentucky countryside. Nature is close to God and the verdant beauty of the landcsape is worth watching and exhilerating. The rejuvenating colours of spring and fall mesh up with the soul to lighten the burdens of life. The poignant poem written by Stephen Foster is a true reflection of the kentucky countryside and folk lore.

  • I always felt someone from Kentucky should sing this song at the Derby. Not just a famous artist that has no relationship to our state and the grand tradition it's most famous for.

  • @JustAnotherGirlInLuv Seriously. I don't know what it is, but this song doesn't have nearly as much meaning if you aren't from here.

  • I plan to travel the world when I get older. But no matter where I go, Kentucky will always be my home!

  • Love My Kentucky Home !

  • My home, sweet home, will always be in Kentucky. The bluegrass state! <3

  • i love derby week

  • I was born and raised in one of the best states in the south, I am Kentuckian, where the horse run free and the best of them run in the big race every year called "Kentucky Derby". Although we arnt all about that either we offer our football team, as well as basketball team is the best in the nation to us in the Bluegrass State. Watching this makes me Proud to be what I am !!!

  • @Blackwolf10376 ~ me too!

  • ITS DERBY WEEK!!! YAY! Yall need to make the derby at least once.

  • @NinerPoolGirl

I went to the Oaks race a few years ago... I plan on going sometime in the near future, though. Maybe next year before I leave for bootcamp.

  • 1:11 gets me every time.

  • Go ALL IN on Ucle MO in the Derby!

  • @kovertkomrade BIG FAT SCRATCH

  • BEAUTIFUL MUSIC...Thanks dear T.J.for sending:-)

  • i miss kentucky i wish my parents never made me move to south carolina i miss my family, thunder over louisville, kentucky derbies, all my friends,my old church, and most o all i miss the smell of the fresh air down there

  • I am proud to be a Kentuckian!

  • My girlfriend is a proud ky girl she always tells me but she moved away to be with me but we visit and i love it there maybe we will move there some day

  • Kentucky's culture is so much richer than the other states give us credit for.

  • er why is kty a commonwealth thought that was a british thing

  • @eyedog1948a nope The Commonwealth of Nations is the "British Commonwealth" a Commonwealth is just a traditional English term for a political community founded for the common good. Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts are all Commonwealth aswell

  • 5 people r from ohio and they suck (not in college basketball)

  • Such a beautiful song and thank you Stephen Foster. I've lived away from Ky for 40 years, but everytime I hear this song, tears come to my eyes. I will always be a Kentuckian at heart!

  • Man, I love my state... My old Kentucky home.(:

  • Honestly, I can't listen to this song without tearing up.

  • I <3 Kentucky.

  • i live in ohio but my parents were raised out side frankfort and i love kentcuky.. this song means so much to me

  • GREETING FROM LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY! :P Yes, I live in Kentucky, born and being raised here, I'm 14 and have lived here all my life! Gets boring after a while though.

  • I was born in kentucky i have been here my whole life so far and if i ever have to move some place else i will miss the summer, winter, spring, a beutiful country side. But with that said there are many great states in the U.S. to visit and enjoy.

But Kentucky will always be special to me.

  • @rosycheeks87 i know exactlly what ur saying. i live in Ky too and this kid from new york moved to my town and he said that everyone in new york thinks that we walk around with no shoes, missing teeth, wearing over all and drive tractors to school. haha i agree about the part where we talk like hicks tho. some of us arent so bad tho. but i love KY, born in Ft knox...

  • i love Kentucky, i was born there

  • hey guys, why is it called the commonwaelth of Kentucky, not like the British common wealth?

  • I'm Kentucky born, Kentucky Bred, and one day I will be Kentucky Dead. Praise God for My Old Kentucky Home. I was born on Oct. 17th. 1943 In Louisville, KY.

  • I love this song, i dont live in Ky any more, i wish i did because i miss my friends and the moutians, every beautiful(spelling?) i LOVE horses to and i really wish i was back in Ky its a really good state better then where i live. my mom and little sister were born in Ky and they are Kentucky daughters i was born in the south but i was also raised in Ky im sorta a Ky daughter to, i love visiting my friends and family in Ky :)

  • What a special video!!! You could never make me leave my home KENTUCKY!!

  • Born in Kentucky and raised across the world with my Dad being in the Army. One thing always rang true and even more so as I get older..No matter where I have to live for work, KENTUCKY will always be HOME!Some will never understand but My Old Kentucky Home (song and the Bluegrass herself) has a pull on your soul others will never understand. Thanks for posting this!

  • Wow. Such a beautiful display of a beautiful state. I was born and raised in Kentucky, and will die here. There is and never will be a home like Kentucky.

  • I might be a city boy from louisville with barely a smidgeon of a accent but I'm still proud to be from kentucky

  • @hubuly I'm right there with you.

