Seriously fuck that part and the game designers that came up with it! this part is why I put the game down and won't be picking it up again. FUCK the Ghost Busters game!
After about an hr of playing this on professional I found a pretty decent way to glitch it. Stand back in the tunnel where you came out of to start the sequence. Stand to where you can tether the angles and arch it enough to hit the gate. You won't be able to see the gate so it will take a couple of tries. For some reason Ray stays alive and you never have to go out there and revive him. DO NOT USE the slime tether! its useless on this part on professional.
I reloaded the game over 20 times before giving up and downloading a cheat for godmode on the pc version of the game. I feel sorry for you guys who had to endure this without having any sort of way to cheat through it.
This part would have been fine if there were only 2 angels at a time I think. With so many they have it's just retarded overkill..and the gravestone spiders just add insult to injury.

I just beat them, and my basic strategy has always been to use the proton stream (I never thought to use the tethers) and smash them into the actual glowing heads...now THAT'S annoying...once I realized it was just the entire gate I beat it in 1 try. Here's the trick, do just like the video and face the gate and grab 5-6 cupids whenever they get close to you.

This really just took me an hour and a half. Watching the same load screen over... and over... and over... fuck statues, I hate them now...

There are 3 more fights...two of them are the final and 2nd to final boss. You are missing on a really fun series fight that makes up for the terrible stone angels part. Keep enduring it if for any reason you'll be able to replay the good parts of the final battles from you level select.

floor 35 escaping the building you have to slime tether the brick wall to the ceiling so you can get up the stairs........on mission replay how come you dont have a tether, also i think the ghosttrap should have a cord and manual control also i think you should be able to hang up the neutrona wand on your pack instead of holding it

You are exactly right. this fight is REDICULOUS on pro. I think hearing the same song over and over along with the same conversation only added to my frustration. I'm about 45 minutes into trying and still no luck. Perhaps if I had a more useful partner than Ray I could do this..
I will definitely try the running around trick later since the Slime Tether serves no purpose aside from getting the Slime Dunk achievement.
