Both of you are missing the point...What happens when you die on WoW? NOTHING... I have a lvl 70 on WoW.. A warlock.. And more then once ive ran into a alliance city with full intention of getting myself killed..The fact that a single death can potentially set you back MONTHS.. makes EVE alot more hardcore then WoW could ever be...There are no risks on WoW... None at all...
but also there are some EVE players that can't handle the play style of WoW so it's very difficult to debate which game should be considered better for whatever reason as the only thing they share is that they are both online games. two completely different games, and two completely different styles of gamers who play them.
you still have the same basic roles, the same presence being in the game longer brings, you still have deadspace which is pretty much an instance, basicly its a choice between faster end game, or slowly building up to it. that and the fact that almost everyone grew up with warcraft swings it that way,just because it comes across as simple does not make a game a difficult thing to master. noobs are everywhere, but so are players who would just own at anything they played long enough.

Eve is a far better game than WoW could dream of being.
