At the end of day, only consistency and who gets to win the most slam titles that counts. no one in their freaking mind in 5 or 10 years would still be talking about h2h battles. Although i appreciate rogers talent and admire what he has done i have to pose the question: How can he be the greatest when he can't beat nadal in the big tournaments? He has a losing head to head of 5-2 in slam finals. Surely, the debate of greatness is a bit premature until he beats nadal a few times in slams. Very good argument and its one i think about alot too...we all know nadal is arguably the greatest player ever on clay and that rogers favourite tournament is wimbleton..although roger has never beaten rafa on rolland garros he has beaten more then once on clay ie madrid this yr..rafa needed everything he had to beat roger in auz 09 and wimbleton 08..i think no one can denounce rogers greatness but how we define the best ever is def a matter of opinion

well for me it's quite simple..

It's 2009 fed after 10 years of professional career has won everything.He won everybody but one player opposed his dominance.But we don't know if nadal's best years are ahead of him or not.If they aren't i'm sorry but he is not the best player between the 2.If they are well i think that if he continues like he did the last 2 years 10 slams are not a difficult task for him.And then we will know for sure..

Roger deserves every single conquer he fights for...he is not just a special player...as a citizen he is also to be respected ! His attitude and his concern about his foundation in south Africa...he is an example of a human beeing still at such young age got the bless to look aroung and realize that the world needed more than his magic ability with the racquet...and so he was also endowed with a special feeling...that i hope could be captured for other top players at any sport !
