For all those wondering, they removed Drachen Fire because of its intensity. It was few of its kind to feature an early roller coaster train design where the center of gravity was placed on the chest of the rider instead of the head and neck, hence it banging everyone around who didn't keep their heads back. Because of the intensity factor, and poor location, with nothing around it to attract unknowing guests, it did not have the popularity that Busch Gardens wished of it.
Could somebody please tell me why they took that coaster away? Please explain in detail if you can....i would appreciate it. Im facsinated with roller coasters very much and i love them. When i went to busch gardens in 2004, it was gone. I didnt think to ask employees why it was gone.
The coaster was rough, it was in the far back corner of Busch Gardens without very many attractions around it attracting pople. Also, the trains squeezed the riders very tiughtly together and didn't allow them to move at all, the cars were very uncomfortable, but mostly it was because it was so rough

Speaking directly with one of the head park managers during my tenure there, Drachen Fire was removed because it was not popular enough. Apparently it was commonplace for it have a minimal line, while Big Bad Wolf would have nearly an hour-long wait (might have been unpopular because of the roughness). The money they got for selling Drachen Fire went towards building Apollo's Chariot.
Very nice recreation. Heading back to the station is a little off, but I don't remember if that part was different after they took out one of the inversions. (I also can't tell which version you used for your remake. lol.)
kool but they removed it :(

Actually, the center of gravity was on the center of the train itself, I believe. B&M coaster put the center of gravity on the rider's heart.

They used the part for the new train thing and they said it was too rough.

they took it out because people would come off the ride with bleeding ears (true story right there)

well yeh... it had cool elements but it was just too damn rough...

If they were bleeding out the ears, they'd be dead. Bleeding out of the ears means severe internal head trauma and typically results in death.
