Unfortunately Ice Hockey is one of the least popular sports down here :( We (fans) would love it to be the other way round, but for some reason the Aussies prefer football, netball and soccer.
It's not a fighting league as the penalties are harsher than say the NHL, but yeah theres fights here and there. But fights aren't what hockey's all about..
where is the audience. This must be the most unpopular sport in Oz. Shame as I like it

It can get kinda out of hand though sometimes, like a fight we had here in Canberra last year. Went waaay too far.
