  • I love these beautiful videos.....Indian men are so beautiful; I could watch them wrestle all day. I wish I was born Indian in India...and that I was lucky enough to be in a wrestling group like these beautiful ....lucky men.....sigh.....

  • Good vid, I am currently reading: The Wrestlers Body, Identity and Ideology in North India by Joseph S. Alter.

  • Why is this video not suitable for minors.

Can't Western children see two men touching each other even for sports, when they are half-naked. Are they only supposed to look at naked women?

  • If they were punching each other in the face (like boxing) I am sure it would have been approved without restriction.

    Remember, Americans descended from PURITANS!

It is inappropriate for men in western society to hold hands in public, or touch each other without hatred.

That is why sexual child abuse is so rampant in sexually repressed cultures.....because touching between consenting adults is supressed and disdained.

  • @myfavoritehome Also, folk style wrestling is a popular sport in American high schools and, colleges. They wear singlets, which are tight fitting and, they touch each other! There are also submission grappling, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes and, tournaments that are growing in popularity. The Mixed martial arts competitions feature lots of grappling. So, Americans are not puritans, nor are they opposed to men touching each other in grappling, or fighting contests.

  • this is the real stuff unlike that fake WWE crap

  • wow..94 and looks like 60

  • indians are strong

  • now this is real n true wrestling as opposed to WWE etc

  • oh well I ain't much into sports, but these dudes sure r hot

  • Brilliant way for the sport, dedication and devotion. Good sportsmanship and top class wrestling. Inspiring stuff for us in the west.

  • please can you keep posting these vids from india

wonderful to see the different styles

  • How the hell do you get that big by not eating meat?

  • milk, almonds, ghee, daal roti makes you big. Don't need meat.

  • So they do use animal products. They aren't vegetarians then. Perhaps it's about not eating what is killed?

  • vegetarians don't eat meat. Vegans are the ones who don't use any animal product at all.

  • Vegetarians are those who don't east flesh, red meat or any sort of food that involves killing an animal or a living being for food. Though you are perfect at saying 'vegetarian's don't eat meat', they do drink milk and eat ghee along with other milk products as it's known as amongst the strongest and the purest forms off food stuff within India. That's why it's said eat desi ghee (country made ghee) and become a pahelwan (man of steel). It's really strong and soothing to your mind hmmm....

  • It depends on the person. Not everyone is built to survive on dairy products, which contains galactose. For some is absorbed well for others it can cause allergic reaction, indigestion and inflamation. I for one, would love to live on milk but I am not well built for it. Do you know what I mean? Their ancestors adapted to consume many dairy products.

  • the vegetarianism that is practiced my majority of Indians in su-vegetarianism ... in which u can take milk and other dairy products. but not meat or eggs.

  • plants also have protiens u fool...lols

  • Very interesting. Thanks for posting

  • guru hanuman. we all salute you

  • nice stuff. thanks!

  • I've just recently introduced to the amazing history of Indian wrestling and your video really confirms my impression about it. Do you have any documentary videos about the legendary great Gama or Bholu Pahalwan? I really enjoyed your "Indian wresling" video. Thanks.

  • looks like it hurts like hell...lol...one guy almost broke his back!

  • This is my wretling club. However we do not practise on mud anymore, its all Mat now.

  • I have never seen indian wrestling. Interesting, sexy. thanks for posting.

  • Very rare footage of guru hanuman. The program has to be pretty old.

The wrestling school is still going which is great because in the physical body DVD doc.

  • That was pretty interesting.

  • Fantastic, I have seen oil wrestlers in the balkans

  • They look kinda strong.

  • woh - these guys are hardcore.

I particularly like the part about them not getting married, this single item could save alot of heartache for many men the world over, that's enlightenment.

  • Interesting look at a different form of wrestling, thanks for upping :)

  • This looks like freestyle in the mud. But this looks awesome, they're like indian shaolin monks only they actually can fight.

  • kinda brutal

  • this is great, thanks for posting

  • Much thanx for this vid... I am big on native fighting arts..and it's good for people to see indian wrestling(pehlwan) This art might be older than the greek version

  • yes, this is older than greek wrestling because Indian civilization, along with many other civilizations, are older than Greco-Roman culture. Greco-Roman culture, just like any other culture that comes about after others are formed, naturally borrows it's ideas, religion, and technology from previous cultures. Everything has to start somewhere, everything has to have a foundation that it builds upon.

  • that doesn't mean the art is older necessarily.

  • AWESOME!!! Thanks for posting! Guru Hanuman, who passed away some years ago, was a legend in Indian wrestling - both trraditional Kushti and Olympic style wrestling.

  • Great video.. I enjoy getting to see a more diverse array of international wrestling, and particularly enjoyed watching Indian Clay Wrestling.

  • Fascinating. Where did you get it?

I've got something similar I got from Budo videos.
