i have a question is it only at islands of adventure and can you even ride the rides during it?

actually, they have only done it at islands of adventure like twice. it is done usually at universal studios and yes the rides are run during the event

They've done it at IOA four times. 18 will be at Universal Studios, and yes you can ride the rides.
