The preacher said that GOD took the sister....and i wanted to jump up and rebuke him. I get tired of people blaming everything on GOD. This lady killed herself through a bad diet. Her own daughter told me 3 weeks later that her doctor warned her so many times to change her diet and start walking and she refused. No more excuses.

Couture, she's probably not aware she's standing out. That's why you have to have sound check before doing these kind of things, and the audio people, should bring that mic down and others up to get the full sound of that section. It's a balancing act. lllewis6 and couturesixfour, i was there that night singing in the soprano section. not sure which one of us it was, But it was VERY LOUD that night. the sops were on the end with the instruments. we had monitors but couldn't hear anything including the person next to you and ricky kept asking us to step up to the mic because he couldn't hear us either. you're right, the sound tech should have figured out who it was and turned them down.
She spoke a sermon in this song!! The choir needed to keep up the momemtumn with her instead of waiting for the song to end. I feel the spirit from the lead and the musicians and Ricky Dillard but ya'll had a but of spectators in the congregation, probably whipped and convicted by the leads spirit telling about themselves.

It is a known fact that we suffer from high blood pressure,and diabetes the worst of all races and it is due to over eating and eating unhealthy foods. I don't think that it is God's will for us. I know there are some ppl who are big genetically,and even they must be wise with their diets. The body of Christ should not be sickly because Satan would love that.

First of all you need to keep what i said in it's proper context,because i never judged anybody. Please learn what a judgement is before you accuse ppl of that just because they spoke the truth. There is no way you can convince any person with common sense it is God's will to see somebody big fat and unhealthy. People are dying from over eating and all the health issues it brings on their bodies. Grow up !
Help me to understand why it is in the Black Church across the nation you see so many obese ppl? Is it GOD's will for us to be unhealthy? People in the church will eat anything and yet say they have the Holy Spirit. It seems to me that we should be healthy, not fat and sickly,because nobody can convince me that is GOD's will for ppl. Some times we create a medical condition because of our diets and Black ppl eat things that really are not made for human consumption i.e., a pigs intestines.
Not all obese ppl are "unhealthy". As for ppl in the church, not all ppl in the church have the Holy Ghost. You shouldnt need convincing of anything. One thing we failed to realize is some of the medical problems we have were brought on before we came to Christ - things we did/ate/consumed. so lets try not to #1, make it a "black thang" and #2, assume everybody has the holy ghost and #3 attempt not to be judgemental.

I know blkjew01 & destr8truth are right. We do not take care of ourselves. The information is out there for us to change our diet. Walking is exercise, smaller plate of food, eat big breakfast small dinner. Shouting is good exercise-play this song. We do need to do better with our health.

Now this power is not babbling and yelling but rather as Romans 8 explains the power to fulfil the righteous requirments found in Torah. Couture, she's probably not aware she's standing out. That's why you have to have sound check before doing these kind of things, and the audio people, should bring that mic down and others up to get the full sound of that section. It's a balancing act. Plus the adrenalin is going and she's SANGING.. I say this, because I personally have a blend problem, and prefer standing away from microphone on the back row.

lllewis6 and couturesixfour, i was there that night singing in the soprano section. not sure which one of us it was, But it was VERY LOUD that night. the sops were on the end with the instruments. we had monitors but couldn't hear anything including the person next to you and ricky kept asking us to step up to the mic because he couldn't hear us either. you're right, the sound tech should have figured out who it was and turned them down.

I feel the spirit from the lead and the musicians and Ricky Dillard but ya'll had a but of spectators in the congregation, probably whipped and convicted by the leads spirit telling about themselves.

I agree with DaStr8Truth,he really is on point. A lot of the illnesses in the Black Community in particular are brought by bad diets. It is a known fact that we suffer from high blood pressure,and diabetes the worst of all races and it is due to over eating and eating unhealthy foods. I don't think that it is God's will for us. I know there are some ppl who are big genetically,and even they must be wise with their diets. The body of Christ should not be sickly because Satan would love that.

Do you have any idea just how ignorant you are. You said it is usually the bigger ppl who can sing. So in your twisted mind it is ok to be big fat and unhealthy as long as you can sing? Someone dies from diabetes due to weight problems and a bad diet and all you can say at their funeral is they could surely sing....lol ! Help me to understand why it is in the Black Church across the nation you see so many obese ppl? Is it GOD's will for us to be unhealthy? People in the church will eat anything and yet say they have the Holy Spirit. It seems to me that we should be healthy, not fat and sickly,because nobody can convince me that is GOD's will for ppl. Some times we create a medical condition because of our diets and Black ppl eat things that really are not made for human consumption i.e., a pigs intestines.

Not all obese ppl are "unhealthy". As for ppl in the church, not all ppl in the church have the Holy Ghost. You shouldnt need convincing of anything. One thing we failed to realize is some of the medical problems we have were brought on before we came to Christ - things we did/ate/consumed. so lets try not to #1, make it a "black thang" and #2, assume everybody has the holy ghost and #3 attempt not to be judgemental.

She goes to a COGIC church but still holds to Apostolic doctrine....I'd be here all day telling you of all the COGIC folks and pastors I know that have been baptized and do baptize in Jesus' name.

peter baptized in jesus name after the crucifixion...it's in acts somewhere cause i read it for myself,but at the end of the day,apostolic,baptist,pentecostal are just titles,all christians should come together and spread the gospel of JESUS CHRIST....and um still cogic,lol...i'll join any church thats lifting up the name of jesus and shouting and praising God,anything dead needs to be buried

You do not believe in the inerrancy of scripture?. So if it only once in it says be baptized in the father and son and the holy ghost yet Paul says in Jesus name you're saying that Jesus was wrong. Jesus says be baptized in the father, son, and the holy ghost and Paul does not contradict with this. He says no other name under heaven can save us. Thats what he was saying. When you are being baptized in the Father, Son and the holy ghost you are still being baptized in Jesus name.
