@3mate1 - I have no problem with the concept of militias - however this is interesting in that the naming of it for a biblical name and the choice of people by the sheriff of almost exclusively older white guys and they are not representative of the population which has a 20% black population and 36% of familes with children so this retired white guy group is not a local militia representing the people.

My concern is that the sheriff seemed to be setting up his own private army rather than a genuine citizen's militia. I think that the US should look to the Swiss for their militia model.
