Just because you take Chantix doesn't mean you'll be up for days, depressed & irritable, and violent or kill yourself because one or two people of the millions who took it did. They have to mention the "possible side effects" when they do these studies. If one person experiences facial twitching or passes out they HAVE TO by law list it as a possible side effect. Doesn't mean you will.
Am i real? i haven't slept for 7 days and keep crying! This is the worst medicine i have ever been on! i cant stand day dreams of horrible things that torture me through all hours of the day. There is no hope for me!
@MrChainSaul lower your dose!!! cut the pills in half you are taking too much I had friends who had bad side effects lowered the dose and were fine after that.
Ive tried to stop so many times.and a friend gave me his Chantix script and it worked didnt have any side effects or issues its been awsome.And I smoked one and a half packs a day.It hits everyone different.

This is paxil remarket as a drug to help ppl kick ther craving for nicotine. It is psychotropic medication witch is in the same class as LSD and Yes many people have killed themself and others while on this sort of med. when you hear of school shootings and murder suicides on Tv and they mention the killer has a history of mental illness, they arnt talking about ppl who escaped the loney bin they mean ppl with prescriptions for antidressents, cuz if yer on them your mentaly il chantix=paxl

you would probably be having most of these side effects with quitting cold turkey that you have with Chantix. each person is different. I was much more irritable and violent outbursts plus sleep trouble when going cold turkey. I am much calmer quitting with chantix. and i will put up with the vivid dreams and constipation to be able to quit these nasty cigs. quit for 2 weeks now. barely any cravings.

Chantix is a miracle pill! It actually works. Stop worrying about the side effectx and just take it. I bet the tobacco companies started alot of the side effect hype anyways. If you wait for a bad side effect to happen it will. Just ignore all this bad hype. Go to walgreens they have a walgreens brand over the counter sleeping pill called sleep II, take it about 1/2 hr. before bed and you wont have to worry about vivid dreams ar insomina,

I think all the side affects together is better than having cancer!!!! im going try and I am very exited... I have been try to quit for a long time and if having insonia, depression and nightmares is the price for it... I take it!
To counter the insomnia, you should just take an over the counter sleep aid like tylenol or advil pm. As far as the dreams are concerned...I'm on day 37 of Chantix (smoke free for almost a month), and I'd say the dreams are more vivid as opposed to nightmares. You tend to remember more of your dreams on Chantix, but I haven't had any nightmares. Nausea is the other side effect I experience, but I don't have any if I take the pill with food.

Our dr told us to take it for two or three weeks before we quit. Today is my 12th day and I am down to two a day from 20 a day! I know I will quit before our quit day as I don't even think about smoking. some dizziness and I had a crying jag today. Felt sad and lonely but it passed in ten minutes. Some of the warning scare me but the thought of dying of lung cancer scare me more. I had quit 9 yrs ago and one puff five months ago got me right back up to a pack a day! This is the last time!

Cigarretes are holding me back in a lot of things in my life.

To counter the insomnia, you should just take an over the counter sleep aid like tylenol or advil pm. As far as the dreams are concerned...I'm on day 37 of Chantix (smoke free for almost a month), and I'd say the dreams are more vivid as opposed to nightmares. You tend to remember more of your dreams on Chantix, but I haven't had any nightmares. Nausea is the other side effect I experience, but I don't have any if I take the pill with food.
