    "We brought everyone back."

(Shout out to the convoy security guys and RCTs...)

  • SERIOUSLY? YOU GUYS ARE FU*KING RETARDED. INSIDE THE WIRE FOOTAGE WITH SMALL PART OF A CONTROLLED DET... GOOD FOR YOU GUYS SEEING JUST A SMALL FRACTION OF WHAT IT IS LIKE OUTSIDE THE WIRE. I WAS STATIONED AT LSA ANACONDA OVER 3 YEARS AGO. TRY DOING ROUTE CLEARANCE YOU FOBBITS. :)

  • @pfcbaker21 Wow PFC! You're not full of hate are you? Now I know there are a lot of other people out there who do much more dangerous jobs than what we did and guess what, this video wasn't supposed to be an action thriller movie. It was a video for those of us who worked together out there. Now a word of advice. If you wouldn't say this dumb shit like what you posted to your Sgt Maj, then don't post it here. Even if you would, that only shows how smart you are.

  • Comment removed

  • @pfcbaker21 Yea let's hate on the people that provided air support!

    Way to go you douchebag.

  • @pfcbaker21 I love you all my buddy is over there. The war aint over They still fight every day Americans are the best. All us NATO troops are the best

    e there

  • @pfcbaker21 don't worry i am sure you saw your fare share but remember that while you were in you bunk sleeping we fobbits were standing on post ensuring you were able to sleep knowing you were protected how dare you say your job was more dangerous then us how ignorate can you be I was alomost killed over there while on the fob by a rocket. If you think your better than us grab a rifle stand post for 14 hours and dodge rockets, mortars, and deal with you army F*cks all the time and shut up.

  • You guys were the rotation after mine AEF 3/4 from Barksdale, LA. Man I missed that place. Wish I could go back to see how it's changed. You guys ever volunteer at the hospital? I did a few times while I was there. That was probably the most life changing experience I had while I was there.

  • i liked your video. But i would like to see more of the other air forcce afsc's taking part in convoy missions. I am part of the convoy team and would like to see that Air force takes it share risks on th road.

  • Nice Vid, I was there during that rotation, I remeber all the mortars that came in H6, throwing rocks all over the dorms, definately memorable.

  • oh man brings back memories. you guys were escorts?

thx for putting up the video

  • i was out there doing C-ram at the time...

  • Calm the fuck down you guys, What was shown on the flightline that was so special? How the jet goes on the runway? How they take off? Wow, I'm sure they see them taking off all the fucking time, and also if they really wanted to, they could google it or youtube it and see it on fucking the History channel and shit if they wanted.

  • I was at Balad/Anaconda for a while, will never forget my morning cup of coffee in my motorpool across from DFAC 1, and watching the mortars hit the airfield. Never did hit the bunker, just smoked a cig and hoped they didn't get close enough to ruin my coffee break. haha.

  • @SeamusMcBastard haha good stuff! yeah i still waiting on that damn "A bus" to get across to the other side. mean while the other bus runs by every 10 minutes haha!

  • thanks for sharing... i remember u guys checking my id at the check point that was built on the air field.. then u guys made the pads for the new helos and ac-130's thanks for sharing brings back good memories

  • I like the video...Good job!!

  • Why does this cat have a tie? That is so funny!

  • Its crazy to watch thoes planes take off, Im usually on the phone with my husband when they take off , its nice to see them rather than hear them!!

  • All Yall people are retarded this is just showing our groups time out there when we where there every one has vides out so why dont yall take yall war hating non caring asses some where else jump in a ditch AND F YOUR SELVES thanks for putting up this video it brings back memory from when i was out there with you guys

  • Thanks for your Support. Nice to hear that someone understands.

  • this is the command post... there will be a controlled detonation....... haha this vid brings back some memories. thanks for posting.

  • We love you, but your really pogued out here. Only true friends would be so truely honest. Hooah.

  • so the FP arm bands is all security forces? or anyone can wear them that got guard duty shift?

  • If this video was a breech of security it wouldn't be on here anymore. I'm sure the public affairs office knows about this video. You should be more concerned about Blink 182 wanting this song off.

  • this is the best support video i ever seen iv been it put me in tears iv been in the army for 6 years and been deployed for as long as i can remember and i havent seen my mom wife or kids in 3 years thank you for suporting

  • POG

  • Great job on the video. Little has changed in Balad with the FP thing. You made great use of your pass, bro. Hopefully we'll have a video of our rotation up soon so you can see just how much nothings changed :D

Again, great job on the video.

  • These videos are a SERIOUS BREACH of security.

I just came back from Balad/Kirkuk a month ago, and if you were caught recording any Video near or on the Flightline, that would be IT for U.

The BadGuys are still VERY MUCH there, firing mortars and rockets into the base.

This stuff may be of some use to them.

  • Ok Shit for brains, lets review.

    1. This conversation has already taken place, read the fucking comments.

    2. I had a FLIGHTLINE PRESS PASS! I was allowed.

    3. Never at any time was there a "Breach of Security". Everything in this video is NOT classified.

    4. We have Iraqi nations who come on base everyday working for us. They have seen this shit before. I know cause I was the one escorting them ON THE FLIGHTLINE.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

  • you may have had a press pass....but that doesnt mean you post the vids on youtube numb nuts.

it may not be classified but its not supposed to be viewed bye god knows who. use your head tard

  • Hey Fuckstick, what part of PRESS PASS don't you understand? PRESS!!! This shit gets reviewed before it ever even leaves base. Go back and READ #4. Maybe my typo on #4 threw you off. It should say we have Iraqi Nationals (Common Public) who are working for us as contract labor. Dude hold your tongue.

  • i know there are nationals there..i just got back from balad last week.

press pass doesnt mean youtube pass douche.

  • your an asshole...anaconda aint shit..of course you went to the biggest pussy spot in all of iraq..

  • @notimeforcash as if we get a choice in which base to go to when getting deployed? i dont recall getting any options ;)

  • you joined the wrong MOS POG....

  • when were you there? cause in 04' it was the worst base to be on there, we got rocketed and mortared EVERY day, and attack once or twice a month by direct fire. I am sure it's changed a lot since then, maybe 556 was there before you were?

  • dude that aint shit my fucking COP was getting rocked with mortars everytime hajj was suppost to be praying and then some..then we had direct small arms and sniper fire balad is a fucking vacation spot a fucking god damn cakewalk i was there in 03

  • @steviepc7 what a fucking tard.

  • You guys were fighting for the same team, why are you fighting against each other.

Personally, I think this is good for the world to see. It shows that there is a sense of peacefulness overseas. I wish this was how Afghanistan was about two months ago. Be happy you came back to America with your lives. To be here with your family and loved ones.

  • @WA4TKG this is not a breach of security, because no classified materials were posted. all i see is a bunch of airmen showing their tour and their job in Iraq. we've been in Iraq now for 7 years now, i'm sure they are well aware there's a airfield on the base. plus, the airmen did not give away the position of the airfield on the base, if you wanna be a OPSEC bitch, you mind as well complain about all war videos posted after 2005, because no one was allowed to bring cameras outside the wire.

  • It normally is. A lot of our covers had gotten so nasty and out of shape from washing them that were authorized to wear these since supply wouldn't give us any. They were like $8 a piece and we enjoyed them.

  • Cool vid, just wondering, why are some air force people wearing 8 point covers? i thought that was navy/marines.

  • Awesome video I was there in AEF1/2 Jan 08 to Jun 08...and i must say everything looks the same ...even LVIS...hahaha

  • HAHAHA!!!

  • It sure does dispatch looks moved around though..........LOL. Rip it Rip it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets go to work!

  • Great video- well put together, good job showing the good times. And thanks for the footage of that A-10.. My favorite aircraft of all time. I'll be over there soon, can't say when though of course. But thanks for your service, everyone. You may be Air Force, I'm Army, but we are all brothers in this.

  • Stay safe over there Bro.

  • win98nogood- I remember that, I was there in 03-04 also.

  • I was in HHC 2/228th AVN REG right next to to the AC tower

    you?

  • @win98nogood i worked in the double "has" or however we spelled that lol greetings from 834th ASB

  • Balad is a well establish base I thought I would never say this but I actual had fun and miss the people I met there.

  • Balad may as well be in Arizona.

  • balad is the gem of iraq bases. movie theater, pool, fast food. makes it livable

  • Sucks ass if you're a flightline worker, though.

  • I was there in 05/06.. even saying that I realize that I'm an old timer.. weird

  • i go there in 2 weeks

  • i miss the sound of the jets taking off all night i used to hate it but now i cant wait to go back and do it again thanks to all my bro and sis in arms that have been and come back stay safe yall

  • I was here in 03-04 us army .

you should have seen the air force when they got mortar, running thur constantina wire scared at the mess hall etc , the next day they were full battle rattle :)

    things got better

  • ill be there in june 09..

