  • I have always heard the term 'once saved always saved' do I belive this? I do not. We must strive to do God's will for our lives. Jesus said: If you love me you will obey my commandments. For by grace are ye saved thru faith, but not of ourselves, it is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast. I know of someone who was saved as a child, he now believes in evolution and is a professed athiest. Is he still saved? I think not. Please repent and turn back to God!

  • what a sick bastard

  • So I have to ask...was Jesus more interested in filling a church and having a big budget or was he more interested in making disciples who would die for their faith. Indeed, Christians must view their faith as the man who found the great pearl and treasured it. Everything has been watered down in the past few centuries, from the preaching, to the Bible we use (NIV). There is a lot missing in most churches, because many Christians are not living blood bought, Spirit led lives.

  • Great example of how an American "fast food" conveyor belt style of quantity over quality evangelism has produced so called "Christians" who seem to bring dishonor to this most holy faith. I love my Baptist brothers in the faith, but the fruit of this message is nothing other than shallow, carnal Christian who cheapen the true value of grace.

  • Thank you so much for this. We must REALLY PRAY HARD for our generation of believers, dear friend. People are mis-interpreting the Bible. God Bless you mightily!

  • Salvation is indeed by grace through faith in Christ alone. It is not dependent on our works, however ... whoever does not produce good fruit as a natural result of their faith makes it evident that they do not have faith.

It's called the doctrine of regeneration, He who began a good work in you ...

1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

As a natural result of new life such a spirit of murder should be removed.

  • I disagree.

Show me scripture where it says, "grace through faith in Christ ALONE. It is not dependent on our works" James 2:24 speaks opposite. Scripture will not contradict itself. Read all of James 2 and ask where that fits in w/ your beliefs.

Also the 'doctrine of regeneration'... it's a man-made GOSPEL. Show me that in scripture. Philippians 1:6 says that "He will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." not "finish the work in you."

  • I tell you the truth, 1 John 3:15 is absolutely TRUE. If you hate your brother and do not repent of that sin, guess what? Yep, no eternal life for you! Many believers of the eternal security false gospel hold fast to this, but it still condemns them.

Jesus Christ is coming back for a spotless, blameless church, one w/o spot or wrinkle (many verses). If you are not living in Holiness I would doubt your salvation... and your eternal life. Hebrews 12:14

  • One last thing to consider. King David was saved... and then he committed adultery and murder. Later we find that he pleads to the Lord not to take the Holy Spirit from him (w/o the Holy Spirit in you, you are not saved). Psalm 51:11

Sorry bro, but you can lose your salvation. The Holy Spirit can leave you and you can become a desolate temple.

  • I lost my salvation eight years ago and I can truly tell you that a fallen believer will have hell here and now while still alive on Earth. Hebrews 12:15-17 is what happens when a backslider becomes a reprobate. 1John 5:16-17.

  • rep5281:

Are you absolutely sure you were saved to begin with?

"And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me." (Matt. 10:38).

"No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62).

"They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us." (1. John 2:19).

  • Yes, I agree. But you have to look at the fruit of this lame teaching that goes something like this..."say this prayer with me... if you mean it we welcome you into the kingdom..." so people think they get saved by saying some prayer. Next, they are told that they can never lose their salvation, when THEY WERE NEVER DISCIPLES TO BEGIN WITH!!! This teaching makes fast converts who never learn discipleship or repentance and stay "milk fed" their entire lives.

  • Well said.

  • we need to pray for this man

  • Hate to say it but this man is already dead. He committed suicide right after he committed murder. He's lost now and prayer won't do him any good. Such a shame.
