The final approach was way too fast and consequently the pilot needed to use the entire runway to slow the plane down. Lion Air is a very unsafe airline and its on the EU banned list...avoid at all costs!

yes they have brand new fresh from the factory planes, yes they became the launch costumer for the 737-900ER, but what about their maintenance program? what about their cabin and flight crew training program?? 2 of their 737-900ER already involve in the same "sliding of the runway" accident. LCC in Indonesia is just pure LCC, they trade cheap flights with your life....

honestly, its not worth even a cent paying a LCC ticket.

yes of course it's safe. in fact most indonesian airliners including lion air has ordered hundreds of brand new planes from boeing and airbus. lion ordered 178 737-900 ER and they already received 16 of them, fresh from seattle

Well, the runway in supadio is really short! I fly to that airport in FSX using an A321 and I skidded off the runway! Well, I didn't really skid on other airports, just supadio.

so yes, you can use any electronic including cell phone if you got the permission from the PIC!

i use my cell phone all the time in my flight, and have never get any radio communication problem, all the cell phone does is to disturb the magnetic compass of the aircraft.

i have read one articel about this thing. flight cannot crash if one of the passengger use an electronic device even handphone but it can effect the flight little bit and plus the pilot skill and human error or the cross wind and weather. it will cost a crash. and talk about meeting with u on flight, i dont think so..i'm still young.

it was raining so it had to land like that to prevent the aquaplaning effect. It is a normal procedure to land like that in wet runway because it will break the water and make sure that the wheel of the plane has maximum grip with the tarmac. The part that the plane stop not until it reached the end of the runway is meant to reduce the pressure of the braking on the wheel which can make the plane slipped because the runway is wet.
