I was just wandering, just hypotheticaly,(if i want to have perfect hp/mp with everybody at once)if i have perfect hp/mp with vaan on level eg 15 and then balthier and fran join the party, will they also have max hp/mp on their level 16?Should i reset and load again the game or just play without leveling up until i get everybody into the party and then leveling up?
I tried that routine - it doesn't work. If you truly and absolutely want a perfect, you'll need to obtain all 6 characters with Vaan at level 1, Balthier and Fran at level 2, and the others at level 3 (and even then, you're not guaranteed a perfect, unless you go through certain tedious events potentially dozens of times. I would strongly suggest going for near perfection. Get all 6 characters on as low of a level as you can handle, then use my leveling grounds to go from there.
@poopalisk Making sure you keep Odin until Lv. 99 is important to keep his one-of-a-kind speed boost, and to get max HP and MP, Bahamut and Crusader need only be equipped for the last few level ups. Otherwise you can choose whatever other stats to raise as much as you like. I hope I'm not just fueling your ocd.
The HP bonuses are so slight that I find them essentially worthless. Sure you can get over 100 HP for a single level up at one point, you're already near the maximum for both HP and MP at level 99 making the HP and MP bonuses essentially worthless. Vigor and Magic are really the only 2 worthy ones, with speed being a fairly distant third (vigor at 128 or magic at 105 are my stopping points - I go for speed afterwards until level 99). I've defeated Kefka without needing to restore HP....
It's the burning bow, the most powerful weapon you can get until you get the dawn shard where the zodiac spear and defender become accessible, if you know how to get them. How to get the burning bow is explained in stage 5 of my videos, stage 4 in my GameFAQs powerleveling guide (of which needs an update). That same guide also explains how to get the golden skullcap, maximillian, crown of laurels, and many other near-best pieces of equipment.
Wow man your back in Ivalice and your still owning FF games. Your vids are great man. I'd really like to see you do something with quickenings and espers cause as far as I can tell after beating and getting pretty much everything in the game. I've found espers and quickenings are mostly useless.
I also find espers and quickenings quite useless - all that MP for relatively little damage. It's quite a disappointment. However, I may have open the path up to 6-figure damage if the experiment works out, but I otherwise need to go through the whole game before that can happen.... As a side note, I'm level 95 with 6267 HP and 298 MP. It's looking like I'll have 6612 to 6615 HP and 300 or 301 MP when I finish. You'll see a video of this when I'm done which may be today.
FF6 does not have random stat growth and I've played through it many times. Sure the stats vary, but you have control over that - just equip the esper with the stat you want to raise just before you level up, get the level up, then revert as needed. It's the most effective way to raise stats. Getting the esper (Zoneseek?) that raises magic attack by 2 (use the auction in Jidoor for this at the earliest possible, after clearing the rather annoying magitek factory event).
Snake skins are easy to get in the first place. If the snake doesn't drop it the first time, of which is a common drop (unlike the burning bow), just get 2 zones away and the enemies will respawn. If you ignore the urstrixes and clear out a path in the zone in the middle, you can chain the snakes.
I have probably asked you this before, but have you considered making videos for Final Fantasy IX? It's my favorite Final Fantasy game, and it would be awesome to watch you manipulate the game like you did for Final Fantasy XII!
I can tell you haven't searched. I have plenty of FF9 videos though I didn't get the early parts I would've enjoyed getting. That was because XP wasn't starting up - it kept freezing on the startup screen and HWW wasn't helping like they used to.
I've heard that, unless you get further into the game's story, you can't get any more powerful, which has a very strong negative effect on the motive for playing FF13. It's partly why I lost interest in FF10. Besides, even if that remark was false, cancelling the negative effect, it'll still be a good 2 or so years before I get a chance as the PS3 is far too expensive. Only about a year ago has the PS2 came within a good enough price range.
@ulillillia Ok, thanks for replying so quickly. I was just curious if u would play ff13. Oh well your FF12 videos are great enough. Lvl 47 Vaan(After Nalbina Dungeons)
One thing is puzzling me with FF12. I'm noticing that Vaan's strength and magic power are 5 greater than what is stated in the guide. Speed is 1 greater. This is without equipment as well. The guide states, for a level 70 Vaan, that I should have a strength of 61 (I had 66), magic power of 51 (I had 56), vitality of 50 (I had 50), and speed of 33 (I had 34). Are these stats randomized as well or, like FF9, is the equipment having an effect, providing bonuses?
I found out the cause - I forgot about those "battle lore" and "magic lore" licenses which add 5 to each. Those stats are not randomized - it's only HP and MP that are. For reference, I've just now hit level 87 and I've got 5656 HP (4656 base, if the 1000 extra from licenses are left out) and 291 MP. I've got 5.2 million exp to go until the 13.74 million mark is reached (for level 99). That's about 25 hours. Once done and considerable story progress is made, I can finally start the test.
I can get preliminary results shortly after I get the dawn shard (I need Cuchulainn), but I won't be able to see the true extent until I get near the end of the game. With the way things are looking, I should have around 6600 to 6616 HP and 298 to 301 MP once I hit level 99. This is otherwise about what I got on my very first play... and I never knew of the existence of this trick until only recently. 3700 exp a minute means 1405 minutes remain, 23.4 hours of urstrix and dive talon mayhem.
You should try to get perfect HP/MP for all characters. That'd be tough, though. You'd have to go through the story with your level as low as possible until you get all the characters. And then make sure you kill off every character but one so you can focus on leveling one character at a time. It'd probably take around 400-500 hours, I think.
I'm not after true perfection. Beyond about level 15, there's just so much variation that, instead of about 12 minutes on average being spent toward quit and reloads, it's around 30, if not more. Low level games just aren't my thing. The closest I get to that is with FF6.
Now say "mmmkay" at the end of every sentence LOL
