omg! they're still around!? I went to my first ren fest in Houston when I was about 11 and heard this band play. Been in my head for 20 years now! amazing to see them still going strong after all this time
i love that song, or set, i used to listen to it when i was a kid by the same band of musicians when i was 14 and im 29 now, never thought wyndnwyre would make it so long and far.
First tune is English trad folk, of the oldest sort. Nonesuch was first published in 1651 in a book of English Country Dance tunes.
Second tune was written a bit more recently,by the dulcimer player, Bill Klecka, although we sometimes tease him that his tune may be the older of the two. ;-)