  • Kentucky is the most depressing state I've ever lived in, and every stereotype you hear about it, it's true. If you're from a big city and you move to a small town in Kentucky, they will make it CLEAR you are NOT welcome. It's a black hole, and once you move there it seems impossible to get out. I could have had a better life, if I hadn't been forced to move.

  • @AeriyaEvilEyes: I am sad for you that you detest the state so much. I'm not from the state originally, but you are wrong. Open you eyes and your heart and Kentuckians are the warmest people you will ever meet. It doesn't happen overnight, it's true, but then again Kentuckians aren't suger coated southerners (thank you for that). Unlike you, I feel the Commonwealth is one of the best states I have ever lived in

  • @dro3838 I've been here for 9 years, in my experience the people here are not very warm or welcoming. Especially if someone is different, having an opposing view that came from ones own decision, rather than sticking to what their family believes. I'm just simply giving you my experience, which may be vastly different from others.

  • @AeriyaEvilEyes: Actually, I do understand what you are saying (very much more than you might think). And I can appreciate your feeling that the state is not welcoming, although I think it is, but not in all regards. I would give you my e-mail to elaborate, but I don't want to put it on the world wide web.

  • @AeriyaEvilEyes not really lived here my whole life and pretty much everyone i know like to wears shoes were very open to ideas and we believe in welcoming people with open hearts and minds.....ok maybe i dont wears shoes alot but i do out in publc cause if i didnt i would get weird looks but besides that we r normal

  • Beautiful! I love my Commonwealth. I've lived here since birth and would rather live here than any place else. I am truly Kentucky proud!

  • I will live and i will die here in Paducah, Kentucky.

  • Dear Kentucky, how I miss you so...

  • I love being a proud Kentuckian

  • I moved to Kentucky from New Jersey 36 years ago and to me Kentucky is heaven

    on earth. I love it!

  • i was born in kentucky,i live in Kentucky, i hope to have a familie in Kentucky and i hope to die in Kentucky.

  • I love Kentucky :) So proud to live here too. So beautiful, so traditional, who couldn't love it?

  • HRH QE2 Likes your Derby, so it must be good...

  • My old Kentucky Home....brings tears to my eyes each time I hear it...I rank it equally with Beautiful Ohio, and Back Home Again in Indiana. Stephen Foster would be proud to hear it still played and sung with such dignity. Go 'Cats!

  • Texan here I am proud to be Texan but, I will admit Kentucky is a nice state and I do like this song.

  • Home....Sweet Home ! You can feel history in the air when you travel The Commonwealth. One of the most beautiful places on earth, except for The City Of Louisville, the people are friendly and always make you feel welcome. I'm proud to be a Kentuckian. Louisville leaves a lot to be desired though. Politicians have messed up Louisville.

  • Long live our Commonwealth!

  • Born in Murray, I hope the I am bestowed the honor of dying in my old Kentucky home.

  • I'm living in Scotland now but can't wait to come home to Kentucky! It looks so similar to the UK...only more beautiful:) The people are nicer than anywhere. I've missed it.

  • I Love it, It's Perfect : )

  • When they sing My Old Kentucky Home at the Derby, it says it all

  • idk bout the rest of yall but this song brings a tear to my eye everytime i hear it

  • Talk about pride For The Big Blue

  • home in kentucky i love

  • I salute to my home in Lexington KY although they think were hillbilly i respect my home A song of a slave being sold down a river what a beauty to bad its not USA's anthem

  • Derby Rulez I live IN KY Lexington

  • Beautiful state! What a truly beautiful video! Would love to visit there sometime.

  • I am Mexican from Ciudad Juarez, CHI MEX but this song makes more proud then any song I know. The history of the Derby the excitment and the legacy of the Derby makes the First Saturday in May a day that is design to make you think and see that life as a porpuse. Only 20 horses will make it to the gate but only one will become inmortal.

  • From 2002-2006 when I was on the Executive Board for the Race Track Chaplaincy of America, we spent so much time in Kentucky, I thought of Kentucky as my home, and LOVED every moment of being their. Being selfish the one thing I truly miss, Kentucky Hot Browns. I also was given the opportunity to work the Breeders' Cup in 1998, everyone said fly, it is to far to drive from Grand Prairie Texas, so I drove, what a Blessing.

  • I miss my grandparents and my childhood days on their farm! Tears, tears!

  • No place like it in the world!!!!!!! Not even Tryon or Aachen can compare. Love your eventing site as well.

  • No better feeling than being in commonwealth stadium singing this with all the Big Blue fans!!! GO CATS!!!

  • Great Video! I can't wait until the Kentucky Derby & hear everyone sing this wonderful song. Thank God for the Beautiful Horses & My Old Kentucky Home :)

  • this video makes me proud to be a kentuckian

  • Just beautiful, thanks! --The Great American Dollhouse Museum, Danville

  • We will miss u mr wildcat!!!

