@tobygiessen Thx, its impossible to create same swing in Zebra because an update removed the swing function but i tried to redo it in Reason instead. Try search for Reason 5 Deep House Thing. Also one of my videos.

I was kind enough to make the Reason version a TUTORIAL so people could learn how i did the swing thing on keys. Man, strange people out there. You really gotta cut down on those pills :)

@forwardpdx I really hate to get in on this whole semantics thing, but how the f* is this NOT deep house? It has everything a basic deep house track needs. It has a 4 to the floor kick pattern, a clap on the second beat, a hihat on the offbeat, a tad of 16th swing - a simple house beat. It's around 120 BPM, the gold standard for deep house. It has a nice bass. It has characteristic deep house stabs and synths in a _typical_ deep house pattern. This my friend, is deep house. Well done michael.

@rickylascaze001 Well all that plays is a bass, drums and then that multipatch, so i guess what your hear at 0.25 is the small pad animated within the multipatch. Its kinda like an Organ which bends up and down.

Yeah I get the rhythmic lfo bit..But what instrument did you start out with

at the core of this sound..It sounds like some sort of plucked instrument..

@nitranedj A plucked sound could do something similar, in this case its a Saw waveform which comes out plucked like because the VCF filter is modulated in a sharp rhythmic fashion. Its all in the filter modulation.

I'm talking specifically about the synth you hear at 0:08 up to 0:15. Or even showing me the synth parameters in Zebra.. And i'll work on

doing the same on massive. And post it as a guide if I can.

@nitranedj You need to be able to either set up rhythmic LFOs in a swing fashion or draw modulation based on swing and then have those things modulate the filter and amplitude. In the Zebra case i use drawing method.

@benicenow123 By combining 2 or more lfo's you can get various rhythmic feels, usually a mix between triangle, sine and saw down motion. the lfo's control the vcf frequency. if you can control phase on lfo then its even better. Experiment with different synced time interval on each lfo.

Zebra so clear and neutral that you can add what ever you want on effects and filters, EQ...it sounds neutal in the best way possible...in my humble opinion

@The7OmO The swing factor in Zebra 2.5 is bugged so i cant produce the same pluck before the bug is fixed.

@leparditas This video is only Zebra VST, a limiter and a maximizer. Zebra do all instruments and drum, limiter makes sure nothing gets distorted and the maximizer raise the percieved volume of it all. Maximizer is the little blue one in lower right corner, limiter is the one next to Zebra on the left. The limiter is a discontinued product from Kjaerhus called MPL-Pro, the Maximizer is a plugin that comes with Cubase.

@AndyCantrel180 Dunno, perhaps i'll look at it again when the swing factor gets fixed in Zebra. The swing factor loose its swing feel over time so its not constant with current version of Zebra. Wont be long before a new version of Zebra is out since a new beta have been released.

@uralumkinman Any Intel based PC, I have a Quad Core Q8200, 2.33 Ghz and 4 GB Ram and use ASIO4ALL as audio driver. Stick to low CPU VST's like Zebra, Synth1, Sylenth1, Pro 53, ImpOSCar, Helix, Surge, Korgs Analog and Digital Edition.
