sounds like your turbos makin' noise. Check it out, and look up rebuild kits. They are a HELL of alot cheaper then buying new. Check your valves and watch for a dropped valve. We did that in a buddies Integra and fucked the WHOLE thing over. lol

worse noise in the world for a scooby driver. Mine let go 2 months ago. just go a fully forged 2.5 lump so should be sitting pretty when i can afford to do the rest.

7K for 350 sounds bit expensive

7k for rebuld + turbo, cams, rods, pistons, heads, clutch and flywheel upgrades, + remap. Engine is good for 500bhp+

what size engine/turbo did you go for? 7K for all that is about right including labour i guess. who remapped? Are you going to push it in the future further?

Not for a face lift 2000 at the time i had it done. Plus the car was immaculate I didnt want to change it

That sounds just like mine did before it dropped a valve and put holes in the piston. I'd just taken a deposit on it too. Balls!

i always changed the oil before it needed doing and always warmed the car up, just one of them things, car is now rebuilt to 350bhp and was worth every penny, lol

i payed about 7k on MY00, but that was for a major upgrade, your probably looking at 2k for a standard rebuild.

Just had my 1996 turbo 2000 done. Full rebuild was £2.4k. Pushing out 330bhp now though. Wooo.