  • I am a horseman and this video is beautiful---copenhusker: it doesn't matter if KY offers more than Thoroughbreds or not. Even if it ONLY offers T'breds, that's enough.

Any horseman who tells you that the Derby doesn't matter to him is lying. It is the be all and end all of what I do.

    Thank you for the video!

  • I agree the Derby is THE race and every horseman dreams of winning it. It truly is The Greatest Two Minutes in Sports. I just meant that Kentucky appears to have a lot more going for it than just horses.

  • Point taken copen...of corse, no pun intended,as the 2001 Horse of the Year was Point Given LOL

  • Point Given was a monster, both literally (something like 17.5 hands high) & figuratively (he was the HOTY). But in the Derby that year, I bet on a colt named Monarchos and you know what happened that day!

  • Yup....the first sub 2 minute Derby since Secretariat (and noone has done it since).

I never got to see Pt. Giv but my barn was right next to Baffert's so his plaques are up on the walls outside LOL

  • @copenhusker13 I'm a HUGE football fan , and i must say that The Derby is by far the best 2 min of sports (even better than the last 2 min of the super bowl) Even though I'm an Indiana hoosier by birth, my veins have Kentucky Bluegrass running thru me thanx 2 my gma.

  • I am a proud Nebraskan, born & bred. I bleed Cornhusker red. I have family ties to Arkansas (Go Hogs) & Kansas (blah!), but if there is one state I long for (having never been there) it is Kentucky, just based on history and tradition (plus, I'm an avid horse racing fan). But, KY has a lot more to offer than thoroughbreds.

  • @copenhusker13 Great comment Husker, thanks for appreciating Ky! Horse Capital of the World, and proud of it. :)

  • Amen bro

  • @copenhusker13 hey you know what the N on your teams helmets stand for. their "noledge"

  • @copenhusker13

Yes we have more to offer like Bourbon, coal and a very large baseball bat.

  • @copenhusker13 I am a Nebraskan too. But I live in Louisville, KY now. Go RED!!! I remember when we AKSARBEN. Most people didn't know (visitors) that it spelled Nebraska backwards. The track is no longer there instead apts. and stores. I will always love my Nebraska no matter how cold the winters are. The people are friendly and even though it's flat my heart will always be there. KY is beautiful too and I love to see the horses. MY favorite are the black stallions. . Go UNL!!!!

  • @copenhusker13 I am originally from Omaha, NE. I bleed red too especially on game day when we play at UNL and all you see is a stadium of red. I am fortunate enough to live in Louisville, KY because this is where my husband's job is. Let me tell you must come to Kentucky if nothing else come for the Kentucky derby you won't be sorry. It's held at churchill downs. Plane tickets aren't really that expensive anymore. And yes Kentucky has a lot to offer. Please visit us soon.

  • Did you really have to play the song twice? Do you like making people cry more? lol nice pictures, I miss ky

  • You know, I'm 51. I've lived in Kentucky my entire life. I am not purposely denigrating any sentiments expressed here.

But this state is bordered by seven others. I find it hard to believe that by taking one step and crossing an imaginary line, that suddenly I am in some better place.

What is the difference between southeastern Missouri and southwestern Kentucky? Where I live, what is the difference between Cincinnati and Covington?

I mean the people are the same. & the enviroment.

  • Not a native, just a UK grad. I am touched by the connection Kyians have always had with Ky and the hold Ky has on past and current residents. It has that effect on me, and I find myself defending and promoting this state everywhere I can. Maybe it is natural beauty from East-West, or tremendous development at UofL and UK, but I for one believe this is one of the great states that the sun is just beginning to shine on

  • Your right to a degree jrw661. All the people in the states are Americans and we all share some similarities. Some things in KY that we are uniquely known for are the horse racing, bourbon, and sports like UK basketball which many Kentuckians are so proud of. Talking about the NKY/Cincy area (currently live here), I have noticed that the Ohio River is a pretty solid border that separates the UK fans from the UC/Ohio State fans. I rarely see people wear UC stuff just south of the river.

  • @bthudium32 I know. I live in a small town next to Covington. And I rarely see UC or OS merch.

  • The Ohio River?

  • @jrw661 I live right next to Covington. Nothing is different throughout Ky. Just different history but it's all the same. Beautiful.

  • I'm not from Kentucky. I've never been to Kentucky. I don't even know much about Kentucky. What I do know, is that I listen to this (knowing the lyrics) and seeing these pictures, my eyes are welling up with tears.

Wow. Great stuff. Thanks for posting.

  • @LazlosPlane

Thanks for your comment... this song is so special to those of us from Kentucky and it's hard for us to describe that feeling as well as you just did. MOKH is more than a state salue...it's a love song to a place, a home, a way of life and the people you know. :)

  • @EventerAJ This is a melancholy song, seems like it should be a university's alma mater, you know how university's alma mater's sound, great song, nontheless.

