i think the story is

at the beginning of the song you can see that their eye color is black and there is not much color in the whole scene which means their life became dull the boy wants his old life back and thinks he probably made the wrong decision to stay with that girl (luka) He breaks up with her for that reason and since Luka doesn't want to give him anymore pain she just stays friends with him (meaning breakup) and leave.

And during the flashback you can see their eye color actually have color and that their surroundings also have color which means before they were happy with each other. After seeing the flashback the boy was shocked at what he done to Luka and is shocked that she left him (:
