I think that one of the reasons the Yamato/Argo is so durable is because it was NOT meant to be a spaceship. Spaceships are built incredibly light. This thing was meant to take direct hits and keep on going without regard to how it affected spaceflight capability.
Only real problem with this series (Bolar Wars - forget the voice acting) is how ridiculously durable they made the Argo. Taking on the entire Bolar fleet and not even using the Wave Motion gun? At least the other 2 series made it seem like a challenge (fighting the carriers in the first series - having the comet empire fleet decimate the earth fleet, etc...).
the argo is not riducously durable. in the 1st. series she was hardened special build that would be a selfsufficient and durable enough to survive the transgalactic round trip to iscandar. all other following ships standard constructions so can be mass produced and take into account support facilities. alien ships similar methodology. that why argo seem so survivable
Yet another example where the supposedly low-quality Bolar Wars is less "censored" than the other Star Blazers seasons. They would never have allowed a "kamikaze charge" before.
Like everyone else, Thanks for posting these episodes. I don't think the Bolar Wars was ever aired in the US during the 80's or at any time. Again, thanks
I too say thanks again . There are only 2 more episodes left in the series. How about posting them up now instead of making wait the usual month ? think of all the advatages... 1) People like me will be ever so greatful . 2 ) People like Me will finally stop bugging You to put up the next episdoe . 3 ) It eould be really cool if u did !
Thanks again I am looking foward to the last 2 episodes of this series. BTW Has anyone else noticed that the days left count on the screen has consistantly been behind that of the narator ?
The audio is bad
the memories are great.

i can't take much more of the stupid sayings in this series...."go for broke"...jesus...
DartsRme312 2 years ago
"Go for broke" is a tribute to the United States Marine corp, would you rather have had Wildstar say "Banzai"

@SpockBorg5
Its a bit like how ships are made now. Small lightly armoured ships.
From the old battleships.
I was really hoping to see a space battleship iowa.

@fizzlecheer i WAS JUST thinking the same thing....i can't believe they didn't use the wave motion gun...amazing...

OK, I take it back. That dialog where Sandor suggests the Wave Gun and Wildstar says "Good idea!!" is idiotic.
How could Wildstar possibly need someone to remind him of the existence of the ship's main weapon?

why dont they just build 3 more of the argo\yamato class and conquer the universe?
barak219 3 years ago
@barak219
LOL. It wouldnt even need weapons. They can just launch it towards the fleets and watch them waste their ammo on it