  • @EventerAJ

I am a Dutchman, never having been across the Atlantic, so not in the States, let alone in Kentucky. But listening to this great music I feel my eyes anbd my throat, like I want to cry.

  • @Christo47734 Be sure to come to Kentucky sometime. You'll be accepted like a sibling.

  • @LazlosPlane Thank you for those lovely comments. I hope you can come to Kentucky some day. I think you'll like it. I can't imagine living anywhere else. I know everyone loves their home state. But, I'm blessed to be a Kentuckian. This song makes me cry no matter when I hear it. I think it's the most beautiful state song of all.

There's such a beautiful sadness to it. It has my heart totally. I'm glad it touches yours. You're an honorary Kentuckian!! You don't have to be here for that.

  • @LazlosPlane I live in Louisville, KY and Kentucky is very popular for breeding horses. There is a place called Calmulet where they breed these horses. And as you know Kentucky is very famous for the Kentucky Derby which takes place on the first Saturday in May. Kentucky is made up of green grass in the summer and rolling hills. Autumns are orange, red, yellow and gold. Calmulet is close to Lexington KY. I was recently visiting an Uncle and a Cousin who are both ex-jockeys.

  • @LazlosPlane Yeah, this song is so racist the state legislature waited until 1986 to revise the lyrics and substitute "people" for "darkies". Sure does bring a tear to one's eye!

  • excellent

  • The most beautiful state anthem befits the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

  • I live 40 miles south of lexington in a small town where neighbors still borrow things from one another and help each other and ask for nothing in return. I work out of state, and i do get home sick, some folks from out of state have moved here just because its beautiful and humble and quiet, where no one locks there doors and every one is welcome at any time.

  • Undoubtably the most beautiful video on youtube.

  • My favorite song ever. This is beautiful. I love this song, and Kentucky with all of my heart. :)

  • I live only 10 miles from where my family bought land in 1790, two years before Kentucky became a state. I've been alot of places, got a few more to go, but Kentucky will always be my home. Is it just me or do you feel better about crossing back across the state line after a long trip. I've always said "if I die now, at least I'm home". In my younger days I would say "if I get put in jail now, at least I'll be amongst people that talk like I do". That was one beautiful vid, Thanks.

  • You are so right about crossing that state line... no matter how tired I am after a long trip, crossing the border gives me a second wind. The air just seems fresher, the grass greener (bluer!), the world seems a better place.

  • I couldn't agree more. I love our Welcome To Kentucky signs. They put a smile on my face all the time. God! I love Kentucky.

  • I think I know how you feel. My great-grandpa and 40 of his Smith family relatives sold their land in Kentucky after the Civil War and moved to KS. where they bought land and farmed My aunt told me the lot of them were uneducated and were moon-shiners. I don't know if this is true. So Kentucky has a dear place in my heart. I came there once for 20 mins. and it made me cry to finally be there. I plan to go back. They were also early settlers from 1820's So glad for you to be HOME!

  • @TheBeersCold

My whole family is leaving Illinois soon to live in Kentucky. Your state respects the right to liberty more than mine. Kentucky has a lot to be proud of.

  • Welcome, come on in and take your coat off and stay awhile. In the spring we can watch the dogwood and the redbud trees bloom. And if we're lucky we'll see the baby deer play in the fields. As for now we can wait on the next snow and keep an eye out for the redbirds (cardinals) at the feeders. Smell a little hickory burn in someones fireplace. My Kentucky will be your Kentucky. Welcome, come on in and stay awhile.

  • dang! u guys life in the us!!!

    i wanna go there too!!!

  • this song is sung a t the Kentucky derby

  • well done beautiful compilation of this great song

  • I live at the foot of the Gap in the city of Middlesboro. Beautiful place and proud to call Bell County and Kentucky my home!

  • We will sing one song for my old Kentucky home...

  • one of the most beautifull songs ever written....and by a slave no less! just awesome....

  • Wtf.

Stephen Foster was not a slave!

  • Foster only ...and get this...Published it.....he didnt write it....he only Published it ...and even reports of his ever being in Kentucky are sketchy at best! I even remember Jim McKay of ABC Sports....saying it was written by a former slave.....so WFT back pal.......go see Wikipedia !!

  • Wikipedia is the most unreliable source you will ever find.

  • so they trump up stuff like Fox(fixed ) news?? LOL ......you dont think a respected announcer like Jim McKay of ABC Sports....and an avid sports Historian...would get that fact wrong....would you??? unless you follow Fixed news LOL!!!! it was written by a slave....and Published...by Foster.

    hereth endth the lesson..

  • I don't listen to fox or any news station for that matter. What is said on a news station is not usually correct.

And what is with your fetish of.....periods?...
