I think PFR is the greatest Christian band ever. I think they're were artists in a sea of mirrors. In the past decade only Joy Electric has had the same kind of musical vision as PFR
Not being a fan of contempary christian music I must say PFR stands out as truly unique and very gifted as song writers. I wouldn't be surprised to hear some artist years from now saying they were greatly influenced by this band.
hey, didnt anyone noticed at minute 2:00 a picture that has an "xxx" in white?? I don't say that was left on purpose or that means something incorrect, but is very hidden and looks wierd.
me want copy...you make me one yes? (just kidding hehe...ill find it on amazon or something...) Love this song...and band...one of the most underestimated Christian bands of their time...Great Lengths being their most well-known album..and one I will own again...eventually. Tnx to poster :-)
I totally agree. PFR is awesome and it doesn't get much better than than. Thanks for answering. At least people are watching etc. They had some really great music.
I remember when this CD was popular. I was seeing a Christian counselor for some stressful things I was going through. His method of treatment "Get the freakin' Great Lengths CD, By PFR."
I'm not kidding. That's exactly what he told me....and at that time, I was NOT a PFR fan. This CD changed my mind!
I was so bummed when the band ended, this was my all time favorite group and song for years. I still have my great lengths tape. They have such a unique sound to me. love em.
@vwagenjetta Wow That's Awesome that Joel Hanson is the worship leader for your church:D I love PFR:D Skillet is also An amazing band, Hope all is going fantastic for you and God bless:D
I've always loved PFR's not-so-subtle Beatles influences. I'd never seen this video before, and I was struck by how much Joel resembles John Lennon in the close-up sepia shots. Eerie, in a way.
You're right! their melodies are very much beatle-like and Joel does resemble Lennon. Too bad Lennon didn't have the same beliefs as Joel does though :( We can only hope John's in heaven but...
I never knew they released any videos. I had the opportunity to see them once in 1994(?) Jars Of Clay opened up for them and it was before "Flood" became a huge crossover hit for the Jars. Too bad these guys still don't tour or make recordings regularly. As well as being great musicians their songwriting kept getting better. "Disappear" was fantastic and one of their last CDs.
no kidding...they play Jesus Freak 6 times a day on Christian Hit Radio network...yet they won't play Steve Taylor, Ian Eskelan, PFR, and a myriad of other great artists.
!!! PFR used to be one of my favorite bands! Man, I must have listened to the Great Lengths album nonstop. I never knew they made a video for this song. Thanks for posting it.
sorry dont have the stuff to upload the songs but you can get them on itunes for about 60 cents a song. If I remember right they broke up because they wanted to spend more time with family because they were gone from home so much.
If you are a Christian, an you see this, please pray for me, I'm going through a really tough time.

I stopped listening to a christian radio station because they stopped playing the groups I liked.
DC Talk is good but so is Cindy Morgan, Eric Champion, Out of the Grey, etc. Point of Grace had some good songs also. Howard

When I first came to Christ, I heard this album and liked it a lot. They sound like an updated Beatles.