  • aah! i think my brother will be there in June too...

    thanks for serving.

    be safe

  • man, just found out today that I'm going to Balad in August. If you got any good info you can pass along, please do :)

  • Man its not that bad was there around the same time this was taken.. Will be going back in June... Just remember to save your money.... You wil spend it there...

  • You have nothing to worry about at Balad. I was there in 2004-2005 and its a great military location with lots to do. They have just about everything you could ever need. Just stay alert and aware of your surroundings at all times.

  • Thank you for your support.

  • Screw Obama, Screw Liberals, Screw Communism and long live the United States Military. My "Brother In Law" is in Balad, Iraq. He said he is in "Maddog Company". And he carries a SAW the last name is Rattray(Pvt. Rattray)and obviously he is in the ARMY. Maybe any of you guys know him? He just got in there "like" 2 months ago?

You guys rock! Keep saving the country and bringin' peace...

  • ilol be there in march frof what i can find out it wont be to bad

  • nice vid.. what are you taking pics of the flight line??? can anyone say OPSEC!!!

  • Hey Dumb Ass, read the other comments. You will read that I had a press pass to take photography on the flight line. With a press pass comes a list of things you can't take pics or video of. The flight line is not classified. Next time think before you speak.

  • I will be over there in June 2009.

  • the f 16's. my brother is over there now as a crew chief.

  • I'll be heading there September 09

  • im going there in june, as a route clearance package.

  • You got that right man, this place is WAY Effin plush by comparison. The mortars are not as bad as they used to be and the accuracy dropped DRAMATICALLY.

  • It's nice to see that the place that I helped open in 2003 is such a playground. It wasn't always that way. In 03 at first we had no power, little AF and packs of wild dogs were everywhere. There was also a big hole in the runway, courtesy of Bush SR.. The only fixed wing aircraft that flew in/out of there were C-130's and Intel planes. Mortars started dropping there on July 1st 2003 and as I see they haven't stopped.

  • 0:38 secs...

who is that? he looks real familiar to me...

my brother was in balad with the af but i don't remember how long his tour was.

  • My son in law is over there right now. Hopefully home by Thanksgiving. Good luck guys. You're doing a great job.

  • my fiance is deploying there in a couple months.

im glad the place has nice people there.

  • Thanks for the support brother.

  • Former flyboy here...been to Balad, Kirkuk, and Baghdad and now I hang out happily with former Marines, Army, Navy, and AF. I also don't see why there's so much hate. We don't hate our relatives who have never been to Iraq, inside or outside the wire. If you're going to be a hater, then join the insurgency. I'm embarrassed for any who partake in such childish debates. Maybe that's why many civilians view the military as a bunch of stupid grunts...please stop spreading that belief.

  • what's with you guys talkin shit? hatin because they're not fuckin infantry or something, they are united states military servicemen period. u owe them as much respect as any other, i am going army mp on the other hand, but i consider all of you my brothers and sisters. *salute*

  • exactly my point. hooah!

  • p.s I will be there in January.

  • me too.

  • who are you going with? I will be with 2-104th aviation out of Ft. Indiantown Gap.

  • thanks. at least some people on this post can act like adults.

  • thank you for your service and thanks for not hating on this video.

  • I don't understand why it's such a big deal and everyone(well not everyone) is fighting about this video. I think no matter who you are it's important that you back up your battle buddies and do your tour. No matter what your job is. I am a 63B(mechanic) and I don't think I will leave the FOB either unless I do recovery missions. But I still think what I do is as important as anyone else. Geez, I guess the comradery goes out the window in the big picture.

  • I don't get it, all I see is a bunch of pouges that have never been outside the wire.

Join the Army or Marine Corp if you want to be a killer, not the gay blue union (USAF)

  • lets keep arguing like kids.that way we can single whose better.

  • SF going over there in a few

  • Stupid fucking FPs man... regular air force chodes that think they're hot shit saving the whole world by carrying an M16 and watching hajis all day. Stupid fucks don't know the first thing about force protection - posting videos of planes taxiing and taking off for anyone to see.

  • HEY FUCKTARD if your going to shit on someone then you better get it RIGHT!!! ONE, You think we FUCKING VOLUNTEERED FOR THAT SHIT JOB??? FUCK NO!!! We did it cause we were told to. TWO, EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING on this video is UNCLASSIFIED!!!. I had a FUCKING PRESS PASS which stated what we were not allowed to take photography of and I followed it. TAKE YOUR HATE SOMEWHERE ELSE SHITBIRD!!!

