  • My 3 yr old is in love w/this & it was hard to find it on their website........thanks!

  • I loved the letter N best. I had so many dreams about this at night! WHo made the animation here? Was it Jim who also did MJ's "Leave Me Alone?' video? it looks like him. Someone also needs to try and make a catchy remix of this song if possible.

  • Roboman sent me

  • yeah the eyes in the jungle creeped me out too.

  • I guess they got that memo because they cut the ending short! LOLz @the fact that B talks about a bear roaring but shows a kitten morphing into a tiger!

  • sesame street was totally rockin the 808's in their songs during the 80's

  • lol i remember this! thx 4 posting

  • I finally found this song I haven't seen this for awhile.

  • I remember when I was about four, this segment scared me REALLY badly. I was always worrying it would come on whenever I watched Sesame Street; it was terrifying.

Now I don't know what I was afraid of.

  • I know what you mean.

  • The end of this really creeped me out. It was the eyes in the dark.

  • it's the ending when it's dark n all the eyes r staring at u. it used 2 creep me out 2.

  • not to mention the music in general, and the spider.

  • The background in the beginning is remniscent of "baby got back" somehow... O_o

  • Cool. This song used to always be stuck in my head.

  • I remember this one!

  • I used to love this song! this was the real reason I really watched Sesame street!

  • lol she's white

  • wattamack4,

My students found this Sesame Street video while finishing their animation assigments in class. I designed & directed this video at Klasky Csupo for the Children's Television Network.

It was surprising to revisit this after so long...

    ztrawhcsg

  • Oh yes, I remember this! A 90's Sesame Kid could remember this!

  • I remember that since way back!

  • Yea this was one of my favorite alphabet songs from sesame street... Sesame street sucks now, Elmo's cool but does he really need 15 minutes all to himself...

  • I think this 'toon is the reason I loved the alphabet book "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" so much as a kid =)

  • Oh, this song used to be cold back then, boi!! Plus, that rappin lil girl had skillz! The next Jay-Z I tell ya!

  • Oh wow I remember this! I was only a little kid and I grew up calling 'Z' Zee instead of Zed, coz I'm british and they didn't change it for the UK... Got in so much trouble or doing that at Pre-School

  • The ending part with the eyes scared me so bad as a kid.

  • LOL! Me 2!

  • Word, I commented about that!

The entire cartoon had me terrified.

  • It does kind of sound like that!

  • Wow, the early 1990s at its best!

  • i didn't understand the snoring letter z when i was little, needless to say i do now

  • i've been looking everywhere for this! thank u so much!

  • this scared me as a kid

  • My son, now 15 years old, use to call it "apapetoyo" when he watched it when he was an infant. I've been telling him about it all these years! Now he has seen it again.

  • I would have called it "apapetoyo" too, if I had only seen it! Funny!

  • Yes, this scared the shit out of me, mostly the end part where it gets dark and nothing but their eyes....yeesh.

  • OH YES YES YES! What a classic this is! I miss it SO much! Nice seeing it again!

  • Was Baby Bear dreaming about Alphabet Jungle?

  • This was one of my favorites!

But it would kind of creep me out!

  • No they don't, But still enough to get you away from a alligator b bear c cat d dog and so on and so on.

  • what do they say about the letter b? & the letter y?

  • B gives a big bad roar

X marks the spot where Y lies patiently

  • thank u.

  • Here is Alphabet Jungle part 2

AOUDAD BABIRUSA CASSOWARY DHOLE ELAND FENEC FOX GELADA HYRAX INDRI JAGUARUNDI KINKAJOU LINSANG MOUFLON NUMBAT OKAPI PECCARY QUOKKA RHEA SECRETARY BIRD TENREC URILA VICUNA WATERBUCK XANTS,S HUMMINGBIRD YAPOK ZORILLA

  • These animals don,t all live in the same place.

  • I know some animals, Some you may not know about for each letter.

  • I so wanted to see this! Thank you!

  • I loved this one. The other one I loved was the Afircan animal alphabet, except T for tiger because they don,t live in Africa.

  • They should have Gabi singing this in a street scene.

  • Sesame Street was always known for its artsy,(creepy to us)animated segments, even to this day.

  • How I remember this! I still know all the words! How I wished I could ride an ostrich! (Like that'll ever happen!)

  • Yes I do remember this! For some reason it's scared me just a little.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I haven't seen this one in a long time.

  • Thank you ever so much! What was that at the beginning?

  • Baby Bear sleeping.

  • I also had requested this. Thank you again.

  • And apparently he was dreaming the sketch.

  • thank u soooooooo much 4 posting. i remember the ending used 2 scare me alittle bit. (lol)

  • I agree. One of the better ones from what I think of as the "early shoulder" period 1989-1994. I'm surprised there was no snake for "s."

    ~Ra'akone

  • One of the best "late" classics--five stars!

  • I love this song, can you find A B C D E, there is an egg on my knee.

  • I've got a copy, but it has the Noggin logo (darned Unpaved episodes)...could any tech-savvy YouTubers help us, please?

  • Wanna ask Nantoreturns?

  • I directed the video for the Children's Television Network. I have my 3/4 original.
