  • This is exactly what modern day looks like. I don't see anything wrong with these predictions. robots make my bed and clean my dishes, and i have 2 houses on Jupiter. these kids are brilliant.

  • Kids now would draw the same things. We always expect robots and flying cars but they never come.

  • the robot stuff is pretty much right but the space stuff we are not even close to tho there are ways for your average joe to go into splace tho you have to pay a arm and a leg

  • robot teachers? omg... they are right!

  • The kids in the late 80's been watching too many Jetsons cartoons lol

btw I was a year old in 1985 and now 27. And I don't see any robots lol

  • I want to be in a >SPACE BAR< drinking a cold beer, looking down at the earth.

  • @kctheiler

    Cheers!

  • This administration has decimated NASA. The kids these days probably don't even know what an astronaut or that we have a space program! What are they being taught today: "green energy", veganism, cultural diversity... The cafeterias don't even let a kid eat a turkey sandwich and potato chips anymore, because the government deems those foods "unhealthy". Wake up, America! You're losing your country!

  • @droid4D How could you say in nearly 1000 years we will be gas free after what mankind has overcome in 100 years?

  • I want to live on the moon and watch tv too...

  • As I recall, 'The Jetsons' was pretty big at the time so no doubt that influenced the kid's imaginations a lot.

  • Not robot teachers, but fat as hell teachers more like it lol.

  • I don't think will see any futuristic flying cars that we can afford I say in the year 3000 will be gas free

  • to the comment below mine:

why do you have to capitalize every world?

  • I Lived In Minot North Dakota My Whole Life And I Love This City So Much I Was Born In This City On August 31 1984 At St Josephs Hospital. Love To See The KMOT And KUMV IDs The Ones Where The Song Looking Out For You Ones From The Late 1980s And Early 1990s Please Upload Them On Youtube Please! I Love That OK.

  • The kids predicted "The Jetsons" cartoon

  • I would have drawn a nuclear wasteland...

  • ok the girl in 1:30 is probably the only one that didn't think beyond what 15 years of time can bring smart girl

  • dam now i cant wait till the year 2000

  • @xxxxd1516 it aready happened..?

  • I now live on the moon and watch TV - Michael

  • They would have been right if they drew boys with jeans on that are tighter than their girlfriend's. Oh, and people wearing blankets with sleeves.

  • They must have made this after astronomy class.

  • In the year 2000 I lost my teaching job to a robot but now i make a good living digging up shark teeth on a mountain

  • I'm going to fucking work in about 20 minutes in my POS automobile with wheels to my human boss and human co-workers only to work a human job as we have been for many years, even since 1985... So no kids, it's not happening.

  • Digging for shark teeth on the mountain... I lol'd so hard.

  • People had stupid expectations, how could they believe in 15 years people would be living in OTHER PLANETS with fucking ROBOTS?

  • @ricarleite

    They're 2nd graders...

  • I dont think golf on the moon would work.

  • @honki3MAN I say so.

  • YOU CAN'T LIVE ON A GAS GIANT, STUPID!

  • @eternalgracenote BUT IN 15 YEARS ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!

  • there all such great artists :p

  • I'm 30 and still disappointed.

  • Stupid kids and their stupid imaginations, lol!

  • Who ever drew this and watching this right now. They might either cry out of nostalgic or laugh the heck out of their brain @@

  • ok well it's 2012 and so far all we have is backwards robs and non stick frying pans

  • @shane5530 WE HAVE PARTICLE ACCELERATORS

  • I'll give us abot ahh 120 or so years before moonbases actually have some of the things these kids have in mind

  • When you seriously stop and think about it tough, this was really stupid thinking on everybody's part. 15 years is not a very long time to develop all of these flying cars and robotic android teachers. How would traffic in the sky even be regulated? You couldn't possibly have everybody flying in the sky, there would be crashes everywhere.

  • What can we expect by the turn of the century........BULLSHIT!

  • No one mentioned the iphone?????????????????????

  • We took an arrow to the knee.

  • No Shit! thats where my dad went!

  • Okay, i'm going to take my spaceship to the Moon so I can dig for shark teeth...

  • bull shit "prediction"....

  • 2011 and we still live on earth and robots takes our jobs

  • We have deliberately been kept in the past.

  • We can do so many things but we're just interested in profits so we perpetuate products that gives us that profit.

  • Swing and a miss

  • MY TEACHERS ARE FUCKING ROBOTS?!

  • Now those kids are in their 30s and in dead end jobs. If they can find jobs at all anymore. When I consider what kind of world we could have made for ourselves by now I can't help but think we took a wrong turn somewhere. :(

  • The biggest thing that went wrong is corporate greed and incompetent leadership.

If all the money the US government squandered on stupid and pointless things like the war on drugs and the wars in the middle east was instead spent on space exploration there may have been cities on the moon by now.

As for the flying car the primary thing holding it back now is red tape because the FAA is stuck in the 1970s.

  • @Arikiel

It's because only one kid in the class wanted to do a normal job.

how many people do you know that desire to do a real (useful) job.

of the roughly 500 I know there is only 1

    he's a bee-keeper in France.

most other people I know think making sandwiches in a deli constitutes food production.

in a class of +/- 20 kids 1 of them wants to be a farmer and 19 of them want a none productive job.

it needs to be the other way around.

  • @Arikiel 1913, my friend.

  • @Arikiel Were we went wrong was 911

  • @Arikiel

Well that's uplifting... thanks a lot.

  • Lmao

  • I ONLY agree with the last one is true.

  • Now they are sure, it not outaspace yet, it all modern and 9/11, they have gone too far.

  • robot teachers??? well there will be robot bar workers.....hahha yeah robots making my bed yeah i wish..... no we still live on earth....

  • people thought we would have flying cars....

all we got are crappy electrics

  • @raffyownage well, in america they have made a few but there's no use selling them cos health and safety will just ban them

  • haha dont think so

  • yeah.... sure

  • someone watches too much Jetisons.

  • These are little children we're talking about. Predictions are based on imagination, rather than fact. And you must see things from the view of something back in that era, rather than from the future. They couldn't know any of this wouldn't happen.

  • Stupid kids it didn't really happened in 2000

  • 5 people in a little room...must have been Mexican kid.

  • @jackmarshak Ha ha ha ha...Funny! Im Mexican and find it funny!

  • They were right about the robot teachers brainwashed by the liberal teachers unions.

  • I remember in 1st grade they gave us those Scholastic News things and one said in 2000 we would live in Glass Bubbles ride in spaceships and live on the moon LOL Same thing none of which happened!

  • stupid kids

  • They expected a lot to happen in 15 years, but then again these are just little kids.

  • well i can tell those two chevettes in the back didn't likely last to the year 2000.

  • Rhonda Glover's view was the most accurate.

  • ...yep, poeple sure live today on other planets, only instead of space ships they get there on acid

  • yeah , this isn't ANYWHERE near what they thought. Where the freak is my robot teacher?

  • by now my homework should do its self. its not.

  • @jimmytom5420 wikipedia?

  • I want my space ship!

  • RHONDA GLOVER???

  • If I had been asked to draw the year 2000 back then I would have drawn cities whiped flat from nuclear weapons

  • the last one is the most accurate one smart kid

  • Ha Ha That's awesome i remember having to do that in elementary school (which wasn't really that long ago really) kinda fun seeing minot in the 80s