  • It's "choad" not "chode" you dumb-ass.

  • Did this poser ever leave the base?

  • People looking to get attention for "fucking" women is totally incredible. Not to mention deployed women overseas. FUCK YOU for looking for the fucking recognition that you don't deserve, douche bag. Grow a set, and wake the fuck up.

  • Yes, those in LSA Anaconda had it GOOD.!!!!

  • i miss the shit out of those FP girls. Us firefighters there at balad fuck like 50% of them. The good ol days.

  • Hail to the 35th! (2:55. WW tailmarkings)

  • Oh man....Balad. I was there Nov '06 through May '07. Those F-16s taking off is cool like the first two or three times...then it's just annoying to hear them taking off full afterburner.

  • You f'in faggots at LSA annaconda dont know how good you had it

  • Wow, I think someone is a little bitter.

  • we knew exactly how good we had it! Sorry I scored so high on my ASVAB douche!

  • @Ickkymez oh we had it very good there, but that hardly makes us "f'in faggots".. i dont recall anyone asking me which base we would like to go to lol

  • the airforce has it GOOOOOD on anaconda

  • welcome US army to the death in Iraq :)

  • i like that idiot Bush who sent the US army to us in Iraq in a way we weren't dream in. actually it's the best decision he took.

  • Yeah I know spell check. By the way the video is cool as fuck. now is correct dammit.

  • Hey Im in that video. Jo!! this viedeo is coo as fuck. Old times in Irak. FP!!

    Torres

  • when i was at LSA anaconda i did this army deployment where we ran convoys ( ex-AF) i remember seeing the FP and thinking "damn it must have sucked to have to watch the TCN's clean the shitters all day... good job though bc someone needed to do it and you guys were cool enough to do it

  • WOW I WAS THERE WHEN THERE WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING 03-04 hhc 2-228TH AVN REG ARMY

  • im a cop and what i find funny is all these "non-cops" talk shit about us at home station, yet they deploy as FP and try to be our friends or they think they are warriors or something- go spend a 13 month deployment at camp bucca like 3/4 of air force cops have

  • bucca what a fuckin joke. dont call yourself a cop either.. security forces is fuckin gay you just sit in a tower or on the flight line and let cars in. i was ex-SF but thankfully when I went to LSAA I was with the army doing cool shit not patrolling the chow hall getting fat

  • Dude deploy for 12 to 15months and cry about it somewhere other than youtube. And, I bet your gay ass is the fat army DFAC monitor that tells people that they cannot go in without clearing their weopons. Stop crying! Bitch

  • Haha so true they midnight chow opens, it looks like they moved the station in there.

  • Nice video ;)

  • Oh, how I miss LSA A...when were you there?

  • Jan-May 07

  • I was there September 06-September 07...probably ran across ya once or so..

  • Wow, you need a life

  • This is the gayest thing I have ever seen,

You are Force Protection. You guys are the biggest queers in the AirForce. You can not protect crap.

  • Thanks for posting this video!! My hubby is heading over to Balad in just a few weeks and it is nice to see where he is going to be for the next few months!!!

  • No Problem, glad you liked it.

  • lol thankyou guys and gals!

  • I see you threw in some photos of desert queens, how many of them did you gang bang?

  • LOL non for me thanks but I knew a few people who had their own desert romance.

  • Guess you never got briefed you on OPSEC. You're an idiot.

  • These are big words coming from such a little person. Hey FUCKTARD, this video was approved by PR. This is all UNCLASSIFIED footage. I was issued a flight line press pass and briefed what was go and no go. What would you know about it? O by the way, check out google maps. Yea Satellite imagery of LSA Anaconda! In others words, HOLD YOUR TONGUE WENCH!

  • Amen Brother...lol! Don't ya hate douche bags that jump to conclusions??

  • I love the video, my bf has spent plenty of time at Balad this winter and I proudly wear my LSA Anaconda clothing back home! Thanks for the video good job!

  • Balad Air Base or LSA Anaconda is the very best place to be in Iraq. It is the safest place you can be in Iraq. Your soldiers, sailors, airmen, and civilians are well provided for and protected there.

The new hospital is concrete and is protected from indirect fire.

For those still there stop by the PAX terminal for the very best bathrooms in the country.

  • Glorified babysitters. EOD BABY!

