  • check out the price.....5 bucks..lol i still remember

  • Thx for the great tune...quick Q though: are ya certain that the correct date is posted for this one? I have the exact version on ABB's Wipe The Windows, Check The Oil, Dollar Gas live compilation, and think it may credit this tune to a different gig. Gotta dig it outta the attic and solve this one haha. Stay cool.

  • im 54 yrs old and this stil makes me cry

  • As the first note hits from a classic ABB song, you can just feel the blues dripping off it like molasses and honey dripping of a warm and tasty biscuit just out of the oven. Yum.

  • デュアンの死を吹っ切るような、粘りに粘るディッキー・ベッツの粋な猛烈スライド、オールマンズ"Ain'tWasti'nTimeNoMore"

  • @TheEvilflea

i've always thought so, as well.

  • The most underrated band of all time! The allman bros. should be a subject in school lol

  • Just Sheer beauty in every note...

  • Phenomenal!

  • Had me a time machine I'd immediately set it to 12-31-72 New Orleans and put it into an endless loop...

  • When they ask me why? my hair is long and still tap my toe ! this will be my answer! As I pick myself yet another time by the boot straps I need a reminder and this time this one is it! as WE raise our children ,raise them well and yes THEY will know ! PEACE Rick Wichita Ks. Via western slope Rocky Mts.

  • This was New Years Eve 1972. It is Betts on slide. Brothers played many News Years Eve concerts at A Warehouse in NOLA. Duane played at the 1971 concert. It's my poster shown with this video from the 1972 concert. Vince Vance & Valients also played (a local NOLA 50s act; like Sha-Na-Na). There is a State of Tennessee sticker on the poster from gas stations that I collected while heading to Smoky Mountains with then girlfriend, now wife 37 yrs. We'd stop for gas in states and pick 'em up.

  • @hgernha

cool story. wish i'd been there.

  • One of my most favorite concerts from what I can remember lol. Is there anymore of this concert out there? I do remember that we ran R.E.O. Speedwagon off the stage.

  • @diver53lgc ~ Sounds like when I saw the Rolling Stones and Santana..Iggy Pop got boo'd off the stage.

The first live show for me was the Allman Bros., front and center.

  • @proveyourlove2me iggy is a dick..........saw him once...he got pissed spit and left after 1/2 of a song- f iggy

  • Duane Allman=God

  • this shit still blows my mind

  • now this is what i'm talking about.

  • Fucking amazing. It doesn't get any better than this live version of this song!

  • My grieving song for the loss of my father. It still picks me up.

  • if you dig this, search for the out of print vinyl MAR Y SOL festival, double album. theres a live version of this song on there, same time period. lots of other good tunes too, including ELP, nitzinger, cactus, etc.

  • No its Dec. 31,1972.

  • this is friday dec 31 1971....not 1972..

    berry on bass

  • Amazing, never thought I'd hear an early live version of this gem

  • who is playing slide on this? It sounds like Duane but he died a year before this....

  • @CTiger1207 Now that's a ? friend....Off the cuff, I'm going to say Dickie Betts, but I could be wrong....

  • That's Dickey on slide, believe it or not.

  • @CTiger1207 it's def Dickey, if you have the eat a peach lp this tune 1st appears on it and the credits say Dicky Betts Slide guitar i believe its his 1st tune playing slide

1st new tune after Duane's passing...Gregg had said it seemed like Dickey learned to play almost instantaneously from when they lost Duane.

  • Excellent!
