Acer Extensa 4220 Screen Problems

hmm this happens with all acer computers. i don't know if it's good or bad, because sometimes the problem seems to just go away after a while. hmmm..., i had this on my acer aspire 3610 hehe (very old model roughly 4 years old)

Never buy Acer again. I had the same problem here in Spain but with a LCD TV 37 screen from this bloody brand. Problem started just after one month we bought the TV. I got 3 repairs in 2 years warranty, waiting for months to get repaired each time. A shame. I've started a legal acction against them now.

i have the acer extenza 5620 for almost a year and had no issues but most issues with mine is the BSOD all the time its a curse with vista.

did you push in the lcd screen at all?

acer laptops are cheep though.

it will probably be better just to go out and by a new one and ask someone to get all your programs and file onto that one. and just sell that one had a pawn shop or a computer place for spare parts

or maybe you can just replace the lcd screen. id cost alot for someone to do it i havnt done it for a labtop only for a psp

Well i sent it off again and it's fixed (for now at least), never buying Acer again, plain cheap and nasty with the worst customer service that accuse you braking it when you send it to them.

question though... how did u get ur screen to look so "reflective"? Cuz i have an extensa but my screen isn't reflective like yours.

It's always been like that, having watched that video again i can actually see myself a bit at the start.

I can tell you that i'm pretty sure it's an lg lcd screen as the replacement part name/number on the reciept starts off lg xxxxx.

My advive: Get the Acer Extensa 5620G. It is much better than the 4220 model you have. You get loads of free software with it and a much better graphics card.

Yeah im gettin the Acer Extensa 5620G with Radeon x2500 I hear that its the second best out of the ATI for the laptops..

Absolute terd of customer service repairs. Do not buy Acer products!!!!!!!!

Ive sent it back,put the video on youtube for them because it doesnt always happen.If they dont find a fault they charge you 40 quid!

Anyway they recieved it damaged,operator wanted me to pay over 140 quid o fix it! Put an enquiry with them to investigate DHL

If they mess me about, i'm not buying acer again - or recomend them, Dell all the way (have 3 of them, no probs, although design wise acer looks better!) . Hope they do a decent job, especially as the 3rd biggest computer maker now!
