Haha! I remember this performance at the time, but not watched it for years & only now, looking back, can I recall how utterly shambolic it was!

How Nicky resists smashing the shit out of that bass that's refusing to work/lead keeps falling out, I'll never know!

As mentioned above though, noteable for their decision to play Repeat, against the wishes of the shows producers!

By the way the fatuous, vacuous presenter at the end was Amanda de Cadenet, a wannabe serious muso who like many of todays celebs was famous for dropping her knickers for anyone remotely famous, and was shagging one of Duran Duran, so that's an accurate indication of her musical tastes. From what I can remember (from *ahem* Pricey's book) the Manics were set to play Love's Sweet Exile and rehearsed that like good little boys...right up till they went live and then played Repeat. You've just gotta LOVE them!!
