  • their most onest song I think !

  • CHAOS can be fun!...

  • THIS IS GOLD!!!!!!!!!

  • THIS IS GOLD!!!!!!!!!

  • THIS IS GOLD!!!!!!!!!

  • wowza.... well... they did mention that they wanted to be like 'the clash' lol

i never realised just how much they borrowed from them until now...

    awesome though!

  • Haha! I remember this performance at the time, but not watched it for years & only now, looking back, can I recall how utterly shambolic it was!

How Nicky resists smashing the shit out of that bass that's refusing to work/lead keeps falling out, I'll never know!

As mentioned above though, noteable for their decision to play Repeat, against the wishes of the shows producers!

    You've gotta love the Manics!

  • 2:10 onwards is just the best! Haha Nicky attacking Richey,Richey pushing him away,Girl kisses him,and he walks off in a huff and then falls over :D

  • Nicky's face after that girl kissed him is priceless "Excuse me, I'm trying to have Nicky/Richey moment here!"

  • I would have loved to be at this gig, if only i was old enough. 1990 kid if only i was 1975.

  • I jus love the fact they were actually meant to play "Loves Sweet Excile" but instead turned to "Repeat" xD good old Welsh Rebles eh? ;) lol

  • this is so punk

  • Great stuff, the crowd are loving at the front. Not a great performance at all but fun. Manics are amazing!!

  • Shambolic performance but that makes it all the more amusing

  • Repeat after me, fuck the BNP and EDL!

Useless Nazi nation, dumb fascist scum!

  • Amen........dm18876

  • Fuck queen and country!

  • i so miss when james used to play like this...

  • Shit song, shit performance, but a fucking great band.

  • so true lol. its actually a sort of good thing!

  • By the way the fatuous, vacuous presenter at the end was Amanda de Cadenet, a wannabe serious muso who like many of todays celebs was famous for dropping her knickers for anyone remotely famous, and was shagging one of Duran Duran, so that's an accurate indication of her musical tastes. And yes, she was pretty hateful and repulsive

  • Bloody hell looking at some of these comments makes me realise how "rawk n roll" some of you arseholes think you are. The Manics started out as a kick against all that went before, including the glam thing. Get a grip, eh? All bands metamorphose into something different from how they set out. Look at Radiohead - you wouldn't recognise them from the beginnings circa Pablo Honey

  • Fabulous performance! 2:18 lucky girl ;)

  • This is brilliant XD 2.12 onwards = fucking amazing (: nicky going in for richeys neck ^^ lol what ledgends <3

  • Lol, how rubbish is that tv show, IT'S NOT LOVE'S SWEET EXILE. (That gold lamé shirt just made me laugh/love Jim SO much!)

  • From what I can remember (from *ahem* Pricey's book) the Manics were set to play Love's Sweet Exile and rehearsed that like good little boys...right up till they went live and then played Repeat. You've just gotta LOVE them!!

  • I remember seeing this on TV and buying Generation Terrorists off the back of it!!! as I 17 yr old, I thought it was awesome!

  • Look closely at 2:32-34 Nicky fell on the floor xD Big falling tree lol

  • Comment removed

  • god james is the sex and this is comin from a guy

  • It may be an abysmal performance, but it was still the moment I realised this was my favourite band.

  • Don't bleed on the stage

  • Don't bleed on the furniture.

  • "You compassed yourself?"

  • I wonder how much Nicky had to nag on James to make him put on that shirt, hah.

James never was much for the glam-style eh?

  • loves sweet exile my ass!

  • floor manager on the word at this point was Jo Whiley, apparently the fucking terrahawk almost got sacked over this so wp manics

  • I love it when Richey's miming away when it's obvious he's making no sound at all - just like 80s TOTP.

Nicky's bass was way too high over James' cool solos. Love guitar solos. Hate the image they had at the time - if those were my fans, I'd shoot myself.

  • what you talking about this performance is amazing

  • i love the manics... but i must say this performance was a total bag of shit

    sorry

    makes for good 'youtubing' tho

  • ..Id prefer to say a beautuful shambles....

    lol

  • I'm so glad that I was around in 1991 and saddoes like 'heyavery1x' were NOT! ha ha

  • he's probably young and beautiful, whereas age has ravaged your once youthful visage.

  • Great Video,thanks for sharing :)

  • Everything that glitters is.. James! :D

  • Aaw, bless Nicky falling over at the end. :)

  • Between James' gold shirt and Nicky falling over at the end I nearly died of lolz.

  • lol @ nicky's face after the girl kissed him XD "ugh, girls..." haha

  • Damn, I wish I was that girl on stage at the end ;)

    + Nice top, James! Haha..

  • He ha. That bitchy, unimpressed presenter at the end...

  • Haha, I can see two of the girls from the Little Baby Nothing video in the front of the crowd!

  • ha ha! trust the manics to play repeat instead... i still cant beleve that this was before i was born...

  • I remember seeing this it the time.

    Still quite embarrassing.

  • Haha oh yeh i memba this. they were spsoed tom do Loves sweet exile but 'decided' to do Repat instead. haha

  • hahaha, Love's Sweet Exile indeed! I do hope some Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells type characters were up late watching this one. "Repeat after me, FUCK QUEEN AND COUNTRY"

  • its repeat not love's sweet exile

  • Yes, hence I said 'Love's Sweet Exile indeed!'

  • Thanks for posting this. Fucking great vid, man. Never seen it before.