  • Hey there is NO GLORY in that job. At least EOD gets to blow shit up.

  • Thankyou sooo sooo much for this video!! My husband left for balad about a month and half ago and it was neat to kinda see where he is. My husband is a hospital liason for the Marine Corps there... im not sure excatly what hes doing but all your comments here make me feel alot better!! thanks again for posting this!!

  • I was a FP for AEF 3/4 before you guys came in. I miss being there, nothing beat the smell of the burn put in the morning. Did you guys ever turn up the speakers at the compound and play the incomming soundfile or alarm red? That shit is a kick!

  • My dad had to leave 2 days after christmas for balad in 2006. he got home just ok, thank god.

  • I'm SO glad I found this. My son is in the AF and left this morning for Balad. It makes me feel a little better to at least see what the place he's going to spend the next several months looks like! Thanks a lot - You've made a Mom's day!

  • Glad I could help. The question came up the other day if I would go back and I said yes with out hesitation. Its not bad there. The base is WELL protected. Our boys in ground forces Army/Marine Corps have it together while we AF folks keep the skies in submission. He will be fine, just keep sending the letters cause it can really make a difference.

  • I'll keep the letters and small packages going out of the states! Just received his address today... he also told me it's not too bad! Thanks again to you, and all our military folks! The grateful Mom.

  • hey just wanted to say thank you......im fiance leaves within the next couple weeks i was tryin to see what the place was like just to ease my own worries and this helped....i pray it stay calm over there....

  • My husband is on his way to Balad as im typing this, I hope it is a safe place, we have a baby on the way.....

  • I spent 4 months over there and experienced very little trouble. There was only one night with real conflict that lasted about 5 mins. with zero loss of american life. Our boys have the best training and field experience to pass on to others. I am sure you husband will be just fine. Just don't forget to write him...lol. Mail really means a lot. What is your husbands job?

  • He is going TDY and they say they dont know exactly what he will be doing, there was talk of convoys, is is trained for loading weapons for the USAF... He only had 3 days of training for convoys and hostile fire before he left.. 2 of the 3 days were classes not field training.. Oh I already have a Nintendo DS ready to mail along with a bunch of letters lol

  • I wouldn't worry to much about the convoy stuff. He will get a lot from the guys who are out there already. We have become quite good at keeping our eyes peeled. What branch is he in?

  • I was there in '05 1/126th AVN HAS 5, Your son couldn't be in a better, more safe place!

  • I guess this is where he is going. Leaves very soon! My first born son.

  • Nice video, bro. My son's there right now. Merry Christmas!

  • Thanks. Merry Christmas to your family and son.

  • Makes me wish I was 20 or 30 years younger.

  • my brother is in balad right now.

  • I've been gone two years now. Folks were building and changing like crazy. Came back through the pass through gate at 2300 and found a 3' deep trench 200yds long between my tent and the Cadillacs. Damn wasn't there when I left.

  • It's been 2 months since I've heard a F-16 take off from balad.... really brought me back..... thanks alot.

  • I served there in 03-04 HHC 2-228th AVN REG

    93P

  • Tower 33 Balad Iraq I love that place HA

  • Wow, the people in this video look familiar and I don't know why...oh wait, I was deployed with them.

  • O yea I forgot...SOF RAMP FO LIFE!!!!

  • u guys are heroes

  • fuck mortoritaville! that place is so huge there would be incoming and we'ed stand outside and watch that vulcan shoot them down. try being at paliwoda and having incoming. the size of four football fields. we caught 8 rounds one day. its called "shamaconda" anyway

  • Balad AB and LSA Anaconda are the same place. Mortaritaville!!!

  • thats anaconda. this is balad.

  • What, you mean you didnt go outside of the wire? Well I am sure you guys had plenty of bike helment tickets to write. Good thing the sea ram was working around DEFAC 1. HOOAH.

  • ahh...brings back alot of memories..i was there for 3/4 sept 06-feb 07. c-ram still gives me the chills

  • this video reminds me a lot of my year in balad. specially the C-Ram test fire. that thing safed my life. thanks for the video. good memories come back

  • I was a SF cop in Iraq and you FP had a hard job.............always in the sun.!!!! good job though.

  • yes. the airconditioned dodge rams, chevy suburbans, and ford explorers must have been soooo hard to bear during the summer on anaconda. lol

Props for serving like the rest of us, though your 4-6mo tours are just a blink in our 15mo tours. Honestly, I could do without the Th'uper Forth'es.
