  • subs please!!! OH MY GOD I NEED TO LEARN CANTONESE AND MANDARIN!!!

  • no eng sub?

  • Thank you for the sharing the movie. My goodness, I did not know that director Mr. Cheung (the fortune teller) can act so well, impressive. Carina Lau is a great actress; but she seems to be often understated.

  • Omigod, Fong Bo Bo !!

  • I like the song she is singing in the beginning even though its very old kinda 'o.O

  • no English subtitle!? @_@

  • @Notcoldsoup: Way too late for a reaction, but still :) I respect your opinion , and I myself find German more romantic than French. I am a devoted fan of Asian cinema, and my experience is that Cantonese tend to speak in high tone, which can be harsh on the ears. Cantonese itself is also more expressive and more snappy, the speech is sort of cut into tiny pieces, whereas Mandarin is more fluent and pure. Just my observations. I love linguistics, and I find all languages in the world pretty.

  • no eng sub :(

  • really really great hong kong movie! havent cry for a movie long time, but this movie make me cry...

  • Love the Theme song of this movie... one of the classic.....

  • Carina Lau is so pretty!

  • 我第一次睇戲會睇到喊就係呢套戲!正!

  • could somebody translate the above? :)

  • Fist time he saw this movies.. it made him cry.. it is good!

  • 差小小就真係喊,不過睇完最尾阿敏留比阿傑嘅說話,這段說話會成日在我心中,會令我成日諗起。現在都會諗起。

  • what a classic movie!!!

  • Thank you for your sharing ..I love this movie very much... Do you have " He And She "

  • so sad.. i don't understand cantonese..

  • this is life, my dear

  • I think Cantonese is way more romantic sounding than Mandarin. It's really depends on who's talking. Mandarin women have very very thin and high voices, which makes it unromantic. Cantonese women have deeper lusher voices. But then I'm a person who thinks German sounds more romantic than French so...my views are probably not typical.

  • @Notcoldsoup the voice of a person is not related to what language he or she speaks... maybe the intonation of different languages make certain language more high pitched but i don't see the difference between mandarin and cantonese.

  • @Notcoldsoup D'accord. Not typical. To each his own, right?

  • 這是香港電影特色,

    所有的說話都文文雅雅的,

    沒有了大家生活的味道

  • mandarin dubbs would ruin the movie. you won't get the actual emotion and feelings from the actors. cantonese and mandarin are both romantic, especially the songs.

  • thanks 4 the movie
