i got a 94 flareside itsa great truck its got the inline 6 and a standard transmission only thing wrong is it needs a heater coil and some new tires but it still runs excellent
lets put it this way lol...........i was hard on her and broke a rod and i drove it 20 miles that way to my grandpas shop it over heated and all but it never stoped running............it had water in the oil and everything when i got to the shop i shut it off then came back the next day and started it up to show my grandpa what happened too it and it fired right up it was knocking EXTREMELY HARD but still ran lol.......... good old inline 6s
ok was just wondering because i got an 88 with a 300 and its got 250k on it and i have ran the shit out of it since it was new and it still runs like new.....i love whtat u got now how much it cost u?
well the best way id say too get some power out is get a good head and intake combo....u can make pritty dam good power that way with out rebuilding yr whole motor oo and possibly cam it also to get more air fuel mixture in to make more power also.........its the cheepest way to do it really
mix...Mid-year 1991 Ford started using roller cams in these engines. The rating went to 195 that year. The factory brochures don't list HP after 1990. You can start by checking the engine itself out. I timed mine a little faster, put a chip in and better exhuast. Get it to breath better, and it will help. The factory pre-heater and cats, some call it double cats, but in fact the first "cat" is actually a pre-heater. Since your truck's been around for awhile, you might consider going new.
i think id like the carburated motor im my truck too instead of the damn electronic fuel injection..... this way u have plenty of room to work on stuff
Nice ride man....that an M5OD stick or what?????sounds good would like to see it run.And tina....ever see the dukes of hazzard?Guess where the tach is in The General.....

How did you get the fuel pressure down for the carb? Factory fuel pressure is pretty high on these. 45-60psi I believe.

I run a 4.11 gear ratio. I'd recomend 3.73 with a 302, especially one built. just my $.2
