This was fantastic! Well spoken with in reasonable understanding of what the truth is when it comes to the Bible that Iv'e been force fed since childhood. Are other people's opinion going to give you eternal life? No brother...but you don't have to grow your beard if you don't want to and you can dress the same as always. Liking it or disking it is a matter of personal preference, and neither choice has a wrong or right side. @DDFF232 I know that you posted this a year ago. But there's MORE than two. The Coptics (Egyptian Catholics) have their own. Others have different books they consider cannon as well. There are AT LEAST TEN (10) different Bibles with different books used currently around the world. :)
@turrauko Brother, the Coptics are not the Egyptian Catholics, all Egyptians are Coptics. Before Islam, the majority of the Egyptians were Muslims who declared that God is only one and that Jesus is His messenger and this makes them Muslims as we know, others were Orthodox Christians and minorities of Jews, Pagans and maybe different Christian sects. All of those were called Coptics. It's just these years that the Christians say "we're the Coptics" but actually all of the Egyptians are :)

Al you need is to subtract the islamic calender with the latin 11 days and time it with the arabic months. Consider the variation in months as the earth never orbits in stabil speed.
Well the difference between the two calenders are 11 days(Islamic starts 8. January and ends 28. December)We need to find the difference at that time so we time 11 days with 12,5(arabic months) getting 137 days which makes 4,5 months. This number will variate with years and months(February, 4*years)Now for each year going this 4,5 reduces til the age of six then it will reach 2,7=2,7*6=16,2. After 3 years we reach 9 and the number of months reaches 2,1*9=18,9

Muhammed didn't marry a child. The muslim calender starts in the middle of the latin one. Now translating from latin to todays calender, and comparing it to the muslim, we see that we have a difference of 4 and a half months each year. The "Gospel of Hermas" or as it is usually referred to, The Shepherd of Hermas, is not a gospel since it does not describe the life and teachings of Jesus. It centers around the former slave Hermas that has visions and it is true that some early christians regarded it as the word of god. But it does not talk of Jesus and is therefore can not be said to be contrary to the other gospels.
They share so much because we know Jesus was sent from God and he was the Word of God. What we have to understand is that he was sent from his Creator. I actually feel bad for many Christians (I used to be one), and I know that there are many honest good people who call themselves Christians. Sadly though, they have been deceived by the lies of men who passed their words off as Gods' words. The message that Jesus brought, along with all the prophets: Your God is One, worship him alone.

This was fantastic! Well spoken with in reasonable understanding of what the truth is when it comes to the Bible that Iv'e been force fed since childhood. @DDFF232 I know that you posted this a year ago. But there's MORE than two. The Coptics (Egyptian Catholics) have their own. Others have different books they consider cannon as well. There are AT LEAST TEN (10) different Bibles with different books used currently around the world. :)

@turrauko Brother, the Coptics are not the Egyptian Catholics, all Egyptians are Coptics. Before Islam, the majority of the Egyptians were Muslims who declared that God is only one and that Jesus is His messenger and this makes them Muslims as we know, others were Orthodox Christians and minorities of Jews, Pagans and maybe different Christian sects. All of those were called Coptics. It's just these years that the Christians say "we're the Coptics" but actually all of the Egyptians are :)

I enjoy watching these programs. I have not been able to fully understand Islam. What about the millions upon millions of humans who had died prior to the Prophet Muhammad? Do they go to hell? Why is there so much time difference from Abram to the revelation of Islam? I can totally explain the trinity and Christ. I will admit there is still confusion which I guess is the mystery of God. I suppose if God wants me to understand Islam he will make it clear.

If you want to learn about Islam, then make a sincere effort in your heart, asking the ONE True God, who created you and the Universe for guidance. Please do not rely on muslims. Some of the best muslims on the Earth, who are practicing this religion properly are those who have reverted from other religions - I hope you join them.

Islam is submission to Allah. Allah is the word for the One and Only (True) God. The God of the monotheistic faiths. Ofcourse all three percieve the God in different manners. Al you need is to subtract the islamic calender with the latin 11 days and time it with the arabic months. Consider the variation in months as the earth never orbits in stabil speed.

Well the difference between the two calenders are 11 days(Islamic starts 8. January and ends 28. December)We need to find the difference at that time so we time 11 days with 12,5(arabic months) getting 137 days which makes 4,5 months. This number will variate with years and months(February, 4*years)Now for each year going this 4,5 reduces til the age of six then it will reach 2,7=2,7*6=16,2. After 3 years we reach 9 and the number of months reaches 2,1*9=18,9

At Least, Christians and Muslims believe in the same God.
At least we believe in 1 true God, or 1 true Allah.
And We both have faith, peace and love in our hearts.
War and fights happen because of religions.
Why not recognize what we have in common and share our love to our God or our Allah.

i'm an indonesian christian. and my language adopts the arabic translation for God which is Allah. so in our christian prayers we also say Allah. and we call Jesus as Yesus, which is closer to Yesua or Isa which is His middle east name. i don't think He would mind... after all He created all the languages in the world, right?

Raheem Green mentions the Gospel of Hermas. I must point out that there is no such gospel. The "Gospel of Hermas" or as it is usually referred to, The Shepherd of Hermas, is not a gospel since it does not describe the life and teachings of Jesus. It centers around the former slave Hermas that has visions and it is true that some early christians regarded it as the word of god. But it does not talk of Jesus and is therefore can not be said to be contrary to the other gospels.

They share so much because we know Jesus was sent from God and he was the Word of God. What we have to understand is that he was sent from his Creator. I actually feel bad for many Christians (I used to be one), and I know that there are many honest good people who call themselves Christians. Sadly though, they have been deceived by the lies of men who passed their words off as Gods' words. The message that Jesus brought, along with all the prophets: Your God is One, worship him alone.
