necrophagist is amazing, but they cant write heavy riffs that well. Soreption is much better at mixing it up.

I wouldn't go as far as saying they are better than nercophagist. They are very good, but necro has a very distinct style.

These guys are definitely good, but definitely not as good as Necrophagist. All of Soreption's songs sound extremely similar with very little distinction. The exact opposite can be said for Necrophagist. Like homicidalmonkey said, Necro has a very distinctive style that doesn't sound like any other band out there today. Soreption sounds like several death metal bands I have heard before. Even still, these guys kick ass, no doubt. Props.

I think you'll find that it was just the mic not picking up the bass frequencies. It happens a lot.

Well, it depends on what tunning is he using. On the price of his bridge, maybe it's a low cost bridge, maybe he didn't done his set up. And, most death metal bassist are using a little bit distorted bass effect. (:
